    Excellent Upgrade

This is an excellent upgrade from the Switch 1. Mario Kart World is well worth it as an included game. The Switch 2 upgrades of games such as both Zelda games play much better and look sharper with the upgraded hardware. The only knock I have is 256 GB is too small of storage, if Nintendo is going to take the approach of wanting to go all digital with their games. If the expectations are to buy additional storage, then they should've opted for Mico SD instead of the new standard Micro SD Express, that's way more expensive for less storage.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything I hoped for and more. The upgraded graphics and smoother frame rates make a huge difference, and the battery life is noticeably better than the original. I love how seamless the transition is between handheld and docked mode—it really feels like a true next-gen portable console. Perfect balance of portability and power.

We love our Nintendo Switch 2! It’s fast, smooth, and the graphics are a big step up from the first model. The bigger screen makes games look amazing, and the improved battery life means we can play longer without worrying about charging. It’s super versatile for both handheld play and docked on the TV. Definitely worth it—fun for the whole family!

This version is a big upgrade over the original Switch. You can really feel the responsiveness, faster load times, etc. I picked mine up at midnight on release day, and when I unboxed it, I was pleasantly surprised at how much bigger it was than the original. It feels good in the hand when you're playing in handheld mode and the screen is bright and has great colors. The controllers also feel more solid compared to the original joy con. Only time will tell if this proves true (we've been through a number of joy cons on the original) Getting to play Gamecube games is also a great addition.

I like the JoyCon 2, for their improved button size, good feeling sticks and matte finish. I also like the large, vibrant screen. Mario Kart world has been great with my siblings, the Zeldas get a nice upgrade, and there will be plenty more awsome games to come over the next decade that just weren’t possible on the original. The only dissapointment I have is that the battery life isn’t quite as good as the Switch OLED, but that is a tradeoff of powerful, portable, good value hardware.

The Switch 2 is everything you'd want out of an console upgrade. Everything runs faster and smoother. I've heard complaints about the screen and while it's disappointing that it's not OLED, it is still great for mobile playing. My only complaint is that I wish the battery lasted longer.

The new switch is awesome! I waited a little over a month to write a review so that I could allow some time to pass to fully get the experience using it. The larger screen is great, new joy cons are easier to use and the graphics are much much better than the previous version. Every game loads quicky and looks awesome. Playing Zelda, Pokemon and the new Donkey Kong bananza game have all proved to be great on the Switch 2. Can’t wait to play Pokemon legends Z-A when it releases!!

We got the Swicth 2 at midnight release. It is a great console, following up to the first one, and while the display is not as good as the OLED model, it makes up for in size, better joy cons and capacity. We have a blast evrytime we play it, and that's what I like about the Switch 2: Everyone can play it, you can use it handheld or docked and it's easy to use.

This console is amazing. I don't really use it portably, but when I do it's comfortable in my opinion. Got the bundle because it's cheaper than buying the console and the game I was gonna buy anyway separately, and now I have less of an excuse to trade it in later on. All of my digital purchases have transferred to my new console. Some switch 1 games indeed run better without an update, so get to collecting. Holding the console in my hand with the joycon attached feels like I'm holding a miniature theater screen in my hand, it's pretty insane. Can't wait for the OLED version.

Sure thing, Bradley! Here’s a simpler version of the review: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Upgrade! The Nintendo Switch 2 is awesome. The screen looks way better, and games run super fast and smooth. The new controllers feel great and snap on easily. Playing in 4K when docked is a big step up, and the sound is clearer too. I’ve had a blast with new games—everything looks and feels better. If you liked the first Switch, you’ll love this one even more. It’s totally worth it!

Nintendo Switch 2: A Monumental Leap Forward! I've been a dedicated Switch fan since day one, but the Nintendo Switch 2 is more than just an upgrade—it's a complete revolution for hybrid gaming. Nintendo has taken everything that made the original great and polished it to a mirror sheen, delivering an experience that feels truly next-gen. Performance & Graphics: Stunning Clarity The immediate difference is the visual fidelity. The new, larger OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous, making old favorites look brand new and giving launch titles a stunning depth and clarity. Playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at a buttery-smooth 60fps, in true 4K resolution when docked, is an experience I didn't know I was missing. Load times are practically non-existent thanks to the new processor, which keeps the action fast and fluid whether you're docked or on the go. The Joy-Con Pro: Finally Perfected The redesigned "Joy-Con Pro" controllers are a massive improvement. The dreaded drift issue seems to be completely resolved, and the new magnetic locking mechanism feels sturdy and satisfying. I particularly love the improved ergonomic grips and the new haptic feedback, which provides incredibly subtle and realistic sensations—a real game-changer for immersion. Battery Life and Design Battery life has seen a significant boost, easily getting me through long travel days without needing a charge. The console itself retains the brilliant hybrid design, but the new, robust kickstand is a small but critical detail that makes tabletop mode much more stable and enjoyable. Final Verdict The Nintendo Switch 2 is not just a console; it’s an ecosystem perfected. If you were holding out for an upgrade or are looking to jump into the Nintendo world for the first time, this is the console to get. It delivers the magic, power, and portability that gaming deserves. Highly, highly recommended!

I'm absolutely loving my new Switch 2 the graphics are stunning, and the battery life is impressive, so I can play for hours on end. The game library is fantastic, with so many amazing titles to choose from. The portability is perfect for gaming on the go, making it easy to take my favorite games wherever I go. Overall, it's an amazing console that I'm so happy to have.

Definate improvement from the first gen. Graphics, resolution and detail, plus many other features like the magnet controllers, mouse controllers. And mics on the controllers and actual memory on the thing! Missing features that were very needed and much appreciated. Games no longer look embarrassing on the big screen. Its a little backed in tech still bjt will jold for the next 3 years or so.

Better than the original launch model Switch in every way. From the bigger screen, better performance with older Switch 1 titles that got free or paid upgrades, bigger Joy-Con, and 256GB of storage. If you were a huge fan of the original Switch, this upgrade is a no-brainer. Also, buying the Mario Kart bundle saves you $30 instead of buying the $449 Switch 2 and $79 Mario Kart World separately. PS Donkey Kong Bananza is also a must have for Switch 2

This is as good as it gets, or at least so far! The graphics and screen refresh are unparalleled, and the handheld screen is huge! I will say that the back door where the chords connect to the dock are a bit clunky, but it’s a minor issue at best.

The console came in great condition, and had over half of a battery left to set the device up quickly. It came with plenty of instructions, and each piece was individually wrapped and sectioned off inside the box. The device is light, made of a very smooth and rigid plastic and the screen is very bright once you turn off the automatic brightness settings. The Joycon 2s are very comfortable now that they are taller and wider than the first Joycons on the original Switch models. The HD Rumble 2 is on par with the Taptic Engine features on an iPhone but aren’t quite as strong as the phone motors, but it’s definitely a finer and more clicky type of rumble which is nice. The battery life is my only gripe, with about 2.5 hours of feasible gameplay if I manage the brightness in Mario Kart World and play with some headphones. Get a case or a screen protector because the screens scratch very easily unfortunately.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is the upgrade we've all been asking for and it's finally here. The ergonomics for larger hands are significantly better than its predecessor. The color scheme is quite tame, but the build quality overall is much more refined and doesn't feel like a cheaper toy. Nintendo did it right this time around. The display leaves me wanting to play Nintendo releases in handheld as if they're optimized more for the console and not the TV, which is shocking because before I felt it was the other way around. It runs really well on our LG 4K OLED with HDR. My favorite part is the screen size and the joy cons. The joy cons just feel so much better. Buttons aren't loose, everything's firm, it feels premier. We haven't experienced any issues with the console since release and expect to run this thing into the ground for the next decade. If you are on the fence and have an original Nintendo Switch, I'd say it's a great investment. I would trade in you console and pick one of these up to continue the journey with Nintendo's NS2 specific releases. If you have an NS OLED, that would be harder for me, but I came from the OLED and it feels like a noticeable upgrade. I do not miss my OLED at all as this console feels like jumping from a Gamecube and playing an Xbox Series X. Nintendo nailed it. Mario Kart World, it's tons of fun. It's just a racing game, so it's not like it's a massive title like Super Mario Odyssey or Donkey Kong Bananza, but it's worth having in the collection since we all play Mario Kart. Loads of fun and collectibles
