What We Wanted But Not Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is everything the fans asked for. It's more powerful, has more built-in storage, a second usb-c port, and a larger screen. It also includes some things that the fans didn't ask for: 120 HZ refresh rate screen with variable refresh rate, magnetically attached joy-cons, mouse-mode in the joy-cons. Those are nice bonuses for sure and everyone is going to rave about those features, so let's talk about the not so good. A larger screen results in a larger, heavier system. That's fine for a console that sits in a dock on your TV stand. But for something handheld, it causes fatigue just a bit faster than the previous Switch. Nintendo also did nothing to help the ergonomics again, and if you didn't need grips on the last Switch, you might find you do this time. More power and a high refresh rate screen both mean much more battery consumption. So, unfortunately, you're losing a significant amount of battery life in comparison to the most recent Switch - the OLED, and even the outgoing "version 2" LCD Switch has about 30% more battery life. Finally, the new Switch 2 has much more built-in storage, but 256 gb is absolutely not enough in 2025 when other consoles come with 1 or 2 tb and a single game can be 250 gb. Hence, you will likely need to buy a MicroSD card. Unfortunately, you can't use any you had for your original Switch, as the new model requires MicroSD Express, a much faster - yet MUCH more expensive - format. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of hardware, and the power is amazing for a handheld in this price range. Nintendo had a change to knock it out of the park, but part of the shortcomings are inherent to the limits of technology today, and partly bad design decisions. I'll enjoy mine, but if they release a "lite" version that's the size and weight of the original Switch, I will be trading in for that one!

Must buy for gaming fans.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It feels like this is the promise of everything that the Switch should have been. It's a joy to hold and play on portably, and in a dock it shines in 4k. Games, especially updated ones, are plentiful. It has become my preferred platform, knocking my beloved Steam Deck down from the winners podium. I'll ding it a tiny bit for Game Key Cards, but I feel like that problem will solve itself in the future. A must buy for any fan of gaming.

Worth-it upgrade + perfect family bundle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for launch weekend and it’s been a home run for our household. The console feels like everything I loved about the original Switch, just faster, sleeker, and more stable. Setup took about 10 minutes, and transferring our profiles and saves was painless. The new screen looks fantastic in handheld—colors pop and outdoor glare is noticeably better—and docked play feels smoother with snappier load times. As for Mario Kart World: instant classic. The track variety is wild, the new mechanics add depth without scaring off younger players, and online races have been rock solid so far. Local multiplayer still shines—four Joy-Cons, a couch, and chaos in the best way. This bundle basically gives you the party game you’ll play for years on day one.

Good quality graphics.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Supee fast shipping. The switch itself is super cool. The graphics are super clear and more detailed. You can pass down previous downloads from the first switch. So you can play even more games. The controller is smooth and has good grip. Really fast changing. The switch is bigger and has a nice screen super light in weight. Super good gift or for oneself. When you play games the graphics are clear very good definition. And easy for all ages. Love it highly recommend. :)

Best purchase of 2025
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a console that’s easy to jump into and truly feels worthwhile right from the moment you open the box, and this bundle absolutely delivers. The Switch 2 feels polished and responsive, and pairing it with Mario Kart World creates the perfect "day one" experience—within minutes, you’re racing, laughing, and passing controllers around. What I love most is its flexibility: quick pick-up-and-play sessions in handheld mode or dock it to transform it into a living-room party machine. Mario Kart World is the kind of game that everyone can enjoy—kids, casual players, and competitive friends—because it’s simple to learn yet offers plenty of depth to master. The bundle's value is fantastic, too; getting the console and a top-tier game together makes the entire purchase feel like a no-brainer.I wanted a console that’s easy to jump into and actually feels worth it the moment you open the box, and this bundle absolutely delivers. Better than the switch 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo has done it again. They fixed a lot of the complaints from the switch 1 and made the switch 2 even better. Upload times are super fast and the bigger screen and joy con2 controllers are a great upgrade. The joy con2 ergonomically feel much better than their predecessors. Game play has been fun and enjoyable.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start this is my first switch, so i dont have anything to compare it to. As far as first times go, this has blown me away. Performance is great, and the screen looks really good. The battery life has been a bit annoying as I usally run out before I’m done with a gaming session, but it is what it is.

Amazing Home-to-Travel Gaming in One Device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Nintendo Switch 2 for my 8- and 10-year-old kids, and it’s been perfect for them. The best part is how easily it switches from handheld to TV mode—they play at home, take it outside, and continue right where they left off. The games, performance, and portability make it a better fit for our family than the PS5. Simple, fun, and great for young kids. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a family-friendly console.

Needed Performance upgrade. Disappointing games
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switch 2 is an upgrade in every way. No more lag from switch one games. Experience is so much better, bigger screen is nice. Disappointed in the release schedule of new games. Not many fun ones. DK got old fast. Pokémon is repetitive stimming garbage. Waiting for some real story games or at least try’s with story. It really improves switch 1 games though.

Buy it!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using it for a few months I can honestly said that I’m truly happy of buying it. Zelda looks incredible and runs perfect! (Remember that you must pay for the Switch2 upgrade). I’m amaze how good Cyberpunk looks too, I hope that they give the Witcher 3 an upgrade too, since the Switch2 is a more powerful handheld. Other than that I totally recommend you to buy one and to get ready for Metroid Prime 4!

Sturdier, Faster, Still on Probation
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s get one thing straight — I bought the original Switch, enjoyed it for a solid month, and fully intended to return it… but the wife disagreed so we kept it under mild emotional duress. Fast forward to the Switch 2, and this time, I gave it a shot willingly. Here’s the breakdown from someone who returns literally everything: Performance: Noticeably smoother. I booted up a Mario game and didn’t hear the fan scream like it was doing CrossFit. Frame rates? Solid. My kids noticed, which is wild because they didn’t notice when I got new floors. Screen: It’s sharper than the original and easier on the eyes, even if it’s not OLED. Still, looks good enough to get roasted by in-game characters in high clarity. Battery life: Respectable. Won’t power a road trip, but will survive a few Fortnite tantrums before collapsing. Joy-Cons 2.0: They feel sturdier, but I’m still side-eyeing them like they owe me child support. No drift yet… but I’ve been hurt before. Price + Games: The console isn’t cheap, and the game prices? Might put you in a light financial coma. $70 to get stomped by 8-year-olds in Mario Kart feels personal. Final verdict: Did I try to find reasons to return it? Yes. Did I actually return it? No. That’s basically a standing ovation coming from me. If you’ve got the budget and the nostalgia, the Switch 2 is worth it. Just remember to hide it from your kids until you’ve had a chance to play once.

Nintendo Finally Perfected the Switch Formula
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 with the Mario Kart World bundle is everything I hoped the next generation of Nintendo hardware would be. The system feels faster, smoother, and more refined in every way, while still keeping the simplicity and fun that made the original Switch so special. Mario Kart World is the perfect showcase title. The visuals are sharper, the performance is rock solid, and the larger tracks and expanded modes make it feel fresh without losing the classic Mario Kart charm. Whether you’re playing solo, online, or with friends on the couch, it’s pure fun from the moment you boot it up. The improved hardware really shines in both handheld and docked modes. Load times are noticeably faster, gameplay feels more responsive, and the display upgrade makes colors pop and motion look incredibly smooth. It still switches instantly between TV and handheld play, which remains one of Nintendo’s best ideas. What really stands out is how polished the experience feels. Setup is quick, the interface is clean, and everything just works. This bundle is an incredible value, you’re getting a flagship Nintendo system paired with a must-have game that shows exactly what the Switch 2 is capable of. If you’re upgrading from the original Switch or jumping into Nintendo for the first time, this bundle is a no-brainer. It’s fun, refined, and instantly feels like the future of Nintendo gaming.

Easy Best Buy Pickup and a Worthy Switch Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered the Nintendo Switch 2 from Best Buy for in-store pickup and everything went smoothly. Pickup was fast and easy, and I was in and out within minutes. The Switch 2 itself feels like a solid upgrade—better screen, faster performance, and an overall more polished feel compared to the original. Setup was quick and painless. Very happy with the purchase and the pickup experience.

A worthy upgrade to an awesome hybrid console
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for one but hadn't been able to find one for a month since launch. All of a sudden on my birthday I got an email from best buy saying they had some so I immediately ordered one. Upon unboxing you could tell they stepped the feel up a notch and the console itself is quite a bit bigger than the OLED and the v1 that I had previously. After setting up and installing my screen protector I discovered that the right joycon had no vertical movement. I took the console to the store and they had me return the whole thing. The experience with the guy was a little rocky at first, he seemed cranky and hesitant to help me. But when I returned with all the parts and pieces his tune had completely shifted and he was pleasant and helpful. Even let me get another screen protector without additional cost. I've now got over 20 hours on my switch 2 and I've gotta say it's great.

Better performance less thought out
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch 2 is just a better performing switch 1 (the obvoius i know) if you got an oled or og just stick with that most games at the time of review don't take advantage of the better specs anyway. The weight of the console undocked doesn't sound like a problem until you realise how unergonomic it is the weight makes it harder to keep steady especially on car rides, which admittedly is just a minor annyonce until your aiming in any game.(seriously why not add a slight bump or some texture to the joycons it shouldn't cost much more.) So in short bigger more powerful switch they really should have done more with the exterior.

Worth every unemployed penny.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used my OLED every single day, and since buying the Switch 2, I have still used it every single day for almost the last month. I’ve been unemployed since February, not by choice at all, and life has been a bit overwhelming and lonely. The Switch 2 has been so fun, the new Mario Kart has been addicting to get used to all the new maps for the first time in YEARS. I love how big the screen is, and the magnetic joycons are a game changer. The ONLY complaint I have is the battery life, and we knew that was coming so I guess I can’t be too disappointed. I’ve taken on an airplane and it drained over half its battery life in a 3 hour flight, which was a bummer. But it charges fast and I don’t regret the purchase one single bit!

Favorite for 6 and 8 year olds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is so kid friendly, but fun for the parents too! Definitely glad we purchased the bundle with MarioKart included. Love that we can take this on the go and the screen is big enough for both of them to play together on the go. Highly recommend for intro to video games for kids.

Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario kart world
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World is a stellar step up in Nintendo’s hybrid gaming lineup. The upgraded hardware shines with a crisp 7.9″ 1080p screen, smoother graphics, and responsive performance whether you’re playing handheld or docked on a large screen. The magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers feel more solid and ergonomic than previous models, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable. Mario Kart World is a standout launch title. It pushes the franchise forward with a sprawling world that lets you race seamlessly across interconnected courses, dynamic weather, and varied environments that feel fresh and exciting. You will love the open world exploration and smooth online play, making it one of the franchise’s most ambitious entries yet. Backward compatibility opens up the entirety of the switch one’s gaming library and even optimizes many prior games to run much smoother on the new hardware, breathing life back into some games. Overall I love the system and look forward to Nintendo and other developers squeezing every ounce of power out of this hybrid system.
