This is a rating for the terrible service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the terrible experience while buying this item from Best Buy. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift and had "same-day delivery" a service that ROADIE provides in my Area. Well guess what they never delivered, making the item as 'Delivery Canceled, Package was Not Ready.' Very shady, who knows if the carrier just stole it or what. So guess what, since the item is 1 per account I could not buy it again to be here on time. Best buy representatives could not help cancel that order so I could at least buy it back. Last representative hang up on me closed the chat and told me my conversation was unproductive. I am frustrated of course but I was always respectful . BUYERS BEWARE, if you need the item on the same day, never choose same day delivery by ROADIE. Do yourselves a favor and just go to the store in person. I wont buy this item from Best buy anymore just because of this awful experience. Will take my business somewhere else.

Best Buy stole my money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered a Nintendo Switch 2 to be delivered. The first delivery attempt failed to deliver. I called asking for it to be changed to store pickup and was giving a day to pickup up a replacement in store. The next day, a very light package that clearly did not contain a gaming system was delivered without my signature. It contained a dirty rag and a small car part. I called immediately to customer service and said I can just get the store pickup the next day. The next day, the store pickup was cancelled by the "backdoor financial customer service" team (as the customer service people called them) hours before I was going to pick it up. When I called customer service, they said I requested this cancellation, which I did not. I was told they can put in a request for a refund but the "back team" has to process the request in 48-72 hours. Two days later, I got a email from customer service saying I would get a refund but must send in the item. I sent the item to Best Buy warehouse. Customer service sent an email saying they would process they would check the item within 7-10 business days and process a refund 7-10 business days after that which I would receive in my bank 7-10 business days after that. 10 days later, I received the item back with no notification. I emailed back to customer service saying I never got a refund and explained i never got an item to begin with (getting no response). I called customer service, and the representative said he could put in a request for a refund and the "financial team" will process this in 48-72 hours. I said we already tried this and asked for a manager. I was directed to Geek squad, and the "manager" said it was my first request for a refund, which is untrue. She said the refund will be responded to by the "financial team" in 48-72 hours. It has been 3 full business days, and customer service has yet to respond to the request. It's now been exactly a month since I placed my order, and I have neither been given a Switch 2 or a refund. The system for customer service is poorly designed, and the customer service team constantly misread, doesn't comply with, or straight up ignores request

buy it ONLY IF you appreciate the bare minimum.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 might be a technical leap forward, but it’s shackled by one of the most anti-consumer EULAs in modern gaming. If you believe in the simple idea that you should own what you pay for, this isn’t just disappointing—it’s offensive. Nintendo wants all the benefits of you buying the hardware, while retaining all the control as if you hadn’t. For a company that built its legacy on giving players joy, it’s deeply ironic that this console feels more like a lease than a celebration of gaming freedom. Rating: 4/10 – Buy at your own legal risk.

Wait until it has something decent to play.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Meh, boring. I got Mario Kart World on this, played for about 4 hours, and now it collects dust. Nintendo's move to use "Game key cards" which are glorified codes to redeem Nintendo online downloads, is a terrible move. Nintendo seems to be leading the charge to the dystopian world where you'll own nothing. Would've expected Microsoft to do it first. It's also substantially less powerful than a PS4 pro, but nobody should be expecting "power" from a Nintendo product. They're the Apple of the gaming world. Every single console that has a third party game that is also on the Switch 2, plays better on those other consoles. This includes cell phones. Nintendo also hasn't added achievements. They've finally added usernames for online though, instead of "friend codes". How Nintendo manages to provide a worse experience than the Sega Dreamcast for online play truly baffles me. Oh yeah, Nintendo still hasn't added Hall Effects to their controllers, so expect stick drift later. But this is no different than Microsoft or Sony. Weird that the Dreamcast had hall effects on their controllers and they still work just fine, 20 years later. The price doesn't justify the product. Instead of being a loss leader to sell software, they make a substantial profit on these things. That tells me they don't have much faith in their games.

Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent but there’s not a lot of new games. I enjoyed using it but I would recommend waiting another year or 2 for more games to come out. Also expensive lol

Regret
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console barely has any games for it, the battery life is awful, joycon drift is still a thing, and is marginally stronger than the original switch. Its a fine device but the fact that nintendo has the ability to completely render it useless if you do anything they dont like, is very scummy and childish of a billion dollar game company.

Decent handheld, not worth the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For it being 2025, i definitely did expect more! The handheld graphics aren't the greatest. For the price point and time period were in i expected a lot more. Feel like this is a 2020 release and not a 2025 product.

It's not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe they've improved some things, but image quality isn't one of them. It's not worth upgrading from the OLED Switch to the Switch 2, unless you want the exclusive games.

Didn't work and Best Buy didn't give a "darn!"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been thinking of purchasing a Nintendo Switch 2 (mostly for our grandkids) since they came out. This past week I noticed that they were available for same day pickup at the Best Buy at which I normally shop. It was my intention to add it to my home theater system which was just purchased from and installed by Best Buy in July and has an old Nintendo Wii connected. While configuring the Switch 2, I was unable to get any picture on the TV. Since I felt the problem was more than likely an issue with the home theater system, I called the Best Buy Geek Squad to arrange for a service call to troubleshoot the problem. I was fully expecting and willing to pay for that service call. I was told that they would not make a service call that I had to make a reservation to take the Switch into the store for trouble shooting. I told them that in order to troubleshoot the issue I would need to bring in my entire home theater system and TV. After that very frustrating conversation I decided to do my own troubleshooting. Nintendo’s support site suggested changing HDMI cables and a different TV. I tried using two different ports in the home theater, three different HDMI cables, and connecting directly to two different TVs. Since none of these configurations produced any TV video, I am now convinced that the issue is with the Switch itself. I have returned the unit to the store. Due to Best Buy’s unwillingness to troubleshoot the issue I will not be purchasing another unit from Best Buy. Post Review Update: When I returned the Switch I spoke to a manager and I was told that if I visited the Geek Squad desk at the store they could have scheduled a home service call to troubleshoot my problem.

Good handheld, below average value for money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well made game console, but it's not the best when it comes to value for money. As a hand held console it's still a good product.

Not good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldnt say fair as most games are not compatible for the "performance boost" you get from this console. Evem when you do play a game with 120HZ and performance mode activated it runs like a potato. Id say better than a ps4 for sure but for what it is worth and how much the games are its UNBELIEVABLE.
