If you regularly use the original Switch and are wanting the latest and greatest, this is it. Games that struggle on the Switch 1 such as the newer Zelda titles and Pokemon play flawlessly on the Switch 2. Solid performance with no frame drops. I would say as a disclaimer though that if the currently released Switch 2 titles are not one of your ‘must-haves’ and the current Switch games that you play run fine, you may not get the full worth out of a Switch 2 until more games that take advantage of the Switch 2 are released. Overall though a great system.

Seriously, this newer version is so much better than the first one. The smoother frame rates make a huge difference in how games feel. Plus, the graphics look way sharper, which is a really nice upgrade. It's definitely worth it if you were on the fence about the original. Overall, a solid improvement that's hard to argue with. I do wish the battery life was better though!

Major update from the original switch. Larger screen is a massive upgrade that makes everything look better. The battery life could be better though with most games only lasting 2 hours.

I think the Switch 2 is awesome. Takes everything good about Switch 1 and made it better. I have enjoyed all the new games and enjoyed better performance on Switch 1 games in my collection that I still play. The bundle with Mario Kart World felt like a great value.

The Switch 2 brings literally everything I had hoped a successor would. For years, I would say if a Switch came out that ran just like (and in this case, better than) a ps4, it would be a massive hit. The Switch 2 is that. While screen quality is not amazing, native 120FPS already had me play games on it over my Steam Deck OLED. Performance will vary, but games like SF6 run great in handheld, and to me performance is what matters. Not to mention, a big portion of your Switch 1 caralogue get a performance and graphical boost as well. The Switch 2 is the right direction for the Switch system. The entire library, leaps of better performance, and even a new gimmick! (Mouse controls)

The larger screen and smooth display makes for a big improvement over the OLED version. Very happy with my purchase and now it's time to get more Switch 2 specific games

Was super excited about getting this and it did NOT disappoint me. The graphics are amazing and its a good size for a handheld gaming system.

Switch 2 offers a bigger screen and better graphics. Def an upgrade can already see the performance difference in SW1 games.

The device itself is very premium feeling in handheld mode, the joy cons are very satisfying to click in and out. The power of the device is better than you'd expect. Mario Kart and DK bananza are a great time.

I've been using the Nintendo Switch 2 for a few weeks now, and it's a major improvement over the original. The OLED screen is stunning—colors are vibrant, and it’s noticeably brighter, which makes a big difference in handheld mode. The performance boost is real: games load faster, run smoother, and the battery life has improved significantly. I also appreciate the improved ergonomics of the Joy-Cons—they feel more comfortable during longer play sessions, and I haven't experienced any drift issues so far. The new kickstand is wide and stable, making tabletop gaming a lot more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
