Excellent, great improvement for switch games

The console is sturdier than the original, and the improvements in performance in old switch games alone is impressive and significant, completely changing the experience of titles such as Pokemon Scarlet

The console is sleek, love how the joycons feel compared to the old ones. Mario Kart World is such a fun game. It does feel like its missing some characters, or a new mode, but there are so many different track options that you would never get bored of them. This is a great deal if you plan on getting mario kart anyway. As for performance, ive even heard the fan running, its hard to tell its even on. I keep seeing people say it runs hot but maybe they got a defective one? Mine runs cool, maybe a bit warm toward the end of game session

I would recommend to purchase more storage with this as well as the Pro Controller if it is within your budget. The game selection is good not great at the time of this review (with DK Bonanza being the clear standout), but Nintendo is releasing a new first party game a month so the catalog will get better. The third party game options are a big step up over the original Switch as well, but I would still prefer to play them on my Series X.
