Nintendo Switch 2 Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console itself is an improvement on the original Switch: larger console but not so much that it feels unwieldy, crisper display, and faster processing power. I like how the Joy-Cons magnetically snap into the console as opposed to sliding in on the original Switch. However, I have noticed that the loading time for a few games feels just as long if not longer than on the Switch but I have not measured the time elapsed so I cannot definitively confirm. Its battery life also seems to drain faster when the Switch 2 is simply sitting on my TV stand undocked but in sleep mode. The price is exorbitant for the limited selection of dedicated Switch 2 games and I bought this begrudgingly so I could play titles such as Mario Kart World with my friends. Speaking of which, the game itself is fine but nothing stellar. You are presented with many characters and vehicles to select from and it includes a few new items to utilize during races. However, the course selection feels limited for a 'world' game especially after playing Mario Kart 8 for so many years. The sheer number of opponents in races feels overwhelming and almost frustrating because you are constantly bombarded with items depending on what place you're in which makes progress difficult. I don't really like how, in the Grand Prix mode, most of the time spent during the subsequent races is traversing the area between the former course to the next one so by the time you reach the latter, the race is practically over. That just feels weird to me. Finally, the Free Roam is by far my least favorite; it is mind-numbingly boring with practically nothing to do except drive around. Those challenges interspersed throughout the land are not engaging enough either to compel me to continue exploring. Overall, the Switch 2 is an improvement on the first Switch but is quite expensive and Mario Kart World is better off being played with friends but even then you might find yourself losing interest. I would recommend this product only if you have enough money saved and there are multiple upcoming Switch 2 games you are interested in playing

Worth the cost, battery sucks
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first Switch and I think the Switch 2 is a great upgrade from the original system. Screen is large and games look beautiful. It runs better, storage is a LOT bigger and the joy-cons are very satisfying to detach and re-attach. The console's price is a little high in my opinion, but if you love Nintendo it's worth it. Biggest downside is the battery, barely lasts an hour depending on if you're playing a graphics intensive game or not; same as the first Switch.

Very Versatile and fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the Nintendo switch 2. I’ve been team PlayStation for over 25 years and I can honestly say this system has some innovative features! The fact that you can play it 3 different ways is innovative on its own. It can be docked (connected to play) on the tv screen, handheld (play on the small screen) or you can just pull out the kickstand behind the switch screen to prop up the screen (you can disconnect the controllers on the side and both attachments turn into 2 controllers). I was mind blown. The Switch really took play anywhere to another level. I didn’t have a Switch 1 but I have no complaints about the Switch 2 so maybe they worked out the kinks and made a great console. The switch 2 doesn’t have a lot of new games but all the switch 1 games work on the switch 2. Including the switch 1 controllers… you just have to pair it. I personally bought the pro controller and switched “A and B buttons” in the system settings because I was so used to the traditional PlayStation controller. At first it was a learning curve but after I made action and back bottoms on the controller work like the PlayStation I was having a great time!!! Great investment. Another recommendation is a portable charger if you plan to have it on the go all the time. I’ve only heard the battery lasts about 4hrs. The most I can play a game is about 1.5hrs maybe 2… then I’m ready to be productive in life. I played for a hour and the battery went down only 23%. I just put it on the dock to change until next time. The controllers charge there too. Connect everything and dock it and your golden. However, If you’re a 5 -8 hr gamer keep that in mind. Another great feature is the dock takes up a small footprint. It’s about 6-8 inches max compared to PlayStations’ console looking like an old school thick encyclopedia- game console still well worth it by the way! Last night I just found out there’s an online feature where you can download all the classic Nintendo games from old Nintendo game boy advanced, game boy, game boy color, sega genesis, and Nintendo’s pixelated arcade era FOR FREE! Some require a $2 fee… some you can only play if you subscribe to the online membership. There’s a 7 day trial to check it out. If you’re a serious gamer $40 a year is well worth it to have all the Nintendo classics on your new 2025 console. I personally only downloaded Tetris but theres Pokémon snap, Pokémon stadium, bajo tootsie… all the Mario’s ever created on each Nintendo system….. the list goes on. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and I still haven’t gone into all the features. Oh and you NEED A MICRO SD EXPRESS for saving the games!!!! Regular micro SD won’t be fast enough. The switch 2 has a temper glass already on it but it scratches. I’d recommend a screen protector as soon as it comes out the box to protect your investment… or not.

Nintendo switch 2 is worth the upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m really enjoying the nintendo switch 2 , It runs older switch 1 games way better and the visuals look fantastic on the switch 2. I know there’s not alot of games out yet for the switch 2, But I really like Mario Kart World and Dk Bonanza. Fast Fusion is also a very good game that you can get in the Nintendo eshop for $14.99. Everything just feels so much more fluid and games run so much better on switch 2. Also the Nintendo switch 2 pro controller is way better and a must have. The screen on the Nintendo switch 2 imo is very good and it’s so good that I sold my Oled switch. Another great thing about the Nintendo switch 2 is Nintendo actually listened and the cover for the game card slot is very easy to open now and feels so much more premium. More great games will be coming and I’m excited to see what Nintendo brings to the table. Imo Nintendo Switch 2 is worth the upgrade, You don’t need to wait for Oled. So if you’re in the market for a Nintendo switch 2 , I would say go for it. Hope this helps and happy gaming everyone.

Switch Blitz
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome!!! My son loves it! 1 of the best things I could’ve gotten him for Christmas. Although I had to take it back within 2/3 weeks after purchasing because it malfunctioned. They took it back and replaced it with a brand new one. An even swap. Warranty and all transferred over. I will rate this as a 5 star 10 out of 10 rating. Nice size screen. Great graphics. Just wonderful. Love how the games are versatile as far as using the regular switch 1 games for switch 2. Looooove it!!!

Fantastic Bundle — Next‑Gen Fun Right Out of the B
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mario Kart World bundle has been a blast! The console’s 7.9″ vibrant screen and powerful hardware make games look great in handheld and docked modes, and performance is smooth whether you’re racing or exploring other titles. Mario Kart World is a fun, fresh take on the classic racing series with seamless world design and up to 24‑player races that keep every session exciting. The included Joy‑Con 2 controllers feel comfortable, and the overall package delivers excellent value. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a versatile gaming system with a great launch title

Great updated system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE my switch 2. The negative hype is beyond wild when you look at the specs and price. $450 for a console more powerful than a steam deck for virtually the same price. I could finally play games like Pokemon Violet and TotK without terrible load time and glitches. Mario Kart World is… fine. Not my favorite switch 2 game and def not one to show off the full capabilities. DK is much better at that and I’m excited to see the differences in the new games to come. Handheld mode is a true winner. While not as rich of a screen like the OLED switch, def a huge bonus in screen size and smoothness of pixels, which in turn, doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Anyway, if you’ve been teetering, wait for more games if you want, but if replaying some older games with the updates (since if you have a Nintendo subscription they are free) sounds appeasing, pull the trigger. That’s what I’ve been doing and already logged 200+ hours into the console.

What We Wanted But Not Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 is everything the fans asked for. It's more powerful, has more built-in storage, a second usb-c port, and a larger screen. It also includes some things that the fans didn't ask for: 120 HZ refresh rate screen with variable refresh rate, magnetically attached joy-cons, mouse-mode in the joy-cons. Those are nice bonuses for sure and everyone is going to rave about those features, so let's talk about the not so good. A larger screen results in a larger, heavier system. That's fine for a console that sits in a dock on your TV stand. But for something handheld, it causes fatigue just a bit faster than the previous Switch. Nintendo also did nothing to help the ergonomics again, and if you didn't need grips on the last Switch, you might find you do this time. More power and a high refresh rate screen both mean much more battery consumption. So, unfortunately, you're losing a significant amount of battery life in comparison to the most recent Switch - the OLED, and even the outgoing "version 2" LCD Switch has about 30% more battery life. Finally, the new Switch 2 has much more built-in storage, but 256 gb is absolutely not enough in 2025 when other consoles come with 1 or 2 tb and a single game can be 250 gb. Hence, you will likely need to buy a MicroSD card. Unfortunately, you can't use any you had for your original Switch, as the new model requires MicroSD Express, a much faster - yet MUCH more expensive - format. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of hardware, and the power is amazing for a handheld in this price range. Nintendo had a change to knock it out of the park, but part of the shortcomings are inherent to the limits of technology today, and partly bad design decisions. I'll enjoy mine, but if they release a "lite" version that's the size and weight of the original Switch, I will be trading in for that one!

Switch 2 - better than you might think
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long time Playstation owner, I was pleasantly surprised by the Switch 2 - it's got more going for it than I would have thought. My partner and I have had a blast playing Mario Kart World and DK Banaza. Games look great, play great, and the portability factor is a plus. Would definitely recommend it you are looking to play games on the go, or if you want to play with younger family members. Nintendo commitment to quality shines through.

Better than Expected!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Me and my partner got it as a gift for ourselves and have been enjoying it ever since. We're both out and about often so being able to kill time with games on the go or to other people's places with ease. Me personally it's what I was looking for in the first switch: better performance, better screen, and bigger form factor as the og switch was too small for my hands and cramped after half an hour of playtime.

Good unit
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the new size for the Switch and the magnetic Joy Cons. Much easier and user friendly than needing to slide them on and off. The bundle is the way to go if you are a Mario Kart fan. You are saving $30 off the regular price of the game. The graphics are good, but I don't notice much of a difference. Sound is better as well.

Very Good!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart bundle exceeded my expectations! The improved hardware feels noticeably faster with crisp visuals, and Mario Kart loads quickly and runs super smooth. The Joy-Cons have great responsiveness with minimal drift — definitely an upgrade. I love the versatility of docking it to play on my TV or using it handheld. Battery life easily lasts through long sessions. Great bundle, especially with Mario Kart included!

Amazing Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch 2 is not miles but lightyears a head of the switch 1 in terms of overall enjoy ability thanks to a number of changes such as the larger and sharper display, the extremely satisfying snap due to the magnetic catch and release of the joycon 2, and is given tons of storage compared to the switch 1 which allows you even more time to buy the optional expansion (if need be) allows you to enjoy more games at once before needing to delete any content or upgrade with and express micro so card. Those are only a few pros to name along with my ONLY CON about the console, which would be its heavier weight in comparison to the original switch but can be easily forgotten while using in hand held, largely due to the benefits of all the PROS! This console has been extremely enjoyable with family, friends, and especially on the go!

Great Gaming Console for new gamer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have really enjoyed playing with my nintendo switch 2! The screen size and graphics are amazing! As a novice gamer, this is fantastic. I will say that my only complaint is that the console becomes heavy on my hands while I am playing, but overall the experience has been great.

Fun gift!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't going to upgrade because we already have both Switch and Switch OLED, but the games feel much smoother, the design is better (hated old kickstand). Christmas gift was just the excuse to purchase. Remember that your old controllers still work, they just can't physically slide on so you have to charge separately. You also need to get a new case as the size is significantly different. Don't expect old Dock to work, and you should also switch out HDMI cord if still using old one.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start this is my first switch, so i dont have anything to compare it to. As far as first times go, this has blown me away. Performance is great, and the screen looks really good. The battery life has been a bit annoying as I usally run out before I’m done with a gaming session, but it is what it is.

Nintendo Switch 2 - Definitely Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo's newest console, the Switch 2, has delivered in pretty much every way. Not only is it backward compatible with all my original switch software, but Nintendo has finally released a system that is approaching the performance levels of the newest console generation. Also, the Mario Kart World bundle is a great way to save money if you're looking to buy that game as well. Innovative gameplay, improved hardware, and high accessibility for all skill levels- the Nintendo Switch 2 was a worthwhile purchase.

4.5/5! Great console.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great release of the Switch 2! Visuals are stunning and gameplay feels smooth. I’ve enjoyed Nintendo games all my life and playing future Nintendo games with this updated tech has me stoked. Only disappointment console-wise is the battery life. To this, the Switch 2 feels like a catch-up with other consoles and handhelds (namely the Steam Deck). Doesn’t have that feel of exceeding current tech. If you’re a big Nintendo fan, make plans to get it. If you’re not that into Nintendo games but enjoy video games in general, may need to put more thought into purchasing.

Fun for game nights
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a fun little gaming device. I like that you can use it anywhere and it doesn’t have to be on the tv and that it’s multiplayer even when it’s being played on the device screen. Lots of games and fun for everyone.
