AMAZING PURCHASE
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new device to gift to myself and i was hesitant due to pricing and the lack of production of the nintendo switch, one day i was looking through the best buy app and found this deal ans i couldnt let it slide. I remeber that i have the best buy credit card, which help to perform the whole purchase, and went through it all smoothly. Thanks to this I love to bring my switch everywhere and all the time. I was hesitant of which game to buy, and after looking throug the game catalog i decided to get the Donkey Kong Bananza and oh boy, what a game.

Solid Upgrade From Switch 1
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright, spent some good time with the Switch 2, and here's the lowdown: It still feels like a Switch, just a bit bigger and more solid. The 1080p, 120Hz screen is a clear upgrade, making games look sharper and smoother. Those new magnetic Joy-Cons are awesome – super satisfying to attach, and they feel much more secure. Performance-wise, it's definitely got more power. Games run smoother, and everything feels snappier. It's not a powerhouse like other consoles, but it's a huge step up for portable gaming. Should you upgrade? If you have the original Switch, yes, definitely. If you've got an OLED, it's still a really nice upgrade for the performance and new features, but maybe not a total must-have. Basically, it's everything good about the Switch, just... better.

Great System
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid system, battery life is a bit short but with the graphic upgrades it makes sense. The larger size is much better on the hands which I appreciate. Donkey Kong bananza has been my top played game.

Worth-it upgrade + perfect family bundle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for launch weekend and it’s been a home run for our household. The console feels like everything I loved about the original Switch, just faster, sleeker, and more stable. Setup took about 10 minutes, and transferring our profiles and saves was painless. The new screen looks fantastic in handheld—colors pop and outdoor glare is noticeably better—and docked play feels smoother with snappier load times. As for Mario Kart World: instant classic. The track variety is wild, the new mechanics add depth without scaring off younger players, and online races have been rock solid so far. Local multiplayer still shines—four Joy-Cons, a couch, and chaos in the best way. This bundle basically gives you the party game you’ll play for years on day one.

Sturdier, Faster, Still on Probation
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s get one thing straight — I bought the original Switch, enjoyed it for a solid month, and fully intended to return it… but the wife disagreed so we kept it under mild emotional duress. Fast forward to the Switch 2, and this time, I gave it a shot willingly. Here’s the breakdown from someone who returns literally everything: Performance: Noticeably smoother. I booted up a Mario game and didn’t hear the fan scream like it was doing CrossFit. Frame rates? Solid. My kids noticed, which is wild because they didn’t notice when I got new floors. Screen: It’s sharper than the original and easier on the eyes, even if it’s not OLED. Still, looks good enough to get roasted by in-game characters in high clarity. Battery life: Respectable. Won’t power a road trip, but will survive a few Fortnite tantrums before collapsing. Joy-Cons 2.0: They feel sturdier, but I’m still side-eyeing them like they owe me child support. No drift yet… but I’ve been hurt before. Price + Games: The console isn’t cheap, and the game prices? Might put you in a light financial coma. $70 to get stomped by 8-year-olds in Mario Kart feels personal. Final verdict: Did I try to find reasons to return it? Yes. Did I actually return it? No. That’s basically a standing ovation coming from me. If you’ve got the budget and the nostalgia, the Switch 2 is worth it. Just remember to hide it from your kids until you’ve had a chance to play once.

An excellent successor to the Switch
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start with: my thoughts on the Switch 2 are complicated by its price and the rising prices of games in general. $450 - $500 is no small ask for the successor to the perpetually $300 - $350 Switch. I agonized over making the purchase for quite some time. Even now I can't say I'm as 'happy' with it after purchase as the Switch 1...but perhaps that has to do with the fact it feels so much like the Switch 1 at times that I forget it's the Switch 2? That is probably one of the Switch 2's greatest strengths and weaknesses for me. It feels like the Switch, but better in pretty much every way. Which isn't a problem, but the UI is also nearly identical. In some ways it's like I didn't purchase a new console at all, so it lacks that 'new console' feel. But this is hardly some major issue and more a personal hang up, I suppose. The actual device itself is excellent. Everything runs so much smoother than the original, including many games from the original Switch. The sheer backward compatibility is wonderful, as well. After so many generations of Nintendo consoles that lacked any backwards compatibility, the Switch 2 is a breath of fresh air. I've spent about as much time on older games than on the ones I purchased for Switch 2, in fact. Vampire Survivors in particular runs way better without any compatibility updates having happened. The battery life is about as expected. Not amazing on graphically intensive games, but you can squeeze a lot more out of it by playing games that take less power. Also: there's an option you can set to only charge the device to about 85 - 90%, extending the long-term life of the battery considerably. I appreciate that after my launch Switch 1's battery started dying recently. Another pleasant surprise? The new Joy-Cons. I've long loved the split controller concept, starting with the Wii and its nunchuk. I never realized how much arm straight I've had from constantly holding my hands together until then. Unfortunately, the Switch 1 Joy-Cons had a lot of issues - size being one of them, connection problems, drifting, etc. While I haven't had my Switch 2 for long enough to say if the drifting was fixed, I've had zero connection issues with the new Joy-Cons. They're also a much better size for my hand and they even feel weightier and less cheap than the originals. A huge improvement, and if they truly corrected the Joy-Con drift? Then I'll call them just about perfect for me. Uh, can't say much about the mouse controls though, haven't used them much as yet. On the downside, while you do get a decent amount of internal storage (256gb)? If you want to expand that you need SD Express cards specifically. I didn't know this and so the old SD card I used for extra storage on my Switch is useless, which means I would need to spend even more money for it. Now being fair: 256gb is significantly more than the original Switch's 32gb. And Nintendo actually knows how to use compression to get even their largest games down to about 20 gigs in size. So it's not that big of a deal, especially if you don't have a massive library. Just something to keep in mind. I got the bundle that comes with Mario Kart World too, which is a very fun game. I admit I am less into racing games and can only play piecemeal, so I had to purchase a few more games that would keep my attention better. But if you're somebody who'll get really absorbed by a Mario Kart game, this is a really good deal. Overall, I love this thing. It has its downsides, price more than anything else, but what isn't suffering price issues lately? But if you can justify the price (or save up for it), then I highly recommend it. It's a wonderful console that acts as a perfect successor to the original Switch. Just don't break your bank purchasing it, yeah?

A worthy upgrade to an awesome hybrid console
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for one but hadn't been able to find one for a month since launch. All of a sudden on my birthday I got an email from best buy saying they had some so I immediately ordered one. Upon unboxing you could tell they stepped the feel up a notch and the console itself is quite a bit bigger than the OLED and the v1 that I had previously. After setting up and installing my screen protector I discovered that the right joycon had no vertical movement. I took the console to the store and they had me return the whole thing. The experience with the guy was a little rocky at first, he seemed cranky and hesitant to help me. But when I returned with all the parts and pieces his tune had completely shifted and he was pleasant and helpful. Even let me get another screen protector without additional cost. I've now got over 20 hours on my switch 2 and I've gotta say it's great.

Nintendo’s Best Yet!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another amazing system from Nintendo! Their best yet! As for games, I have medium to low expectations for Donkey Kong Bananza but am THRILLED with how vast and amazing it is! The Zelda upgrades are incredible. The system is so much better with the bigger and more beautiful scream. And the controllers are a thousand times better with the magnetic connections. This is a must have game system!

Enjoyable New Console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to hold off on the Switch 2 until some reviews accumulated but, it went on sale just before Christmas and couldn't resist. Nintendo has some strict do's and don't's with their consoles aimed against any unofficial modifications and such. It could brick your system, but I never do mods, so I'm good there. Even if you play with the Switch 2 docked, like me, be sure to get a tempured glass screen protector because the Swtich 2 has a light protective film on the LCD that can scratch very easily. Game play is smooth and and beautiful. No functional issues whatsoever. You will need more storage eventually, and the only compatible SD cards are the NEW Micro SD "Exress" cards. Normal micro SD cards will not be recognized, including the one from your original Switch. These "Express" cards are on the expensive side, so maybe hold off until they come down in price or absolutely need one. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, but these consolest's are just getting too expensive for me. Game purchases will be slow and selective and most likely, only while on discount. Regardless of any slight negatives, every second of use is enjoyable!

Nice Console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This console is so cool! I am a Minecraft lover and was surprised to see how well it runs. It’s a strong game and I think the switch works really well. Even for other games like Mario kart. I enjoy it. I take it to work with me to play on my breaks. I know it’s made for kids mainly but I am 25 and love my switch 2! Graphics are crisp. Sound it good. It’s bigger than the OG switch which is nice.

Pretty Cool
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dont know what i was exspecting in a S2. Maybe I got my expectations a little to high. It looks the same with a bigger screen. Some upgraded parts here and there. Overall it is more powerful from it’s predecessor graphic wise. Battery power is worse. LCD screen quality is worse. I only play docked anyways…. I think nintendo should focus on an actual home console rather than a hybrid unit. Do yourself a favour and get a screen protector. I do have fun with there games though. Just wish this key card and download code in a box thing was not happening. Overall good first party games and experience. Would have been so much happier if the Mario Kart bundle came with the actual game box rather than a download code.

Worth every unemployed penny.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used my OLED every single day, and since buying the Switch 2, I have still used it every single day for almost the last month. I’ve been unemployed since February, not by choice at all, and life has been a bit overwhelming and lonely. The Switch 2 has been so fun, the new Mario Kart has been addicting to get used to all the new maps for the first time in YEARS. I love how big the screen is, and the magnetic joycons are a game changer. The ONLY complaint I have is the battery life, and we knew that was coming so I guess I can’t be too disappointed. I’ve taken on an airplane and it drained over half its battery life in a 3 hour flight, which was a bummer. But it charges fast and I don’t regret the purchase one single bit!

Solid Upgrade to the Original Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very happy with my Nintendo Switch 2 purchase. The console feels faster and smoother than the original Switch, and the improved screen makes a big difference when playing in handheld mode. Games run great, and everything feels more responsive overall. It keeps the same versatility I loved before, but with noticeable upgrades in performance and quality. So far, it has exceeded my expectations and feels like a solid upgrade.

Nintendo Switch 2 - Worth the wait, and the cost
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new console! The Nintendo Switch 2 does not disappoint. It may seem similar to the original on first glance, but the hardware diffences make themselves known. The new screen is larger and has a crisper image. It's not OLED, but I found the quality improvements make that virtually unnoticeable. My games load much faster, and the animations seem to be smoother. It feels more ergonomic, possibly because it's wider and the controllers aren't cutting into the base of your palms as much. The new joy-cons feel built with more quality. They fit more comfortably in your hands, and have less annoying "clicky sounds" when playing than the original. Motion tracking games seem to perform better with them. Finally, the included Mario Cart World game is a blast to play and very visually appealing. My family have played it countless times already and it's our new favorite in the series.

Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fairly new to the modern Nintendo ecosystem as the previous Nintendo console I owned was the GameCube, but so far this system has exceeded my expectations. The fact you can play games at 4K 60 FPS in handheld mode is awesome, especially considering the thinness/weight of the device. It feels like a premium bit of kit.

Great Buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo Switch 2: A Monumental Leap Forward! I've been a dedicated Switch fan since day one, but the Nintendo Switch 2 is more than just an upgrade—it's a complete revolution for hybrid gaming. Nintendo has taken everything that made the original great and polished it to a mirror sheen, delivering an experience that feels truly next-gen. Performance & Graphics: Stunning Clarity The immediate difference is the visual fidelity. The new, larger OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous, making old favorites look brand new and giving launch titles a stunning depth and clarity. Playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at a buttery-smooth 60fps, in true 4K resolution when docked, is an experience I didn't know I was missing. Load times are practically non-existent thanks to the new processor, which keeps the action fast and fluid whether you're docked or on the go. The Joy-Con Pro: Finally Perfected The redesigned "Joy-Con Pro" controllers are a massive improvement. The dreaded drift issue seems to be completely resolved, and the new magnetic locking mechanism feels sturdy and satisfying. I particularly love the improved ergonomic grips and the new haptic feedback, which provides incredibly subtle and realistic sensations—a real game-changer for immersion. Battery Life and Design Battery life has seen a significant boost, easily getting me through long travel days without needing a charge. The console itself retains the brilliant hybrid design, but the new, robust kickstand is a small but critical detail that makes tabletop mode much more stable and enjoyable. Final Verdict The Nintendo Switch 2 is not just a console; it’s an ecosystem perfected. If you were holding out for an upgrade or are looking to jump into the Nintendo world for the first time, this is the console to get. It delivers the magic, power, and portability that gaming deserves. Highly, highly recommended!
