Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a significant upgrade over the original, improved performance for smoother gameplay, faster loading times, and crisp 4K output when docked. Main features include a larger, brighter screen, a more rich design and a better kickstand. Improved Joy-Con controllers with a new magnetic attachment system. However, battery life in handheld mode is comparable to the original model, which a power bank can easily remedy.

Nice upgrade from Switch OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before getting the switch 2 I played most of my games on PS5 Pro, Steam Deck OLED and Switch OLED. Despite the Steam Deck and Switch having OLED screens I found myself quickly playing handheld on the Switch 2. I’m quite sensitive to screen ghosting and other issues but despite the complaints online the Switch 2 screen hasn’t been an issue for me. The larger screen is more important than OLED for me. Playing docked is also nice, something I didn’t do much on the switch, even though I owned a switch since its original launch day. The battery life is okay, but the way the charging limit works is a bit odd with Nintendo changing wording to give a range. With the charging limit enabled my switch shows 81% or 82% fully charged, but if I do a hardware reset it goes to 87% for a few days. Odd, but it’s not been an issue. Unfortunately, I have found Nintendo’s switch 2 games to be underwhelming. Hopefully this will change in the future but even if it dies not I still highly recommend the switch 2. The bigger screen and therefore bigger joy cons are much more comfortable for me and weight isn’t an issue. When Nintendo release an OLED version I might buy one, but don’t regret my purchase at all.

Great successor!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good successor to the switch. The controllers feel more study and attach more securely than on the original. And so far no joy stick drift. The only real cons to a switch seem to have been remedied! After a couple months of moderate use, it holds up extremely well. The graphics are better than the original and so is the speed and battery life. The motion to only charge to 90% is great to extend the battery life. It’s a bigger screen so using it handheld is even nicer. It’s a good size for handheld too; if it were much bigger it would be too big but this is a good balance of portability, weight, and usability. The only con is needing really new, expensive SD cards to expand storage so options are limited and they are pricey. As the price comes down though that should improve.

Great mobile gaming platform
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the updated graphics and screen. Battery life could be better. I like that switch 1 games are compatible and that I was able to transfer over my save files. I love that I can take it anywhere to play.

Nintendo Switch 2 for the win
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s been a total hit in our house! The new graphics and faster load times make everything feel smoother, and the improved battery life is a big plus for road trips. My 5-year-old absolutely loves playing Madden 26 on it — the controls are simple enough for him to pick up, but the gameplay still keeps me entertained too. The flexibility of switching from handheld to docked mode means we can go from playing together on the big screen to taking it on the go in seconds. The build quality feels sturdy, the screen is crisp and bright, and the overall experience is super family-friendly. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, it’s absolutely worth it. The Nintendo Switch 2 delivers the perfect balance of fun, performance, and portability.

My First Nintendo Console Since N64
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was born in 1986 and I grew up playing Nintendo consoles in the 90’s. Super Mario bro 1, 2, 3 on NES were a big deal for me growing up! I played video games from 1990 until 2007, then I stopped playing for well over a decade. It wasn’t until 2019 that I bought an Xbox one and started playing again. Fast forward to today, I own a PS5, an Xbox Series X, and now a Switch 2 that my wife got me for my Birthday. She bought my Mario: Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. She also bought me the Switch 2 pro controller. Since I started playing Zelda yesterday I cannot put it down! This game is an absolute masterpiece! The switch 2 is an amazing console too (even though I keep mixing up the button layout because I’m so used to playing PS5 lol) If I had any gripe at all, it would be Nintendo charging an extra $10 for the welcome tour game. For a multi billion dollar company to not include that with a $450 console is so absurd it almost made me knock a complete star off of my review! I also wish battery life was a tad better, but playing while being plugged in just isn’t a big deal. Also, I mostly been playing in docked mode anyway. If you’re on the fence and never owned a switch 1, I say just go for it! I’m so grateful my wife bought me mine!

confort is key.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up my switch 2 on launch night and have not put it down since I have acquired it. I am in a touring band for work so I spend a lot of time on the road for months at a time. I need something to kill the hours when we drive between gigs. I actually picked up my switch at a different Best Buy location than my home location since the system launched while on tour this summer. I have played my switch one since day one and upgraded to a switch oled when the tears of the kingdom special edition came out. but something about this switch has me much more hooked than the old system. I think the real killer thing about this system compared to the first switch that keeps me coming back is how comfortable it is to play for long sessions. I have large hands and I used to cramp really bad when I would play the first switch for more than 30 minutes. but I can play the switch 2 for hours without any cramping issues. this really has changed the game for me. I also really enjoy having a bigger screen. Yeah it isn't OLED... but that is alright. I'll take the higher refresh rate, higher pixel density, and HDR output over OLED any day. This screen really shines in games such as Breath of the Wild where the upgrade really does improve the gameplay experience. The bump in power has been a welcome change for me. the last couple years of the switch one felt like playing through mud. While games like xenoblade x were a technical marvel and it was quite impressive what people were able to achieve on the old hardware, it is nice to now have a system that can actually handle modern games. Gamecube has been so fun to add to the mix. I got into f zero for the first time on the switch by playing f zero 99, f zero x on the n64 switch online app, and the original f zero on the switch online app. But one thing I kept hearing everybody say is that f zero gx is the best in the series and one of the best racing games of all time. Now I am able to play this and the other few games on offer and it has been really fun to get to experience these games for the first time as I never had a gamecube growing up. I haven't really gotten to test out game chat or anything since the majority of my gaming happens in a vehicle with no internet so I can't speak on it, but I do think it is great... even if it is a bit late... that we have the option to actually have game chat on the switch. I hope that third party support continues because games like Fortnite are great to have as an option for somebody like me who doesn't really get to play other home consoles that often. my only complaint about the system are that the battery life could be a bit better. I have been used to the switch oled which had really excellent battery life. I feel like the switch 2 has about half the battery life of that system. I never really game for long enough for it to truly matter but it was nice only having to charge the old switch every few gaming sessions compared to this system where I have to charge it for every gaming session. also while the upgrade in internal storage is welcome, It really still isn't enough in the current era. also because we have to use the new generation of sd cards, there currently aren't that many available. so I went from having a 1 tb sd in my switch oled plus the 64 gigs of storage to having a total of 500 gigs of storage with internal and sd storage. hopefully card manufacturers come out with more, higher capacity options soon. looking forward to playing my switch 2 for the foreseeable future.

almost perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing machine! I love playing my games on this. Fast loads, good graphics, and the size is perfect. The battery life is pretty low tho. And if you don't have a tv with HDR then the picture might not look the best on the big screen but overall I love this thing!

Nintendo Switch 2 Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot say enough good things about this console. Gaming is unquestionably my biggest pastime, I have the most premium version available of all current major consoles as well as a high-end gaming PC, I’m only throwing that out there so that readers have an idea of my familiarity and experience level on this subject. If I were asked to recommend a gaming platform to someone and was given no information about the person, this is the product I would recommend because it offers so much variety, adaptability, and exclusive features, it’s an experience that cannot be replicated. Nintendo listened to their fans and made a beloved console even better. Out of the dock, the screen is large and looks amazing. I love the new kickstand but it’s also comfortable in the hands despite its impressive size. While it’s docked, you get even better performance. Several Switch titles will receive or have already received Switch 2 upgrades, many of these are free and the one’s that aren’t are very reasonably priced. I think it goes without saying (but I’ll throw it out there anyway) that there are several great titles you can only play on a Nintendo console. I work 12-hour shifts and love having a system that I’m able to bring with me to play on breaks. Having 256 gigs of storage is also nice but if you’re like me and prefer to have lots of games readily available, its very easy to add more space using a microSD Express card. I also love that they included an ethernet port on the dock this time. As someone who knows a bit about costs regarding hardware components, the product that Nintendo is able to offer at this price is an incredible value. My whole reason for giving this review is simply to offer perspective from someone who has spent a lot of time with the current generation of consoles and PC gaming. If the games on this console are ones you think you’d enjoy, I highly recommend the Switch 2.

Big Upgrade, Well Worth It!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big upgrade all around from the Switch 1. Larger screen in 1080p is fantastic and sound is louder and clearer coming from the built in speakers. One of the best improvements is the large 'kickstand' on the back (with full swing mobility), allowing you to place the Switch on non-flat surfaces (your bed!) without it falling over. The Joy-Cons still suck, no getting around that, especially if your playing a game that requires a lot of trigger action. However, you can connect your Switch 1 Pro Controller to the Switch 2, which is great, so you don't have to try and play a FPS with the Joy-Cons. The battery lasts longer, putting in micro-Express SD cards is easier, and disconnecting the Joy-Cons with the new magnetic functionality is nice. In docked mode, having 4K visuals and up to 120fps, is wonderful. Now you don't have to buy a game that runs at 120fps soley for your PS5 or Xbox. Metroid Prime 4 looks stellar in Graphical and Performance mode. Transferring your Switch 1 games and save data is super easy and customizable. Initial set-up was super quick. Highly recommend upgrading your Switch 1 to the 2, or if your new to Nintendo, definitely go with the Switch 2, it will last way longer down the road than the 1.

Fun at a premium
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say that others have not already said? The screen is great, even coming from the OLED version. The console is weighty and feels more premium than the previous iteration. The cartridge slot cover is MUCH better and I no longer think I am going to break it while trying to open it. Playing in 4k on my monitor is great! The only true issue that I am seeing is the battery for some people, and even that has not been an issue for me. Is it a bit higher in price than I would like? Sure. Are the official accessories and peripherals a bit absurdly priced? Ya probably. Are the games a bit much if you buy them new? Absolutely. That all said, where else can you go to get your pokemon fix? Or your mario fix? Nintendo. And if you are going to shell out the cash for it, you might as well enjoy it on a device that makes it look good. All joking aside, I really am enjoying my Switch 2. There are frequent sales on the Nintendo eShop and I have no real complaints.

Switch2
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is hands down the best console Nintendo has ever released. From its sleek design to its unmatched performance, this system delivers an immaculate experience for both casual players and serious gamers alike. One of the most impressive upgrades is the video quality. With vibrant visuals and a crystal-clear display, the Switch 2 offers the best screen Nintendo has ever delivered on a handheld hybrid console. Whether docked or handheld, every game looks stunning and plays buttery smooth. Performance-wise, this system is everything fans hoped for. Faster load times, smoother frame rates, and a stronger battery life make it not just an improvement but a complete evolution of the original Switch. From action-packed shooters to cozy farming sims, every genre shines. Nintendo also nailed it with its enhanced Joy-Con feel, stronger online support, and a refreshed user interface that feels modern and intuitive. It’s clear they listened to the community and brought the best of everything into one console. Simply put, the Nintendo Switch 2 is immaculate. It sets a new standard for what a hybrid gaming system can be and it’s a must-have for any gamer.

Reluctant Buyer, Blown Away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the threat of RAM spiking and the price of electronics likely to skyrocket, I bit the bullet and bought the Nintendo Switch 2. I was trying to avoid purchasing in protest of the price point, but... I'm beyond happy with the Switch 2. I paid nearly $700 for a Steam Deck, which is a similar console, and the Switch 2 is a marvelous step out from both the Deck and the Switch 1 OLED. The library is limited, which is the biggest drawback, but I'm absolutely sure that I'll get many, many hours out of this in the future. It's larger than the Switch 1 and Switch 1 OLED, fitting more comfortably in adult hands. The connection between the joycon and system is MUCH improved, as is the dual charging port. The screen is crisp, giving a great picture and refresh rate, and it pumps out 4K video while docked no problem. The speakers aren't particularly robust, but connect wired (!) or wireless headphones and you're golden. Once this console gets a few more titles, I think it'll be up there with the all time greats. It's everything the Switch 1 should've been, and-- as much as I'm loathe to admit it-- the price-point reflects it. My only complaint is that the battery life isn't fantastic-- I get about ~2.5 hours of playtime on a single charge while running modern software. It'd be nice if it was more like 4-5. Also, the new system requires a different kind of SD card. Be mindful when you purchase if you want extra storage! You can't use your Switch 1 memory card.

Same feel new experience. Switch 2 review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A worthy upgrade to the original success console. While yes some games are lacking for its start line, the back catalog and the mix of free upgrades and paid, make this a good console to prefer if you are thinking of owning a switch and want to future proof. For existing owners of a switch original, wouldn’t be surprised to wait but if your excited like me, making this purchase will be your next obsession as long as you keep your mind in the right perspective. It is a beefed up switch, with some new things and some great things brought into from the oled besides the screen. It’s bigger, it’s feels better (although still recommend a grip) and honestly it’s impressive how much power they stuck into this console for how thin it is. Usually the competition have a heavier and bigger feel to it that makes it hard to take anywhere or fully feel comfortable over time with. They have a better feel but man is the switch 2 more compact and simpler to have around.

Eh, it’s a good purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch 2 is a good system, with its bigger screen and portability. However, it has a major drawback, which is its battery life. I played Madden 26 and on a full battery could not get through an entire game without having to plug it back in. One good thing is that it does have backwards capabilities. Previous gen games work flawlessly with this system and that very helpful considering that the switch 2 game options are so limited right now.

Switch 2 for the win
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new switch is great Pros: Loading times are greatly reduced when playing games. The graphics are much better than the previous console both in handheld mode and on the tv. The joy cons and overall feel of the system is a large improvement. The screen is beautiful and is so much larger. Con The battery life is not good. It’s understandable due to the power of the console but you lose about 1 percent of battery per minute playing a game like Mario kart world. Overall I highly recommend the console and I have enjoyed playing it. I hope they are able to address the battery life with some type of firmware patch in the future but I am not hopeful. If you can get one, you will love it.

The ordering process was easy, and the pickup/shipping was fast and smooth. The console arrived in perfect condition, brand new, and exactly as described. The Nintendo Switch itself is amazing — I love how you can play on the TV or take it on the go. The graphics are nice, the controls feel solid, and there are so many fun games available. It’s perfect whether you want to play alone or with friends and family. Best Buy did a great job with customer service, and I would definitely recommend buying electronics from them. ||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have many consoles but Nintendo is my preferred brand. The switch2 is a definite improvement in many ways over the original switch, but it is far from perfect. Pros- big screen, magnetic joycons, hd output mreasonable hdd space, older software performs far cleaner even without a switch2 specific game release. Cons- batterylife is terrible on dayone as you burn time setting up or transferring data. it gets better once wverything is installed but prepare yourself to keeo wifi off when not needed and use the autobrightness where possible - well worth the cash!
