I love it but my switch 2 dock is extremely loud and sounds like it’s rattling. Very disappointed with how much I paid for it.

good game but no games because all games cost games

I'll start with the positive. The screen makes the original Switch seem like a bootleg. I currently have no Switch 2 games to really compare with besides Fortnite (it's free), but the regular switch games are much more vibrant and clear. There may be 'Switch 2' upgrades for some Switch games, but even without upgrades there are games notorious for poor framerate and other lag issues that perform a lot better on this. Loading times are also greatly improved. Another big plus? The Switch 2 can actually handle its online store. Sound quality is improved as well. However, I have had nothing but connectivity problems with this. Straight out of the box it would not 'see' my wifi (neither the 2.4 or 5.0 bands). Even when holding it 2 feet away (and once out of frustration, tabletopping it on top of the router because why not?) from the router with no obstruction. BUT, it somehow sees my neighbor's wifi. My location is approx. 150 feet from the closest side of their house. So, I dragged a tv near my router, used it docked LAN. Updated everything. I managed to see and connect to my wifi after the update. Life was great for about 2 weeks. Then an update rolled out that required a restart. It has refused to connect to wifi since. It will rare see my wifi. When it does, within 2 seconds of hitting 'Connect', it fails. I have tried hotspotting my phone and even went to my neighbors and tried theirs since it sees theirs with relative ease over mine, and no luck. Factory resets do nothing but delete my games. Tried tutorials involved with changing advanced internet settings, even factory resetting my router and trying to connect it as the first/only device, too. I doubt it's my router, there are plenty of electronics here including the computer I'm typing this on that connect no problem. Regular Switch works just fine on either band. Such a shame. Typing in the error codes on the Nintendo site prompts a suggestion of making sure your router is plugged in and try moving the console closer. Gee wiz, I wish I thought of that (thinks back to placing it on top of the router). Reason for wifi having no connectivity removing 4 stars? Because any flaw that makes (admittedly not all) games completely unplayable and removes features from others is a catastrophic failure in my book.

I got my switch 2 October 19th as a present to myself with pokemon ZA. It worked wonderfully, been great playing some of my older games updated for S2. Fast forward to today, I saw some headlines and youtube vids about third party docks getting bricked so i avoided the current dock update, but today after grocery shopping in my haste to jump back in I accidentally told it to update, and now my dock sends no signal to the tv. Ive contacted nintendo and they are useless offering to just have me send it back, I spoke with support for 40 or so minutes and they just kept telling me to test the hdmi wires, test the power wires, power cycle it five different times. Now they want me to ship it off, its not even a month old. All because they wanted to update the dock, and you can NOT hook it up to the tv directly with a type C to HDMI, At this moment i can not tell anyone to get a switch 2, not for the current price in 2025, not till they stop breaking stuff.

If a game you want is going ti be 80 dollars standalone and you are to buy this console, get bundled. Like. You save 30. . . Get bundled if it has a game you want. I like the game, but that is crazy. Also. I dislike how we still only get 256gb storage.

Basically a better version of the original Switch.
