Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our family has been fans of the original Switch for years, but the Nintendo Switch 2 is a massive leap forward. My kids haven't put it down since we got it! Why my kids love it: The Big Screen: The new 7.9-inch display is stunning. The colors are so much more vibrant, and the 1080p resolution in handheld mode makes their favorite games like Mario Kart World look incredible. Better Performance: Everything runs so much smoother. They’ve noticed that games load faster and there’s almost zero "lag" when things get hectic on screen. Backward Compatibility: This was the biggest win for us—all of our old Switch games work perfectly, and some even look better thanks to the improved hardware. Why I love it (as a parent): Enhanced Parental Controls: The new "Bedtime" notifications and granular play-time limits are lifesavers. It makes ending a gaming session much less of a battle. Built-in Social Features: The new GameChat feature makes it much easier for them to play with their cousins safely, without needing a separate phone or tablet for voice chat. Battery Life: We're getting much better mileage during car trips compared to our old launch-model Switch. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, it’s worth it just for the peace of mind and the smile on the kids' faces. It really is the ultimate family console

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know the price is a bit more but the consle if very nice. Screen is large, bright and grafics are great. Only complaint is the battery life is only 2h or less if intense gaming but i guess with the performance and screen boost thats the traid off.

Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switch 2 is a huge upgrade. Setup was quick, the system feels fast and smooth, and games look sharper with great load times. The controllers feel solid, and switching between docked and handheld is seamless. Battery life is solid for my use, and the UI is clean and responsive. Worth it for anyone who plays often.

Worth The Wait & Excitement
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who is an avid gamer and frequent purchaser of games and consoles. I can honestly say this console is the perfect hybrid and handheld console I could ask for. Im a major Zelda fan so to be able to play “Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom” at a stable resolution and framerate is worth it alone. However, to play all these amazing on a bigger screen and larger console, makes this console worth it. Im finally able to enjoy 3rd party games that I originally want to play on the original switch and oled, now run more stable and be more beautiful is worth the investment. The only thing I hope they are able to fix in the future or with future iterations is the battery life for longer term handheld use, but I invested into a separate charger for the switch 2, that helps relieve that issue. Finally being about to charge from the top or bottom of the console is a god send feature I did not know I needed until now

Pretty nice device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a powerful, well built device. The screen is really nice and bright for an LCD too. Buttons are responsive. The whole system itself feels really slick and sleek in the hands. I mostly use it handheld and there isn't any issues I can find that hinders my gaming. The Switch 2 library (excluding original switch games) is pretty small though at the time of me writing this so I suggest holding off unless you really wanna play the new Donkey Kong or Mario Kart

Better Switch 2 An Upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been waiting for an upgrade to the Nintendo Switch. This console definitely delivered by Nintendo and it’s more powerful than its predecessor! The console itself is bigger than the Switch OLED, the Joy-Con 2’s are bigger and more sturdy when snapped onto the console, and the screen resolution is more clear. The games I’ve had played on my old Switch definitely run more smoothly on the Switch 2. The games made for the console really shows the hardware’s capabilities like 120fps, HDR support, 1440p (even 4K), and enhanced surround sound. Would recommend this to players needing an upgrade for the Nintendo Switch. But to PLEASE keep in mind about the price if they’re adamant.

Good Console, but if you have the funds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console works as intended: a much better performing gaming and portable console with inproved graphics. Might be too early to test the Joycon durability, but still performs well. Internal memory is also has better capacity, even without the SD storage extension. Battery life its among its major downside: most games drain it very fast. Also, the fact that the SD cards that support games is only of a specific type and both very pricey and often not properly available or affordable at higher capacities, it does puta it a step behind its predecessor. Not necessarily worth the bug price tag. Hence, good to have, but only if you have the funds.

Got it on release day ... (adult gamer)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.... and while I am happy to have bought it, I admit that the true benefit of the upgrades are limited to a few games and far less spectacular than I hoped for. Sure, it's still a portable system and processing power relative to battery life are naturally limited. Some improvements (i.e., 4K support) require an external monitor anyway and with that to be plugged in. When on the run, the battery life is okay and not great. Nintendo sure have a hit on their hands, but it's by no means mandatory over the previous OLED version. (The larger screen is nice but makes it less portable and isn't OLED either. I do apprecciate the "true" black of the OLED which the Switch 2 doesn't have.)

Five stars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything we loved about the original — only sharper, faster, and smarter. Nintendo didn’t reinvent its hybrid console; it perfected it. From the moment you power it on, the improvements are obvious. The new 7.9-inch 1080p display is vibrant and smooth, finally bringing the visuals up to modern standards. Whether you’re battling through Zelda: Echoes of Hyrule on the big screen in 4K or relaxing with Animal Crossing in handheld mode, the screen feels crisp and alive. Performance is the other major win. Thanks to the custom Nvidia processor, games load faster and run more consistently, with fewer frame drops even in open-world titles. The upgraded Joy-Cons — now magnetic and slightly larger — feel sturdier and more ergonomic, solving one of the biggest complaints of the original Switch. Battery life isn’t revolutionary, but it’s solid. You’ll get roughly 6 to 8 hours depending on the game. The device also runs cooler, making long handheld sessions far more comfortable. Backward compatibility works seamlessly, so your old library carries forward — and many titles even receive free performance upgrades. Storage has doubled to 256 GB, which still fills up fast, but the microSD Express slot helps balance that. After a week of testing, the Switch 2 feels like a console designed for both nostalgia and the future. It’s powerful enough to handle ambitious games, yet simple enough for casual fun with family or friends. Verdict: The Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t just continue Nintendo’s legacy — it refines it beautifully. It’s the console that proves innovation doesn’t always mean change; sometimes it means perfecting what already works. Score: 9.3 / 10 — A must-buy for new and returning players alike.

Switch 2 is a darn good console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console, only bad thing is the battery life. But over all the preformance is great and the game selection is genuinely peak. Considering it’s the cheapest next gen console out rn I reccomend it!

Excellent next-gen Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a massive upgrade over the original Switch in every way, it's nice to have something that will be able to run modern games on the go. So far games are running at 1080p/60fps, even handheld. The battery life is not as good as the original Switch, but there is no way around it at this time because this additional graphical power requires more battery power. You can increase battery life by doing things like turning down screen brightness or turning off HDR temporarily. It also depends on what kind of games you're running...Switch 1 games and lower-end games take MUCH less battery. Even though the internal storage is much larger than the original, if you have a lot of games you will still want to add a MicroSD Express card.

The vital new switch we needed, but price is bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switch 2 was necessary. The original switch was just too old and outdated with its 2016 tech (based on Wii U hardware).....it is a breath of fresh air to have something that finally just runs far better looking games, can offer you the likes of FF7 Remake and Resident Evil Village that run natively on the hardware and will look amazing and play great. It's a bigger screen, better controllers, a refined experience, and with all the firmware updates we've had to date, pretty much all of the original Switch 1 library is fully compatible now (with very few exceptions left that anyone would care about). Even the beloved NieR: Automata finally is compatible with the latest firmware. That being said, this is by far the most boring new console from Nintendo of all time. There's not much at all that's significantly different from the experience you got on the previous switch. It feels more like Switch Pro than Switch 2. UI looks almost exactly the same, and works the same. And I'm beyond stunned that in 2025, the only two themes Nintendo still gives you are WHITE and BLACK......what is wrong with this company...... Overall, this system is really new and although switch 2's library has grown several pages worth on the eshop.....it's still a very new console and we've yet to see the best of what it can offer. One thing I thought I would hate, but I actually love is the new Micro SD Express cards. Even though they're temporarily rather expensive, they're not unaffordable and the speed is truly that huge gigantic leap in tech you want to see in a console. The speed is like never before on switch! Switch 1's regular micro sd cards (depending on the ones you bought) slowed down your experience greatly and made loading an absolutely chore. Micro SD Express have been a thrill to experience. Most everything runs and loads very fast. That makes a huge difference and truly makes this feel like a new console. Overall.......eh.....I think it's worth getting if you're a huge fan of switch, but the last criticism is the lack of OLED screen. Something tells me Nintendo will eventually make one, but the screen's quality took a step back from the previous switch OLED. But that price will turn off a lot of people. I expected $400 or more in this day and age with Biden inflation still a reality.....but $450 being the minimum price.....ugh.....bad look for Nintendo.

Nintendo got it right…except that battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crisper and bigger screen, smooth play with no lagging, I’m enjoying the Switch 2. My only issue is with battery life…games run smoother but battery life is subpar.

Best purchase is a while.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got my hands on the new console and wow, it's seriously a game-changer. The portability aspect is just incredible; I can take all my favorite games with me anywhere. The graphics are surprisingly sharp for something so compact. It's been so much fun exploring all the different titles available. Definitely a worthwhile investment for any gamer.

Nintendo Switch 2 Review.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console, my kiddos enjoy playing for hours in a week. I highly suggest Mario Cart and Pokemon to keep the kids playing and discovering the open worlds in both games. I would also suggest play online with other players. To see how great they are against other players around the world. Great product and offers a lot for such a small console.

Nice upgrade over switch 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice hardware upgrade with better graphics and faster gameplay. However the battery life is not great and could be better. Joycons are improved with magnetic attach feature which is a nice upgrade as well along with a larger screen. 256gb internal storage is small and probably should have been larger. You will need to buy a SD Micro Express Card to install more games.
