Comparing the experience and the specs to the switch OLED this really is more like upgrading to the switch Pro but if you're coming from these original switch and this is a gigantic upgrade for sure.

Love the new Switch 2. The kids love it and while there aren’t many games available, more are coming soon. So great to see this in full HDR!

Console itself is very solid. No complaints longevity is going to be what i wait for with the console.

Its cool to have the new switch but the real reason anyone bought it was pretty much for mario kart.

I ordered a Nintendo Switch 2 and received a Play-Doh toy instead! Best Buy doesn’t even sell this item making it impossible to exchange. In store pickup was not an option when ordering the Switch 2 from Best Buy.com, only delivery with OnTrac as their courier. I reported this issue to Best Buy’s customer care, they closed my ticket and just told me to contact local law enforcement rather than trying to make it right. After this I will likely never order from BestBuy.com again unless I have the option to pick the item up in store.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a big upgrade. It has a larger, clearer screen and runs games more smoothly. It loads games faster and handles bigger titles better. The controls feel solid, and it still works as both a handheld and a home console. The battery can drain faster with demanding games, but overall it’s a great system and a strong step forward for Nintendo.

The Nintendo Switch 2 feels like exactly what I’ve been hoping for as a user of the original Switch. Its slightly bigger OLED screen hits the sweet spot between being portable and super immersive, making games look sharper and more vibrant than ever. The new magnetic controllers are such a nice touch. I love how they snap on and off smoothly, eliminating the wobbly feel the original Joy-Cons had and giving a really premium experience. Inside, the upgraded processor finally brings the console-level performance that I was looking for when on the go. Everything loads faster, runs smoother, and looks more detailed. Plus, the battery life has improved without sacrificing performance. All in all, the Switch 2’s size, magnetic design, and noticeable boost in power make it a a great upgrade that I find totally worth it. You can see and feel the difference when it is docked.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a significant upgrade over the original, improved performance for smoother gameplay, faster loading times, and crisp 4K output when docked. Main features include a larger, brighter screen, a more rich design and a better kickstand. Improved Joy-Con controllers with a new magnetic attachment system. However, battery life in handheld mode is comparable to the original model, which a power bank can easily remedy.

Before getting the switch 2 I played most of my games on PS5 Pro, Steam Deck OLED and Switch OLED. Despite the Steam Deck and Switch having OLED screens I found myself quickly playing handheld on the Switch 2. I’m quite sensitive to screen ghosting and other issues but despite the complaints online the Switch 2 screen hasn’t been an issue for me. The larger screen is more important than OLED for me. Playing docked is also nice, something I didn’t do much on the switch, even though I owned a switch since its original launch day. The battery life is okay, but the way the charging limit works is a bit odd with Nintendo changing wording to give a range. With the charging limit enabled my switch shows 81% or 82% fully charged, but if I do a hardware reset it goes to 87% for a few days. Odd, but it’s not been an issue. Unfortunately, I have found Nintendo’s switch 2 games to be underwhelming. Hopefully this will change in the future but even if it dies not I still highly recommend the switch 2. The bigger screen and therefore bigger joy cons are much more comfortable for me and weight isn’t an issue. When Nintendo release an OLED version I might buy one, but don’t regret my purchase at all.
