No more lag in switch games. Runs older games beautifully and at better quality. The only downside is the screen isn't OLED but it is a very nice looking screen, definitely an improvementover the previous bas switch. I use it mostly docked to my OLED monitor anyway.

Great buy, provided hours of entertainment. The ability to switch between home console and handheld makes the switch 2 a great option if you need to keep yourself entertained without worrying about internet speed or data limits on the go.

The overall size difference between this Switch 2 VS the original switch and the fact that the joycons attach and detach so many easier really is an improvement to me. The visuals also look so much better than the original and the system speed is quicker.

The switch 2 is a really really great console. Its a fantastic upgrade from the switch 1 and the difference is insane. The battery life is kind of iffy but the performance outweighs that negative. I own a switch lite, switch, switch oled, and switch 2, and i believe that this is the best option you can pick.

Switch 2 was necessary. The original switch was just too old and outdated with its 2016 tech (based on Wii U hardware).....it is a breath of fresh air to have something that finally just runs far better looking games, can offer you the likes of FF7 Remake and Resident Evil Village that run natively on the hardware and will look amazing and play great. It's a bigger screen, better controllers, a refined experience, and with all the firmware updates we've had to date, pretty much all of the original Switch 1 library is fully compatible now (with very few exceptions left that anyone would care about). Even the beloved NieR: Automata finally is compatible with the latest firmware. That being said, this is by far the most boring new console from Nintendo of all time. There's not much at all that's significantly different from the experience you got on the previous switch. It feels more like Switch Pro than Switch 2. UI looks almost exactly the same, and works the same. And I'm beyond stunned that in 2025, the only two themes Nintendo still gives you are WHITE and BLACK......what is wrong with this company...... Overall, this system is really new and although switch 2's library has grown several pages worth on the eshop.....it's still a very new console and we've yet to see the best of what it can offer. One thing I thought I would hate, but I actually love is the new Micro SD Express cards. Even though they're temporarily rather expensive, they're not unaffordable and the speed is truly that huge gigantic leap in tech you want to see in a console. The speed is like never before on switch! Switch 1's regular micro sd cards (depending on the ones you bought) slowed down your experience greatly and made loading an absolutely chore. Micro SD Express have been a thrill to experience. Most everything runs and loads very fast. That makes a huge difference and truly makes this feel like a new console. Overall.......eh.....I think it's worth getting if you're a huge fan of switch, but the last criticism is the lack of OLED screen. Something tells me Nintendo will eventually make one, but the screen's quality took a step back from the previous switch OLED. But that price will turn off a lot of people. I expected $400 or more in this day and age with Biden inflation still a reality.....but $450 being the minimum price.....ugh.....bad look for Nintendo.

Honestly fantastic. A great, sleek system that’s a portable powerhouse and courtesy of Nintendo Magic is a console powerhouse too. Mario Kart World is incredible to play, and the NS2 has breathed extreme life into recent Legend of Zelda and Pokemon titles. New joycons feel excellent in hand.

It is great. Newer tech inside the switch 2 helps with performance. Old games run relatively better. I'm excited for the new games coming out. Hopefully this system will last a while as the original.

This system is everything the switch was but way better. Much larger in size, much easier to remove joy-cons, and full backwards compatibility. A must have if you're a gamer and on the go. I travel a lot so taking a PS5 or the like isn't ideal... so my switch is always with me. Can't wait for all the new games Nintendo will bring our way.

Im loving it! I love playing my games for the first time in 4k! finally! Yeah baby! Hells yeah! The joy cons have been great to! I personally haven't really seen drift thing. But the way the feel in my hand is way more well it's like to legit to quit. Compared to old joy cons. These just seem more natural. I love the way they go into switch when it's already on doc. I love how the switch 2 added a function that doesn't let it charge past a certain point because that helps extend battery life. I also kinda dig the fast drain of battery because if you have back pain problems you shouldn't game that long of a session at once. So yeah I kinda dig it. However just like the original switch it is disappointing that the joy cons can't be charged while separated that its the same so super mega disappoinment after all these waiting for next Nintendo system it still can't be charged unless you connect them that's unfathomably unimaginably extremely profundly stupid beyond compare. When you put them onto the little black accessorie on that at very least should be able to charge the joy cons. I have also felt massive heat on the switch 2 as in it dose get extremely hot so not only is it disappointing that Nintendo didn't find a way to help reduce or stop that from happening but it sucks beyond compare it's a shame. Hopefully they will do something about that for the next Nintendo game console even if it's a switch 2 OLED. Or switch 2 pro. Personaly I'm disappointed in the name I think they should of called it the galaxy switch or all star jarasic galaxy switch something like that even super mega switch or instead of using switch word say Nintendo and my ideas of name instead of 2 or called ... Supreme or switch srepeame was great to me. I hate how it has to be on doc to get 4k. I think 4k should of been standard. I love how you can set the switch 2 to stay on for... So it will not time out I think the original switch should of had that it's stupid beyond compare it didn't.

Fantastic console, much more comfortable to use than the original Switch. Great screen and much better Joycons and screen. Only gripe is it could have better battery life but I don't use it enough personally out and about to have that be as big of a problem for me

The switch 2 is definitely an upgrade, it has vibrant colors, a noticable preformance boost, and an insane leap in speaker quality. If you play exclusively nintendo games, and have no desire to reach out into a ps5 or pc territory this is worthy piece of hardware, thag being said if you play on pc, ps5 or xbox the preformance can be lack luster. Its a great handheld but a underwhelming console, especially for those of us who keep it docked. Personally i enjoy it and dont regret my purchase, but this console upgrade isn’t worth it for the hardware/specs you’re getting.

Great system upgrade from original Switch. The screen quality is noticeably better than first gen and appreciably larger. Old Switch games seem to get a bit of improvement and play very smoothly which is a nice plus. Very easy data transfer between NS and NS2, as well. 10/10

The Switch 2 switched my perspective for the future by building on everything the original Switch did right while finally pushing past its limitations. The first Switch was honestly a game-changer—being able to play full console games on the go was huge, and it brought some of the best gaming experiences of the last decade. But it always felt like it was reaching its limit, with occasional performance dips, long load times, and hardware that couldn’t quite keep up with more demanding titles. The Switch 2 keeps that same magic but adds the power and polish the original was missing. Games run smoother, look better, and the whole system feels more responsive and future-ready. It doesn’t just continue what the Switch started—it levels it up in a way that makes me excited for where gaming is headed.

The Switch 2 is a remarkable evolution of hybrid gaming. The upgraded performance delivers seamless gameplay, the enhanced display makes every title visually striking. The new haptics and refined ergonomics create a more immersive, comfortable experience than ever before. A true benchmark in flexible, player-centred console design.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is everything we loved about the original — only sharper, faster, and smarter. Nintendo didn’t reinvent its hybrid console; it perfected it. From the moment you power it on, the improvements are obvious. The new 7.9-inch 1080p display is vibrant and smooth, finally bringing the visuals up to modern standards. Whether you’re battling through Zelda: Echoes of Hyrule on the big screen in 4K or relaxing with Animal Crossing in handheld mode, the screen feels crisp and alive. Performance is the other major win. Thanks to the custom Nvidia processor, games load faster and run more consistently, with fewer frame drops even in open-world titles. The upgraded Joy-Cons — now magnetic and slightly larger — feel sturdier and more ergonomic, solving one of the biggest complaints of the original Switch. Battery life isn’t revolutionary, but it’s solid. You’ll get roughly 6 to 8 hours depending on the game. The device also runs cooler, making long handheld sessions far more comfortable. Backward compatibility works seamlessly, so your old library carries forward — and many titles even receive free performance upgrades. Storage has doubled to 256 GB, which still fills up fast, but the microSD Express slot helps balance that. After a week of testing, the Switch 2 feels like a console designed for both nostalgia and the future. It’s powerful enough to handle ambitious games, yet simple enough for casual fun with family or friends. Verdict: The Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t just continue Nintendo’s legacy — it refines it beautifully. It’s the console that proves innovation doesn’t always mean change; sometimes it means perfecting what already works. Score: 9.3 / 10 — A must-buy for new and returning players alike.

This is a great follow-up to the original Switch. Hand-held mode is very comfortable and runs great. The laeger size of the console helps with long playtimes. It’ll be great to see what other games come in the future, but it’s off to a great start!

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a fantastic upgrade that keeps everything we loved about the original while making it better in every way. The 1080p/120 Hz display looks amazing, the redesigned Joy-Cons feel solid, and the new NVIDIA chip delivers smoother, more powerful gameplay—even with ray tracing. Docked, it pushes 4K at 60 Hz, and features like backward compatibility and GameChat make it more versatile than ever. It’s already Nintendo’s fastest-selling console for a reason: the Switch 2 is simply the best hybrid gaming system you can buy right now.

It's the Switch 1. Just better. Call it a Switch Pro. Just don't go rushing to buy one. There's not much reason to yet. It's really really good. But after they release some games for it. Then consider one. Maybe after pokemon, and metroid prime 4 it'll be a little more viable. Mario Kart Tour rocks but it's REALLY not worth buying the console alone for. (That's what I did) but I played it non-stop for 2 days and accomplished everything i wanted to in it. Needs more content. So really, seriously. Don't rush UNLESS! You play switch 1 games a lot and want performance. It absolutely crushes it when it comes to playing switch 1 games BETTER. Like Animal crossing....omg. Zelda BOTW and TOTK. Absolute monster better. Pokemon is actually playable now etc. So if those are pros, go for it!

Coming from a Switch OLED, I am super happy with the new console. The upgraded graphics are great, and the bigger screen size is extremely welcomed. My only small gripe is that it’s uncomfortable to hold after an hour, but when that happens it’s off to docked mode!
