In almost every tangible way, this is a major improvement over the Switch 1. The controls feel significantly more premium and the overall feel of the unit + OS is slick. I can't say that I think the C button is necessary as a dedicated chat button and I feel like it would've been better suited to be some new type of "Nintendo gimmick". The launch library is incredibly lackluster, but from a hardware point of view, I think this will eventually be made up with new, quality exclusives. If you've never owned a Switch, this is the place to start - not one of the older units. If you already own a Switch 1 and don't have the money yet, you'll be completely fine holding out until more games come out or a refined unit is released down the line.

As always, Nintendo products are easy to use out of the box. Easy transfer of data from a previous Switch system. Nintendo online has access to classic Nintendo games from past systems too.
