Beware if shipping to home!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered a Nintendo Switch 2 and received a Play-Doh toy instead! Best Buy doesn’t even sell this item making it impossible to exchange. In store pickup was not an option when ordering the Switch 2 from Best Buy.com, only delivery with OnTrac as their courier. I reported this issue to Best Buy’s customer care, they closed my ticket and just told me to contact local law enforcement rather than trying to make it right. After this I will likely never order from BestBuy.com again unless I have the option to pick the item up in store.

Nintendo Switch 2 review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works and I already owned a lot of games for the first Nintendo Switch. It has a wide screen so getting to play it like a handheld is fun. Only problem is it is a bit heavy. I prefer the click in controllers over the slide function for the First Nintendo Switch. I think that it will help with the Switch's longevity. And the instructions on how to use it were clear and easy to understand.

Battery life is the only con
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Huge improvement in screen quality since the original Switch. Battery life is not as long lasting as the previous gen, but I assume this is due in part to the improved graphics/computing power. Internal storage (256GB) is limited if you have a lot of digital downloads but you can always upgrade storage easily. Overall, feels well-built and runs great.

Full time students dream!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 has become the perfect companion for my life as a part‑time student and full‑time worker. I’m constantly juggling assignments, shifts, and everything in between, and this thing fits into my schedule better than any other device I own. The instant‑on, quick sessions, and portability make it ridiculously easy to squeeze in a little gaming during breaks or wind down after a long day. What really surprised me is how good it feels to play something like Pokopia on it. The brighter screen, smoother performance, and improved controls make the game feel alive in a way the original Switch never quite managed. I genuinely look forward to those small pockets of free time because the Switch 2 turns them into something relaxing and fun. For anyone balancing school, work, and life, this console just makes sense — and honestly, I love it more every day I use it.

Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a big upgrade. It has a larger, clearer screen and runs games more smoothly. It loads games faster and handles bigger titles better. The controls feel solid, and it still works as both a handheld and a home console. The battery can drain faster with demanding games, but overall it’s a great system and a strong step forward for Nintendo.

Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 represents a significant step forward in Nintendo’s hybrid console lineup, refining the formula that made the original so successful while introducing meaningful upgrades that appeal to both casual and dedicated gamers. At its core, the system maintains the hybrid design that allows seamless transition between handheld and docked play, but the improvements in performance, display quality, and overall build make it feel like a true next-generation experience rather than just a minor revision. One of the most noticeable enhancements is the upgraded display. The Switch 2 features a larger, higher-resolution screen that delivers sharper visuals, more vibrant colors, and improved brightness. Whether playing at home or on the go, the visual clarity stands out immediately, making games feel more immersive and polished. In handheld mode, the improved ergonomics and sturdier construction provide a more comfortable and durable feel, addressing some of the concerns users had with the original device. Performance is another area where the Switch 2 excels. With more powerful internal hardware, games run smoother and load faster, and developers now have greater flexibility to create more detailed and complex worlds. This boost is especially noticeable in newer titles that take full advantage of the upgraded processing power. Frame rates are more stable, and graphical fidelity is noticeably improved, bringing the console closer to competing systems while still maintaining Nintendo’s unique style and charm. Battery life has also seen improvement, which is essential for a portable device. Players can enjoy longer gaming sessions without needing to recharge as frequently, making it more practical for travel or extended use away from home. Additionally, the system introduces refinements to its Joy-Con controllers, including better connectivity and reduced input issues, which enhances the overall gameplay experience. Another strong point of the Switch 2 is its continued support for a diverse and engaging game library. Nintendo’s first-party titles remain a major highlight, offering high-quality experiences that are often exclusive to the platform. The console also benefits from expanded third-party support, thanks to its improved hardware capabilities, resulting in a broader range of available games across multiple genres. However, the system is not without its drawbacks. While the performance improvements are substantial, it still may not fully match the raw power of other modern consoles, which could limit certain high-end graphical experiences. Additionally, depending on pricing and availability, some players may find it difficult to justify upgrading if they already own a previous version of the Switch. Overall, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a well-rounded and thoughtfully improved console that builds on the strengths of its predecessor while addressing many of its limitations. It offers a balanced combination of portability, performance, and versatility, making it an appealing choice for a wide range of players. Whether you are a longtime Nintendo fan or someone looking for a flexible gaming system, the Switch 2 delivers a modern gaming experience that is both enjoyable and practical.

Its worth the Switch :)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a switch 1 and needed an upgrade, and switch 2 was worth the purchase. The processor delivers clean, consistent frames -- no more random lag or frame drops. This switch has a larger screen, which makes it more accessible to me, so I can see much more! It's still portable, but it is more of a handful. Overall, I have no regrets with switching over :) I recommend the plunge!

Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 is a significant upgrade over the original, improved performance for smoother gameplay, faster loading times, and crisp 4K output when docked. Main features include a larger, brighter screen, a more rich design and a better kickstand. Improved Joy-Con controllers with a new magnetic attachment system. However, battery life in handheld mode is comparable to the original model, which a power bank can easily remedy.

Great Upgrade from the Original Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 feels like exactly what I’ve been hoping for as a user of the original Switch. Its slightly bigger OLED screen hits the sweet spot between being portable and super immersive, making games look sharper and more vibrant than ever. The new magnetic controllers are such a nice touch. I love how they snap on and off smoothly, eliminating the wobbly feel the original Joy-Cons had and giving a really premium experience. Inside, the upgraded processor finally brings the console-level performance that I was looking for when on the go. Everything loads faster, runs smoother, and looks more detailed. Plus, the battery life has improved without sacrificing performance. All in all, the Switch 2’s size, magnetic design, and noticeable boost in power make it a a great upgrade that I find totally worth it. You can see and feel the difference when it is docked.

Personal new favorite handheld!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never was able to get the full Switch 1 experience, cuz I opted for the Switch Lite (3 of 'em) due to my preference to handheld consoles when it came to Nintendo. But now that the Switch 2 is here, and I was gonna wait on a potential Lite version. I just decided to pick this up with a few games, and I finally get what all the hype of a hybrid console was about! Being able to Switch from handheld mode to TV mode with just the dock. Amazing! And while the Switch 2's 1st party launch line-up isn't necessarily huge, Donkey Kong Bananza's pretty dang good. Haven't played much of Mario Kart World, and we got Splatoon Raiders dropping in a few months. Got plenty to look forward to & now I may consider Switch 2 versions over PS5, just for the portability aspect. Only 2 downsides tho. First, is while I think the size is perfect. Depending on the game controls, like DK Bananza where I was practically spamming the item sonar on R (R1 on PS5), it can feel a bit bulky or awkward at times. But otherwise, pretty solid console! 2nd is the battery, tho this is on a game-per-game basis. Mario Kart World drains the battery SUPER fast! While Donkey Kong Bananza doesn't seem to drain it nearly as fast. 3+ hours on a full battery with DK. Obviously stuff like 3rd party titles that are usually found on other platforms, won't nearly have as much of an impact on the battery as the 1st party Nintendo exclusives. But yeah, very satisfied overall!

Best purchase of 2026
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 was absolutely worth the upgrade. Nintendo took everything that made the original Switch great and improved it in almost every way. The graphics are noticeably sharper, games load much faster, and the overall performance feels smooth whether playing handheld or docked. The bigger display makes games look amazing, and the upgraded Joy-Cons feel more solid and responsive compared to the original version. I also love that it still keeps the hybrid design, so I can switch between TV gaming and handheld mode anytime. One of the best parts is the backwards compatibility, since I can still play most of my original Switch games while enjoying enhanced performance on newer titles. The game library is already looking strong, and upcoming releases make the console feel future-proof. Battery life could be better during demanding games, and the price is definitely higher than the original Switch, but overall the improvements justify it for me. If you’re a Nintendo fan or someone who plays regularly, the Switch 2 feels like a major upgrade and one of the best handheld gaming systems available right now.

The graphics are noticeably better, games run smoother, and it feels more premium overall. I love being able to switch between handheld and docked so easily. The Perfect Evolution of a Gaming Icon
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch 2 feels like the evolution fans were waiting for. It keeps the hybrid concept that made the original Switch iconic, but upgrades almost everything — better performance, improved graphics, faster loading times, and a more premium design. The larger display and redesigned Joy-Cons make handheld gaming feel smoother and more comfortable, while docked mode finally delivers a more modern visual experience on TV. Games run more stable, look sharper, and the overall system feels faster and more refined. What makes the Switch 2 special is that Nintendo didn’t lose its identity chasing raw power. It still focuses on fun, creativity, and accessibility, but now with hardware that finally feels ready for the future. The Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t a revolution — it’s a polished, smarter, and much stronger version of one of the best consoles ever

Absolutely Mind-Blowing. The Upgrade of a Dream!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been a lifelong Nintendo fan, but the Switch 2 is on a completely different level. I finally got my hands on one, and honestly? It feels like a dream come true. The first thing that hit me was the performance boost. Seeing titles like The Legend of Zelda and Skyrim running with this kind of clarity and smoothness is a total game-changer. Everything feels snappy, the colors on the screen are incredibly vibrant, and the build quality feels premium and solid in my hands. I was looking for that "next-gen" spark, and this console absolutely nails it. Whether I’m playing in handheld mode on the couch or docked on the big screen, the experience is flawless. It’s rare to buy something and feel 100% satisfied with every penny spent, but I am beyond happy with this purchase. If you’re on the fence, don't be. This is the ultimate way to play. More than happy, I’m genuinely excited to dive back into my library every single day!

Awesome
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch 2 I received has been a great experience. I'm a casual gamer so the switch 2 something you can just turn on and play at anytime is perfect. My only gripe I have is the battery isn't the best but that's ok. I would highly recommend this if you don't have a switch one and if you have the money.

Nintendo Switch 2
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros * Big performance upgrade (4K docked, smoother gameplay) * Larger, sharper 120Hz display * Backward compatibility with Switch games * Improved storage and modern features * Unique hybrid design still unmatched Cons * Still less powerful than competing consoles * LCD instead of OLED * Battery life could be better * Higher price point Final Verdict The Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t reinvent the wheel—but it doesn’t need to. It’s a smarter, more powerful version of a proven idea. If you loved the original Switch, this is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Rating: 8.5/10

It's worth it if you can afford it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the original Switch V1, I never bought the V2 or the OLED model. I saw reviews online saying the upgrade wasn't worth it because it's the same thing just a bigger screen and other stuff. Let me tell you, it's a beautiful system. The bigger screen looks gorgeous (keep in mind I never owned the OLED version of the Switch). The games run faster and smoother, I like how the eshop is faster. The Joycons feel better (I prefer a third party grip for the switch shout-out satisfye) but definitely not comfortable for long sessions. I like the dock and the Internet goes way faster when you're downloading something while having the Ethernet cable connected to the dock. I have future proofed myself before the price for the switch 2 goes up and until exclusives for the switch 2 come out. Transferring my existing Nintendo account was easy and smooth but keep in mind if you have a lot of digital games, you may need to buy an express SD card. Do yourself a favor, research playthroughs, breakdowns, accessories and if this in with in your budget before you buy. I don't regret my purchase. The Best Buy experience was great by ordering online and picking it up in store. So kudos the the BB team.

Smooth gameplay and great upgrade for everyday gam
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Nintendo Switch 2 for about a week now, and I’m honestly impressed with how much smoother everything feels compared to older consoles. Games load faster and run without lag, even during longer sessions. I mostly play Mario Kart and Zelda, and both look better and feel more responsive on this system. The graphics are sharper, and the colors really stand out, especially in handheld mode. Switching between handheld and TV mode is still super easy, which is one of my favorite things about it. The controls feel solid and responsive, and I haven’t had any issues with performance so far. It’s been great for both quick play sessions and longer gaming time. The only downside is that the price is a bit high, and the battery can drain faster when playing more demanding games. Overall, I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable gaming system that works both at home and on the go. It’s a great upgrade and worth it if you play regularly.
