The Switch 2 system is definitely an upgrade to the original Switch. I bought this for my wife as this is her daily stress reliever. The only main issue that I dislike is the fact that they have since released games that are only playable on the Switch 2. It's a little frustrating but at least the actual device itself is a decent upgrade. If you are on the fence, I'd say go ahead and pull the trigger.

I know people love to hate this console but I absolutely love it. So far i have played all the way through Hogwarts and have been playing a lot of BOTW on it. Both game have been greatly improved. The load times alone make it worth it. Love the companion app on my phone. I look forward to what they do with that and other games. If you loved the original switch then you will love this one also. Definitely worrh the price. Don’t listen to the haters.

So yes I have seen SOME improvement in how my games run in the few weeks I've used it, although cult of the lamb still crashes. However, what I want to make others aware of is some of these "improvements" require additional purchases. When you go into the e-shop, you will see that some switch1 games now offer a "switch2 upgrade addon" of some kind, or a switch2 version of the game that costs more. Often times these "addons" claim to improve the framerate and performance of games. So, it seems implied your switch2 is not running some games at its full potential unless you also biy these addons. I would say only upgrade if there's switch2 exclusive games you desperately want, or if your switch1 is on its last legs.

Beautiful upgrade from the OG Switch! Absolutely love the bigger screen for handheld mode though it’s taken some getting used to. Graphics overall are crisp and solid, games run exceptionally well, a wonderful birthday gift to myself for sure! :-D

Controllers are way better. Screen looks great. Battery life could be a bit better. Could have used more storage

Love the switch 2! You can definetly feel a difference in performance from the original. Only complaint is the battery life, but that was expected on launch. As long as you keep it plugged in while playing, the battery should last a good long while.

I have a Gaming PC, PS5 and Xbox. The Nintendo Switch 2 is amazing with what it can accomplish in such a small package. It is great to be able to dock it and use on your TV in 4k but also have the versatility of undocking it and using it on your couch or on the go.

My son already owned the Nintendo Switch OLED, so I wasn’t sure how much of a difference the Nintendo Switch 2 would make. After using it, my son has been extremely happy with the upgrade. The improved performance, faster loading times, and smoother gameplay are noticeable right away, and his favorite games feel even better to play. The larger screen and enhanced graphics make games look fantastic, while the overall system feels more responsive and powerful. He was excited to jump back into games he already owned and experience them with the upgraded hardware. While the OLED was already an excellent console, the Switch 2 feels like a meaningful step forward and has definitely been worth the upgrade.

[Employee of bestbuy] As a nintendo fan that ignored them since the wii due to poor outdated graphics i can honestly say this is fire!. Finally the graphics are good enough for me to enjoy gaming on a nintendo console again.. and with switch online i can game online with friends and enjoy classics from snes, n64 etc.. great hybrid console!

I had a Switch OLED that I rarely used, but I really wanted to play Pokopia, so after sitting on it for a while I traded up. i can say with certainty that I have used to Switch 2 more in the past month of owning it than I did the entire 2-3 years I had the OLED. The overall experience of using the console is better, from the screen size to the way it fits in my hand. I primarily use it in handheld mode while sitting on the couch or laying in bed, but also use it docked on one of my monitors. One of the only downsides is that I can't have audio playing in the background. I wish I could play my game and listen to an audiobook or music through the same headphones, especially while traveling.

Love the System we play it as a family! I have my titles I play as 30 year old that I like to take and go whenever I’m in the car! And my 3 year old plays kid games that he also loves it’s a good console!

I’m really enjoying the bigger screen and better Joycons with the switch 2. It’s a great console just wish battery life was better.

Better than the switch 1 in form factor. I love how it feels easier to hold being lighter while also having a bigger screen. Works well, does what I expected it to.
