I purchased two nintendo switches, one for myself and one for my nephew's birthday. It is a great system and I highly recommend getting one.

My fiance loves her Switch. She uses it nearly every day. We've had no issues with it.

Just what the grandkids wanted for Christmas and we didn't know it. Lol

When I went to go get a Nintendo switch that was the last one they had in stock the box was damaged but it seems to work fine sometimes I've noticed motion controls are a little bit off but not sure why. Other than that no complaints.

I bought the item a few days ago, but I returned it. I changed my mind keeping the item. The games don't appeal to me. If the screen was bigger, they had more mature first party games, and a more powerful system, it would be excellent.

Pros: 1. The battery backup is awesome, I am getting around 6 hours of playtime with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as has been advertised for version 2. 2. Very superior portability, playing while sleeping in your bed is a luxury I did not expect, can also carry to friends place and the joy con controllers are sufficient for 2 players. 3. Very easy to connect to your tv or monitor, though I have been taking advantage of the big screen in the handheld mode. 4. Motion controls are super responsive and works as intended and advertised. Cons: 1. No support for bluetooth headphones, you either need a bluetooth adapter purchased separately, or use your wired headphones, major downside for something which is designed to be portable. 2. The games are kind of expensive, but you would find sufficient free titles in different genres. Also, a lot of games have free demos that you can download and try before purchasing. 3. Some people might have a problem with the storage, but memory cards solve that easily (additional purchase).

Wasn’t sure about buying one since there were only a few games I was interested in, but don’t regret it. Brilliant console, and the ability to take it around is underrated until you try it. Also, the list of great games is expanding - I’ve expanded my list and for the hours I’ve put it, alone and with friends, it’s well worth it. The only downside so far is getting extra controllers, cheap ones do the trick but do break, and the better ones are pricey.

Great console. Sure, it's not quite as powerful as a Playstation or XBox, but for what it's meant for, it does great. Before I got it I never thought I would ever take it out of its dock and strictly play through the television. Lo and behold, I rarely have it in the dock for anything other than charging. I do have a small amount of buyer's remorse, as I can't think of any reason I would buy a game for the Switch if it is also available for Playstation. As an adult and the only gamer in the house, there aren't many Switch exclusives that catch my interest. Breath of the Wild is the only game I have at the moment and I'm having a hard time finding any other games I wouldn't rather play on a more powerful machine. That being said, Nintendo's IP is the real draw for the Switch, in my opinion. If not for Zelda, I wouldn't have even thought about getting the console. What I like: - Its duality as a traditional and portable console in one small package - mini SD expandable memory. I haven't needed it yet, but I can see myself losing the tiny game cartridges so I will likely opt for downloading games if I expand my library - Cartridges instead of discs allow for much quicker loading times. - Decent battery life compared to DS and Gameboy systems, especially considering the software it's running What I don't care for: - Not a wide variety of exclusive software for more mature gamers - The scale of the controllers. I'm sure it's fine for children, but adults will definitely want to splurge for the Pro Controller. - The design of the dock. It fully encompasses the console when inserted and has nothing to protect the fragile plastic screen from scratching. I can see Nintendo redesigning this aspect at some point, much like they changed the original NES from inserting a cartridge in a covered port to top loading.

I cannot recommend the Switch enough! Other game systems have grown stale to me as their formulaic game releases had me feeling like I was playing the same game over and over. I finally took the dive and bought the Switch. It may not be as powerful as other systems but its portability is a huge asset. Definitely the best Nintendo system I have owned in a long time and it has some of the best first party games for its abundant amount of characters. It is the perfect platform for indie titles too which they have a lot of. This new model has increased battery life which is a big plus if you intend to be on the go with it often. Transitioning between TV to handheld mode is seamless. Do not hesitate to buy if you are a fan of Nintendo and looking for a different gaming experience!
