2 Switches Twice the Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Switch and was mainly purchased to be able to network (in home) some of the multiplayer Nintendo games. I wasn’t sure how well this would work with Nintendo accounts but for the most part it’s been pretty seamless getting everything to play nicely together. Really like the Nintendo platform overall especially with having a young person in the house. Lots of kid game choices compared to other systems. The only drawback to the Switch is the on-going issues with “joy-con creep” but with a Pro Controller I don’t have to worry about it.

The best console IMO Nintendo has ever produced!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who has had every just about every Nintendo home console since the NES, Nintendo has hit it out of the park with this one! To be able to design a console that hits the sweet spot between home and portable at a premium experience is nothing short of impressive. With our increasingly mobile on the go lifestyle, this console feels built for the modern age and the immediate future. With the amount of quality first party titles along with quality third party and indie titles, anyone can and will find a game that they will enjoy regardless if they are a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer. The NES and SNES virtual consoles are the icing on the cake and I'm sure Nintendo 64, GameCube and Wii titles will be coming in the following years. If you are someone that has been thinking about getting this console and hasn't pulled the trigger, just go for it. You won't be disappointed especially with this upgraded model with a better processor, longer battery, and improved display!

The most versatile console, and great games!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Nintendo Switch, "upgrading" to the HAC-01-01. The Switch is not the most powerful console - the Xbox and PlayStation are graphical powerhouses in comparison. The Switch is, however, the most *versatile* console. What makes the Switch great in my opinion? Pros - Nintendo games + third party and *tons* of Indie titles - Ability to play handheld instead of on TV - Ability to pause the game by putting the console to sleep and then pick right up where you left off later without missing a beat Cons - Both Xbox & PlayStation have better graphics and framerates - Games are typically more expensive on Switch and sales on first party Nintendo games are rare in comparison - The Switch eShop is a bit of a mess and tough to sort through Playing games on Xbox in 4k is great, but what if someone else wants to use the TV? Not a problem for some folks, but in some households the Switch is a lifesaver, letting the kids, roommate, or Significant Other use the TV while you play in handheld, which the Switch does seamlessly; just pick it up out of dock and resume play. Also, for me, the games were a big attraction. I'm not into first Person Shooters or the most detailed racing games - which both look and run much better on the TV-bound consoles and PC. Adventure games and platformers shine on the Switch, Zelda-Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey being two prime first party examples that released in the Switch's first year (personally, I regard Breath of The Wild as the greatest game I have ever played). There are honestly far too many games I find interesting on Switch for me to ever run out of games to play - I already have quite the backlog, and many of them I got on the eShop on sale for very little money. Would I buy the Switch again? Why yes, I already have.

The Switch is one of my greatest purchases
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd version, which has extended battery life. I've really been noticing the difference. The Switch itself is amazing. I love the game selection, and being able to take the console on the go, play in bed, but also still play as a normal console on my tv. The Switch especially shines when hosting guests. The joy cons are perfect for games. I've also played with random people in the airport and it's just been an awesome experience owning the Switch.

Best console ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, I'm not really much of a gamer but Nintendo really knocked it out of the park with this console. I don't think I'll get over how cool it is to be able to play it as a handheld and then slide it into the dock and continue playing on the TV in an almost instant transition. The console itself just feels like it's high quality, too, like an actual iPad. I was on the fence about getting the Switch because of the price, but it's so worth it. I can't stop playing it.

Great, could have been better
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wish the Switch was a little more powerful or slightly less expensive considering it's price vs performance. It's great to have such a flexible gaming device that the kids love. The touch screen helps with messages and interacting with certain games or apps. Battery life is respectable. The Joy Con reliability could be better. Within a week one kept popping out. We have 2 switches and 6 Joy Cons and a different one already has stick drift. Nintendo is full of people with great ideas but sometimes the management folk ruin what could be some pretty incredible stuff. The positives are that the kids love playing on them. Minecraft runs extremely well on it, and of course the 1st party Nintendo games run well too. The profile management, controller assignment, and online services are close to an absolute mess that I hope one day get's overhauled.

OMG I LUV IT!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was seriously debating between buying the original switch console and the Nintendo switch lite and I can honestly say I am glad I bought the original console. This is going to become the standard switch due to this one having a longer battery life and stronger hold with better venting so the system doesn't overheat. I love the feature of it being both portable and connecting it to the tv. You can switch off the joy-cons and buy new ones to make it totally personalized. Overall worth the money and fun to carry with you always.

Awesome Gaming System
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch Console is an awesome gaming system with a plethora of games. You can get a physical copy of the majority of the games and a digital copy of all. There are pros and cons for buying physical and digital, I wish games were like Movies in which you buy the physical and you get the digital as well (the industry won't ever do this, they Love the control). I still don't like that you get just 1 freaking controller which is the entire industry not just Nintendo. The one negative with Nintendo is their constant harping on Motion, I am disabled not badly, but deal with Pain and a lack of motion. The tiny Joy-Cons at least come with a holder that allows the Joy-Cons to work better for adults. SPEND the extra $70 or so and get the Pro Controller (which should cone with the console) it us definitely worth the money. In summary, I have been lucky to have been a teenager when the Original NES came out in the 1980's and I have owned every system including the Handhelds. The 2 best Consoles were the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and now the SWITCH.

Great for Multiplayer Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the original Switch mainly for Super Smash Bros, and it’s been a blast. The console’s versatility makes it easy to play on the TV or take it on the go, and my wife enjoys using it for Animal Crossing and a few other titles. It’s a solid system for both casual and competitive gaming.

Amazing technology with a few glaring misses
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch has amazing features. The ability to switch from stationary to portable is second to none. The controllers are awesome. The battery life is mind blowing.however the way in which accounts are managed, subscriptions required for Minecraft and other logins are absolutely nerve racking. In order for my two young children to play simultaneously I have to create multiple advanced login profiles with email addresses, ECT... No what I expected and not what I was required to do on previous platforms. Furthermore the lack of apps available is disappointing. The simple fact that there is NO BROWSER says it all. This platform was a good effort but sloppy. Don't unplug the Xbox. You'll be needing it still for Disney+, Hulu, Amazon prime ECT... It has Netflix and YouTube... yippee. Personally my favorite feature is the cloud games with retro Mario, ECT... For the price you're better off going with Rasp Pi if that's all you want. The best thing for the kids is the fact it undocks. So fighting siblings?: Undock and seperate them! One plays xbox, the goes mobile on switch. My youngest loves it but I have a feeling if he was older he'd see through these disadvantages and not be interested either. The new Mario games are nice. If you are addicted to the legacy you will require this machine to run proprietary games like this. Gameplay is smooth and nice although controllers sometimes are difficult to sync/switch input methods and even undock from the handheld leases. You'll appreciate holding two partial controllers and the ability to have more natural form playing as opposed to being hunched over and unnatural position with conventional controllers. My take: it's nice but make sure there's not something major missing for you first.

Excellent Gaming System
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking for this particular system as a requested gift for my 7-yr old grandchild. Although this system can out a year earlier, my grandchild was too young I thought to have this gaming system. Boy was I ever wrong. Not only was she old enough, but she has no problem opening and setting up the system by herself. Not only has she shown her mom how to play, she has defeated most of the adults that she plays with. Another good thing about this system is that it can be broken down and used as a take-a-long game system which she can play by herself. I am glad I purchased this system as it can be played with others or by one's self. I would highly recommend for anyone that loves to play games.

Great gaming console for everyone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting a switch for a while, and I finally got around to buying one. It's a great console with the option to either play handheld or on the TV. The versatility of the switch (as its name suggests) is definitely one of its strong points. My only complaints is the battery life is not always the best on handheld and the charging port is on the bottom (which makes it difficult when you're trying to use the kickstand in handheld mode). But, these in no way impact how much I enjoy the console. I'm really glad I bought it, and I recommend it to anyone (whether you play individually or with friends/families) as it is a great, enjoyable device that has really kept me entertained while in lockdown due to COVID-19.

Excellent Gaming System!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't owned a portable gaming system since the Nintendo Gameboy Advance and I have to say the Nintendo Switch definitely delivers that old nostalgia of my childhood. I wanted to get a Switch when it first came out, but I decided to wait until Nintendo released the second version with improved battery life. I like that they have many of the new popular games available to play like NBA 2k, but they also have the classic games for free like Super Mario Bros. My only complaint is that the console itself doesn't have much storage, and you have no choice but to purchase a micro SD card for extra storage which can be expensive. In the future, Nintendo should include a micro SD card with the system.

Worth the pricetag
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this as a christmas gift for our son. It was easy to set up, and get running. The monthly subscription we pur hased with it give access to variety of free games each month. The battery hold a charge for a long time, holds up to long car rides. My son put the controls in backward and we thought they were stuck and ruined, but the people at nintendo anticipated this mistake and put in a "fail safe", so nothing was ruined. It was pricey, in my non-gamer opinion, but the longer we have it the more worth it it seems. If you have a kid that will tote it around with them, i highly recommend adding cases and screen protectors.

A Nintendo Home Run
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Switch because I was looking forward to playing the classic games that I grew up with along with some that my kids enjoyed in the early Nintendo days. However, there are so many GREAT new games that cover virtually every type of gameplay one could want. I personally like games where there is a thinking element involved (puzzles/riddles to solve) instead of just jumping in and shooting everything in sight. I also like that many of the games can be played solo, with others in your house, or online with friends. The portability of this console makes it great for road trips, and I have been very pleased with the battery life.

Innovative game console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been on the fence about getting a new game console considering I rarely play, but I found the Nintendo Switch to be perfect for a casual gamer. The dynamic setup of the console allows you to play it handheld or linked to a TV. I find myself playing handheld a lot - great for short spurts. It’s a great distraction in the age of quarantine. In terms of game selection - I would definitely research what types of games you want to play and if they are already offered, or going to be offered. See if there is a demo and play it to the fullest extent - you’ll find you only spend money on games you really want. I’ve only bought one game so far!
