Same excellent console now with a much needed battery improvement. Would recommend to anyone that used to be on the fence

When people say the Ninendo Switch has no games, dont listen! Zelda BOTW and Mario Odyssey are more than enough to make you buy the Switch! Besides Arms, Splatoon 2, Pokken Tournament, Rocket League, and Fast RMX. The best part is you can take it on the go!

I'm so glad I made this purchase even with the "new" Switch on the horizon. I really love the versatility of the Switch! I honestly didn't think I would use the other modes besides docked, but it's been so nice having games on the go with something significantly better to play on than a phone. I really wanted to change up my gaming as I've only been playing PS4 lately and I've finished most of the games I wanted to play. That started to get stale so I really wanted something new and different. The Switch offers something fresh and engaging. I've spent so much time on Zelda Breath of the Wild, more than most games on my other console already. The joy-cons, although small, are quite responsive and work well with the games on offer. The whole device feels surprisingly solid and is definitely made well. I opted to get the BestBuy protection plan. I'd recommend this especially if you plan to take your Switch with you a lot. There is also a known issue with the joy-cons after a while. The sticks tend to drift causing input lag and misdirection, so I'm glad I would be covered in case something happens (the protection plan is actually cheaper than a new set of joy-cons too, just saying). I highly recommend getting some accessories for it. Cases, grips, controllers, dock sleeves, screen protectors. game card cases, all of these little things just add to the experience and of course, protects and makes things more convenient. It feels like I'm investing in something worthwhile. I understand those who are on the fence about buying this model with the announcement of an updated Switch coming in the fall. I bought mine this summer before that news came out, but I don't at all regret making the purchase. I knew I wanted to spend a chunk of my summer playing this. Plus the upgrade is very minor, just a couple hours of extra battery life. I always have my charger with me and I might invest in a portable battery anyway, so waiting a few months for a version that is virtually identical just didn't make sense to me. If you can wait then, sure, get a Switch later during the holidays. Either way, this is a fantastic console and if you really want to feel like a kid again this is for you!

Hands down the best Nintendo system ever made by Nintendo and for the price u can’t beat it compared to those other systems that cost over $400 and the best thing is u can bring it anywhere with u just make sure u buy a car charger for the Nintendo switch

I had an original Nintendo switch and this is the updated second version. I can honestly say the battery life has been significantly improved over the original version. I'm not sure if this new version claims any increase in game performance but at least to me, that still seems the same which is fine. Every game I have runs just as good on this switch as opposed to the original unit I had. I have had this unit for a while and purposely waited to post a review to be sure I did not have any joy-con drift problems like I did with the first unit which Nintendo corrected anyway. Nintendo is a top notch company who stands firmly behind its product. I recommend this console for all ages, if you can find it in stock.

Nothing quite like it. The Switch is absolutely unrivaled as a mobile-to-console platform. It runs extremely well, and knowing that Nintendo can only go up from here is heartening. Would not hesitate to buy another.

My son loves it! He really enjoys it. He likes that it’s portable so he can connect with his friends on the go. Just wish there was more variety of games to choose from. The only con is the lack of internal storage. Need to buy a separate SD card for it.

The Nintendo switch has great game selection. Their consolidation of the home console to something portable is awesome. Great buy for young and old...device itself is sleek & lightweight..everything you would want in a portable device. Good job Nintendo!

This is the best birthday gift ever! The words of my 9 year old son. He loves the ability to play on the TV and then play the same games on the go. Also the attachments on the go allow 2 players. Neat game system with fun games for kids and flexibility!

Right now it’s hard to get one of these, but if you get lucky, you won’t regret it. Super portable and has ton of fun games to play. In store pick up was super easy with the friendly staff. Highly recommend!

My son loves his Nintendo Switch. Love that he can take it anywhere and play or we can hook it up to our tv and play on the big screen. Controllers are a but tiny that come with it, but work well.

I’ve had years of fun playing this game system. Worth every penny!

The tiny controllers are taking some time to get use to. I think it is a neat combo between hand held and big screen gaming system. I feel this system is more family friendly than the xbox and playstation.

This is a great system for all ages, literally my 3 yr. old plays games and my brother who is 33 also plays games on this device that interest them. The device is portable which makes it great. And there are a huge selection of games including the old school nintendo games. The only con to this device is the remotes. They easily get damaged (buttons). I bought my first switch in Sept.2018 and since I had the warranty I switched it out because my remote buttons were stuck (ex. Player moving with touching the remote).

So far so good! I haven't owned any gaming systems since Nintendo 64 and I have to say its like I picked up where I left off but better. Great purchase for the family

Great performance for new and old games, Large display is beautiful and immersive

This was a bit of an impulse buy... I was planning on waiting until Christmas. Mario Kart, Zelda, and now Mario Odyssey are all classic games that bring the family together. The ability to take it on road trips will be a great feature in the future.

When the Switch was announced, I thought it was just going to be another spin-off of the Wii/Wii-U; just more of the same from Nintendo. However, once everything was set up and played for just a few hours, I realized just how wrong I was. To me, the Wii was a gimmick, and the games were far too childish and boring for my liking. It’s motion control was groundbreaking, yet annoyingly unresponsive or too sensitive. It was a good idea, a good platform, sub par execution, and a whole lotta letdowns. However, the Switch is a new chance for Nintendo. The amount of power packed into this tiny console is something Nintendo has needed from the very beginning to keep up with their competition. It also did something incredible, and that was making a console that was amazingly detailed when played on the big screen, while being similarly detailed in its portable form on the go. The graphics are impressive, of that there is no doubt. The Joy-cons are a step in the right direction. Motion controls have been improved, but still not perfect. The center seems to shift often, forcing you to readjust your grip, even making some uncomfortable movements to keep control over the game. If there was a way to make sure the mechanism inside zeros out every once in a while would help in this respect. Also, these controllers are the smallest I think I have ever used. Even with the dock that allows both Joy-cons to connect into a single controller doesn’t seem to help. They are small and flat, and feel as if my hands fit awkwardly around it. I was forced to purchase a Pro controller because my hands would become cramped from the strange way my fingers needed to stretch to reach the shoulder buttons. It was just another expense for an already expensive console, and for an entirely unnecessary reason, and that is design. This is the only reason the Switch lost a star for me. This is a new console, so there isn’t a wide selection of games just yet, but with the way things have been going for me, I see myself buying games for the Switch for some time.

This is an awesome console. I already had a PS4 and an Xbox one. I find myself on the move a lot more lately and was getting the itch for my childhood favorite games, Pokemon. The new version of the console has surprisingly great battery life. I’ve never had it die on me even after being playing for 6+ hours in handheld mode. The only drawback to this console is the price, and then the price of everything else you’re going to buy. Having an extra set of joycons isn’t essential, but it expands so many options for guest players and even yourself. Don’t get me wrong, if I could get Black Friday pricing on the accessories again I’d spend the money all over, but between the console, extra joycon, and games I bought, my wallet definitely felt it.
