Wonderful console capable of handheld gaming on the go. It's the perfect blend of both options. I primarily do my gaming at home, but the ease of taking it outside or bringing it with me when I travel has been a pleasure. I've owned it for more than a year, and my favorite aspect is being able to easily include other people in on games with the detachable joy cons controllers and the overall versatility of the console.

I’ve always been a Nintendo fan, especially for their portable consoles. So when I saw they came out with a hybrid portable console I knew I wanted it. I waited till the library of games had built up enough and pulled the trigger. The variety of games for the console is its strong suit. It has everything from original games and Wii U ports all the way to great indie titles and amazing pc ports. The only criticism I have is the joy cons are awkward. The work ok for single player but are almost unusable for multiplayer. Portable mode is the only time I find myself using them. Otherwise I use a power a controller (similar to the Nintendo pro controller). This makes gaming sessions on the tv far more tolerable. If you’re a Nintendo fan this is a must have. If you’re not it makes a pretty decent alternate console for gaming on the go.

I was very skeptical about getting this because I’m a console gamer but the switch truly surprised me with the gaming experience it offers.

this machine is impressive, the design is sturdy and classy. love the joycons, and being able to play co-op without the need of additional controllers because THEY COME WITH THE UNIT! . what a best way to entertain yourself and when i want to leave the house or move around i just undock the console instantly and keep playing. the best purchase ive ever made.

Very cool. Handheld gaming systems have come along way since the original GameBoy!

Absolute Fun! Great selection of games and bunch of Eshop indie games for under $20. Kids love it.

Love this product love that it can connect to the tv and play there.

We usually purchase Samsung TV's but this Sharp TV deal was to good to pass up. The quality is exactly the same and the size perfect for our basement gym.

This console is worth every penny, although it is recommended to also buy a bigger microSD card just in case you want to download a lot of games.

I was a fan of the Wii U but it was very limited, had a small library of games and was bulky. The Switch is a Wii U on steroids! its powerful, Runs Doom 2016 and has a HUGE library of Games. This is the Second one for our house, we own one for me and one for my wife. This system I think will soon become my most favorite console, previously my best of all time was the N64. The Switch may take that spot for me.

My kids love it and it doesn’t need a tv. Also saves on the power bill. Charge and play.

The Nintendo Switch has been even more awesome than I expected. I initially thought the joy cons were too small, but after playing with them for a while, especially attached to the switch, they feel great! I actually play Zelda in handheld mode more often than I play it docked, which is the opposite of what I expected it to be. It really is the perfect combination of a handheld device and a living room console. Superb job Nintendo! Keep it up!

patiently waited for it to come back into stock and was very glad to see they had them again. once i got it, i couldn't out it down. very fun

I remember as a kid wishing I could take my games on the go. Sure there were great handheld gaming devices like the Gameboy Advance, but what about taking the games you play at home on the big screen with you? With the Nintendo Switch, I can finally do that and it is a game changer. Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odessey are some of the best games I have ever played and I would buy the Nintendo Switch for those two games alone. If I want to play Breath of the Wild while I am on vacation I can simply lift my switch out of the dock and the console automatically switches to portable mode. It is a pretty magical experience! In addition to all the great Nintendo games, the Switch breathes fresh life into old games too with surprisingly good 3rd party support. You can now play great games like Skyrim, Stardew Valley, and Fortnite on the go! While I love the Nintendo Switch, there is some room for improvement. Some people have had issues with the dock scratching the screen. This has not been a problem for me because I installed a glass screen protector on mine. I wish there was an easier way to connect the switch to a TV when away from home. There are 3rd party adapters that can do this but Nintendo really should make one. Finally, Nintendo really needs to bring back the virtual console. It would be awesome if I could play old NES, SNES, and Gameboy games on the Switch. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend this console to anyone. It is a great console for family/party play as well as individual play.

Finally managed to get my hands on this during quarantine. I’m nowhere near being a hardcore gamer, but I do enjoy some of the more lowkey/“family friendly”/party games. Love how portable it is (for now, just between rooms, but I can see it being easy to take outside as well).

I haven''t taken my Switch out on the road yet, but playing it in my house and running the system through my TV is a fun experience. I also have an Xbox One and PS4. Its not as powerful as those systems, but the graphics look terrific playing Mario Cart and Mario Odyssey. It also now has Civilization which is one of the reasons I wanted to try it out. Playing the Mario games brings back a lot of great memories.
