This is our second switch. To be honest they are not built to the quality standards that one thinks when they hear Nintendo. Nintendo knows about the issues and they just hide from them until a lawsuit comes. This version is nothing more than a final production model. What that means is they didn’t really change any of the specs but what they did do is try to address its problems and put out a production ready model. So it has better cooling and a longer life battery and a brighter display. But nothing is really improved internally. The first version of the switch was not production worthy. Nintendo knew that going into it and still released it. So going forward I have some advice for you. 1. Buy the Geek Squad extended warranty 2. Either buy a 128/256gb microSDXC for the switch for game downloads and most importantly saved data 3. Buy Nintendo online and store saves in the cloud as an option and if there are multiple players in the household buy the family plan. All of their saves will be backed up to the cloud as well if they chose to do so. 4. Under no circumstances ever send your switch to Nintendo for repairs. If you do and you failed to heed the advice given in 1-3. Say good bye to everything. They will not save your data. They won’t even try to do so. All that you’ve worked for will be lost and you will end up in a worse position than if you had seemed help from an outside source. 5. Battery and powering issues are common problems. Nintendo keeps hiding from the truth. Read steps 1-4 again. This is our second switch. It was perfectly fine and the battery drained completely because it was sitting in a case for about 6 months. From that point it would never power back on. We tried all of Nintendo’s recommendations and nothing. Nintendo is a horrible company to deal with. Read their BBB profile, the stories online about switch repairs and look at reddit. Trust me you don’t want to go through what we did. You won’t be any different. So do yourself a favor and buy it from Best Buy. Pay extra for their extended warranty and highly consider everything you’ve read here. I’ve owned every single Nintendo system since release. This will probably be my last.

A great system for people of all ages. The new V2 battery is way better too.

I love it! My family loves it! My neighbors love it! This is a great console/handheld hybrid. It great to be able to play games at home, then be able to take them on the go. Things are only going to get better as the year goes on, more games and features are to be released. Very happy with my purchase.

Travels super easily, so many games to play. Easy to play with groups or by yourself.

We have a 10 year old and a 4 year old. The 10 year old isn’t into the games for Xbox and PlayStation but loves the Mario games. We got this and both of the kids love it. It’s easy enough for my 4 y/o to control and the games that come out for it are geared towards family type games.

My son has been playing his switch every day since I got it for him for his birthday. Perfect birthday gift for a 5 year old. WOW!! Absolutely amazing
