I've really needed a console like this. I don't have time to devote an entire weekend to a game and when I do have time I'm usually traveling. For me games have to be something I can put down for a day or 2 and pick back up right where I left off and take with me. Portables like the Vita and 3DS were really the only way to do that and play any kind of decent games (lets face it, the app store and play store are never going to have quality games when everything is competing at a $2-$3 price point and/or are full of ads and in-app purchases.) Portables just aren't ergonomic though and power-wise they've been pretty limited. Well, the Switch fills that gap in spectacular fashion. Pros: Ergonomics. Like all Nintendo consoles since the Wii you get your choice of a variety of control schemes but they've never been this seamless or as functional as the Joycons. The fact that I can take them off in portable mode and sit back in an airplane seat or lay down in bed with the screen in a phone holder over me is awesome. Load times: Solid state flash is back for game media (finally!) and it makes things snappy. There's no install time and running the game off physical media is as fast, if not faster, than running a downloaded game off a SATA hard drive. Interface: In keeping with the load times the interface is as clean and snappy as any good android or iOS tablet and the UI is as direct and intuitive as it gets. This is a huge improvement over the Wii U and Sony and Microsoft would do well to take note. Build quality: Nintendo finally ditched the shiny kiddie plastic feel and made something that feels like an adult device and is marketed to, adults. Cons: No apps or browser (yet?): I'm sure this is coming and they hint at it in the interface but presently there's no netflix, hulu, etc. This is obviously a change that can be made over the air and I have several other devices that also do streaming. I probably wouldn't use a broweser even if it had one since my phone's browser is going to be better and have all my favorites already. The kickstand is a bit too far to the right: unfortunately this means the switch doesn't stand up well on soft or curved surfaces and you'll have to jerry rig something or, perhaps, get a case or stand for it. I don't know if those are coming. It is a unique problem to have among consoles though. Null: These are things that I'm either ambivalent about or cancel themselves out. Games: right now, breath of the wild is an amazing game, it's spectacular. Unfortunately there's not much else out yet. Bomberman, perhaps. There's a lot of stuff coming but at the moment we're kind of just waiting.

So easy and convenient wish there were better games in the App Store and more free games but overall love the switch. Perfect substitute to a phone or tablet on the go but also great at home to plug into tv

Haven't opened this one yet, it's a Christmas present. But my son has played it before and he loves it. I'm just glad i was able to get one since they've been out of stock everywhere for quite some time.

I bought this for my son and it was everything we ecpected! He loves it and has a great time playing it. I love the Just Dance 2020 game because you can connect it to the TV and they get some exercise while having fun.

Nintendo really did a good job innovating with this console. It’s small, portable, packs a punch, and some games can even support 8 players.

We bought this Switch as a Christmas gift for our family of three. Like a lot of people, being home and inside more made us look for some other entertainment means, and also some ways to get a little exercise inside. I bought Just Dance 2021 and Mario Cart to go with the console, along with an extra set of controllers and micro SD card. So far we've been having a lot of fun with it, with Mario Cart seeing the most use. Just Dance is good but I wish there was more content and variety. I think we were lucky to find one of the new consoles at Best Buy before Christmas. Along with the memory card and extra controllers we also put on a screen protector based on some stuff we'd read online.

Obviously it's really difficult to find a Nintendo Switch during these times. This gaming console is super fun and easy to use. Additionally, it was shipped an extra 2 days early so that was a nice surprise!

Owning all the major platforms I can say that I was totally surprised at how wrong I was about the Switch. The Switch, in essence, is the "Un-Console" of the Big Three. In no way will it compare to the latest offerings from Xbox or PlayStation, it does best complimenting those consoles. Zelda is a masterpiece, and more great games will be coming. As a main console, it's harder to recommend due to a lack of features and games. As a second or third console, it's truly amazing. It's so nice to be able to take the console with you -- even if that is just to a different room in your house.

Bestbuy had it available during Christmas and got one for the kids. They love it and very cool over the Xbox and Playstation since they can take it with them since it doubles as a portable device

I deliberated a lot in purchasing this new console being that I already had a ps4 with many games. I made the purchase for my love of Mario kart and this game and console certainly did not disappoint. Its multifaceted capabilities are fantastic. I never notice the difference with the onscreen graphics quality to the handheld quality. The unconventional controllers are new, innovative and a pleasure to use; the lack of attachment to the standard remote is a pivotal design for gaming systems and is a joy to use. Only downside is when playing two player the joycons feel small and your hand begins to cramp up regularly. It has become my homes hot commodity and is used frequently when company is over. I have just purchased Zelda breath of the wild and I’ve only become more hooked. If you’re hesitant in purchasing, take the leap and buy it. You won’t regret it.

Was skeptical at first as I am a pc gamer, but I’m glad I purchased. Was looking for something that my significant other and I could play together and this is it! They have a great game selection and also if you subscribe to the Nintendo online you can download old Super Nintendo games. Ohh the Nostalgia! It’s an absolute blast! Not to mention you can take it on the road. Definitely a must buy if you are on the fence! Very very fun!

I love my switch. My wife who hasn't played games since Mario 64, can't get enough of Zelda, animal crossing and Luigi's Mansion. So nice to go from tv to handheld and keep gaming. Wish I would of got it sooner.

This is a really good gaming system even for people who aren't necessarily that into gaming. The variety of games for purchase is amazing and there really is something for everyone. Very easy to set up as well.

Saved my marriage. Helped me reconnect with my estranged parents. Just excellent, Nintendo.

Same as any other switch. Works fine and the kids like playing with it.

We are really enjoying the Switch as a family. We purchased an extra controller and have been playing Mario Kart 8 together. I really like the ability to take it on the go and dock it to the main screen!

My son's love their Nintendo switch! Doesn't take up a lot of room and great for travel!
