Love it, Perfect gift for my daughter and a good price.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and she loved it!!

Great for Mario! Kids love it’s portable or docked for tv use!

Great family fun. Was on the fence about getting a ps4 or even an xbox1x, until I ventured down the aisle where the switch was. My kids played a few of the demos with ease, and that was the selling point. It's very easy to use, and overall just insanely fun to play.

I owned very few handheld game consoles and the Switch was by far the priciest and hardest to come by. But I've been pretty happy with the purchase. It comes with a small library of NES and SNES games if you're in the mood for some classics. The first party games for the switch are unsurprisingly always expensive - don't expect price drops to $20 that you might see for PS or Xbox games. I mainly use the switch for indies like Slay the Spire or Hades - games that are great for playing in short bursts and don't require much in the way of keeping track of quest progress, inventory, etc. It's been great playing on a small screen while having the TV on in the background. They could've really beefed up the specs though. The Switch was already underpowered during the generation it came out, and now that the PS5 and new Xboxes are out, it's not even in the same league anymore. It's definitely not the ideal platform for playing multiplats. The poor thing struggles with relatively non-demanding games when there's a lot going on in the screen. First party games tend to be relatively well optimized though, so things like Mario Odyssey look and play great. If you're like me and plan to have the Switch as a side console, it's great for indies you wouldn't want to boot up a TV console or PC for. With Steam Deck coming out soon though, this may be a moot point, so Nintendo exclusives would need to be the main draw for getting one of these.

Both sons are hard to buy for they both wanted this , so each will get one for Christmas.

This is a very good way to entertain and relax after a long day of work.

First off, yes the Wii U was lackluster. It had a few good games but really wasn't what the Wii before it was. Fast forward to 2017 and we have the Switch. It is everything the Wii U wanted to be and more. It is 100% portable, it plays games in your living room as well. This is a very good system, and let's face it, if you want to play Zelda or Mario, you need the Switch. Yes Breath of the wild is also on Wii U, but it is a must if you have a Switch. Now as far as hardware is concerned, the joycons are passable as a controller. But I did and still do have sync problems with the left joy con. Also there has been lag issues with the joy cons when the system is docked for tv play. So i have not gotten a pro controller yet, but I have read that the sync and lag issues are non existent on the pro controller. All in all I love the Switch. I highly recommend it. It's Nintendo after all and they do not disappoint when it comes to their own ip's.

I waited to get the Nintendo Switch for Animal Crossing New Horizons, and I knew I would get Mario Party (which can't be played on Switch Lite.) I did not un-box the unit until watching You-Tube videos for set-up procedures, and I was glad I did, because there are no real instructions in the box. It was easy to set up, and it looks and feels well-made.
