I always hold off on purchasing new video game consoles for the first few months at least, usually for a full year or so, since there always seem to be kinks to get worked out. When I came across these in stock at Best Buy, after seeing it nowhere for months, I decided to pick one up with a lot of other accessories. First off, having heard some complaints about the system in terms of scratches from docking, Joycons loosing connection from too far away, graphics not stacking up to other systems, I'll say this: I haven't had any issues with the first two and if you care more about what it looks like than how the games play and the overall experience, you probably won't be into this system. This is not a hardcore gamer's system because it was made for the casual gamer to play at home or on the go due to it's portability. You really can't compare it to other systems because it's not like other systems. It sacrifices graphics, sure, but only in lieu of being completely portable. The battery charge lasts quite awhile on the full system out of the dock - I found myself playing more often undocked than docked since it's convenient to be able to take it up to bed or in the car on trips if I'm not driving. The batteries in the Joycons also last quite awhile and I have yet to have them run out while playing. Other than that, there's not much to say that's not specific to the games on the system. They have a lot of games to download from the Nintendo eStore so anyone who's complaining about lack of launch titles at this point hasn't checked the store in awhile since there is a lot to keep us busy until the holiday season when they invariably release a slew of new titles.

Nintendo nailed it, finally. It seems they took what they learned from the Wii U and created a great gaming console. This machine has a bright future, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Best gaming device there is lets you play on a tv or on the go via the screen. Like the old PSP but so much cooler. Has the best games too!

Best device for my 5 year old. She playes all of the Mario games and it’s convenient she can dock to play on her tv when she wants. It’s very easy for her to use, and convenient for us that it’s passcode protected so she can’t play past a certain time.

My kids are really into gaming. We already have a ps4 and Xbox. My son has been begging for the switch for some time now and i got to say its pretty cool!!! I love how easy it is to put together, a console without a bunch of confusing cords. Think it has just one or two. I mean to be fair my ps4 has so many cause i have a vr connected to it LOL. But anyways not only do my kids love it but i LOVE IT as well. The Super Mario games remind me of my childhood! I have a really good time playing it and my son was surprised at how good i was at the game lol #MomPoints

It has been over a year since we bought this product and our daughter loves it. Now she can share with her brother. It is very handy.

Amazing purchase, I’m enjoy the Nintendo switch as everyone told me it would be. The switch comes very handy when your traveling and got nothing else to do just bring it and play any game you want. Definitely playing this for a long time.

Late to the game I know…. Just got a Switch as the 2 is coming out. Definitely the best overall console/handheld I’ve had but we’ll see if that changes when I finally get my hands on the Switch 2. My only regret is that I wish I had popped the extra $50 for the OLED screen after seeing the demo one in the store.

Always wanted one but never got it. So happy with this one.

My partner and I purchased the Nintendo Switch just so she could eventually play Untitled Goose Game (which lived up to the hype). Beyond that game though, we've really enjoyed racing together in Mario Kart, cooperating through the levels of Super Mario Brothers, and exploring many of the indie games available for the console. The flexibility in playing alone in handheld mode or multiplayer in either tabletop mode or docked and connected to a tv has been great. I would recommend this console for anyone looking for casual gameplay and beyond.

The Switch is great and versatile. I would have given it 5 stars if it had more games appealing to me but that will come in time. The one type of game I would like it to make available is a Wii Sports type game with similar games like bowling or boxing. All that said, the system works well and is fun to play. It is also great to able to pull it off the dock and play it as a handheld system.

This is a pretty great console and has a good library of games. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the joy con issue. It sucks that you will eventually have to either get them repaired for a temporary fix or purchase new joy cons or a $60 pro controller. Other than that it's Nintendo you can't really go wrong.

A game console that provides loads of fun with portability?! Sign me up! I highly recommend this console, it offers an on the go experience that just makes it worth the price tag.

I played video games as a child with a DS or a game boy or a game cube and i felt the switch was similar and the best of both worlds! For someone who isnt super familar with video games, it was fairly easy to figure out how to use.

My son loves this! He set it up himself and plays it all the time. Nintendo systems and games are always spot on fun and easy to use.
