Honestly not a ton to say about the switch it’s been around for years and has out lasted all of it’s peers, you really can’t go wrong with a nintendo switch. It does suck that after all these years you rarely see Nintendo cut back on the prices especially for a system that in all honesty is extremely outdated in terms of it’s hardware but Nintendo keeps delivering and making it work time after time so just take into consideration you aren’t getting mindblowing graphics with a Switch that’s not what it’s for but you are getting a lot of great games made by passionate developers.

Great product. Compact, convenient and fun for all. When the whole family is tired of trying to figure out what to watch on TV we just decide what to play on the Switch!

So I got this for my 11 year old. He loves it ! Awesome selection of games, totally portable, great speed and graphics, and it can be hooked directly to tv.

Good system for home or on the go gaming. Not as powerful as the competition, but it doesn't need to be. The games from Nintendo are really fun.

Easy setup. Was pretty much fully charged out the box and was ready to play with family within 10mins. 3 different ways to setup the system and play

Fun family entertainment. Easy to set up and use. The only thing that is an issue is storage. Make sure you get a memory card right away.

I always hold off on purchasing new video game consoles for the first few months at least, usually for a full year or so, since there always seem to be kinks to get worked out. When I came across these in stock at Best Buy, after seeing it nowhere for months, I decided to pick one up with a lot of other accessories. First off, having heard some complaints about the system in terms of scratches from docking, Joycons loosing connection from too far away, graphics not stacking up to other systems, I'll say this: I haven't had any issues with the first two and if you care more about what it looks like than how the games play and the overall experience, you probably won't be into this system. This is not a hardcore gamer's system because it was made for the casual gamer to play at home or on the go due to it's portability. You really can't compare it to other systems because it's not like other systems. It sacrifices graphics, sure, but only in lieu of being completely portable. The battery charge lasts quite awhile on the full system out of the dock - I found myself playing more often undocked than docked since it's convenient to be able to take it up to bed or in the car on trips if I'm not driving. The batteries in the Joycons also last quite awhile and I have yet to have them run out while playing. Other than that, there's not much to say that's not specific to the games on the system. They have a lot of games to download from the Nintendo eStore so anyone who's complaining about lack of launch titles at this point hasn't checked the store in awhile since there is a lot to keep us busy until the holiday season when they invariably release a slew of new titles.

Like the flexibility of being able to take it with me and not requiring a TV hook-up to use. Can even use it to play with people in other cities.

Nintendo nailed it, finally. It seems they took what they learned from the Wii U and created a great gaming console. This machine has a bright future, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

This console is great for younger kids. The games are very kid friendly. The console is great because you can take it on the go and use it at home on a TV!

Some backstory: I'm a grown woman. As a kid we had an N64 and an original PlayStation. I transitioned to PC gaming in my teens and never looked back to consoles. As an adult I have never had a Wii, Xbox, or newer-generation Playstation. I, like many others, was looking for something to do in my spare time during the COVID pandemic besides watching movies and television. I bought this console in September 2019. I don't have any existing ties to a console (all the controllers are greek to me and would need to be learned) or game franchise. Pros: - The flexibility of this console impresses me even months later. I love being able to grab the unit from the dock and walk around the house with my Pokemon Sword game uninterrupted when someone else wants to use the TV. I love being able to take my unit to a friend's house and dock there. I love being able to use the joycons separately, together in a grip, or use "pro style" controllers. It's obviously a huge selling point and it hasn't disappointed. Looking forward to travelling with it someday. - Great mix of major, indie, and free titles. We have played some of the "major" games (Pokemon) and freemium stuff (Rocket League, Asphalt 9) but gravitate toward strategy/puzzle games like Overcooked 2, Moving Out, Untitled Goose Game, and Donut County. Maybe a similar mix is available on other platforms, I'm just pleasantly surprised at the variety compared to my childhood N64 and PS1 collections. We still have lots of popular games like Zelda or Super Mario to check out in the future. Cons: - The graphics aren't amazing compared to top of the line Xbox or PS consoles. - Certain games have considerable lag/latency during gameplay. - Felt like a decent number of accessories were basically required at the get-go. Have purchased a screen protector, third party controller, hard case for travelling, grips for the individual joycons, and an SD card. Of course no games come included so the price of games is added on to that. - Almost everyone I know who's had the console for at least a year complains about the joycons breaking or drifting. I expect we'll need to replace ours at some point in the next year.

Very fun to play even with people who aren't good at video games. You don't have to be good to have fun on the Switch and most games are really easy to learn. Best to get a full size controller because the small ones get stick drift very easy.

Nintendo has always been my favorite game system. I am glad I am able to share this with my kids. If you do buy this I recommend getting the online features as well. It’s less expensive than Xbox and it allows you to get at. The 8 bit and 16 bit games.y kids really enjoy the Mario kart deluxe a feature.

Best gaming device there is lets you play on a tv or on the go via the screen. Like the old PSP but so much cooler. Has the best games too!

I purchased this item for my daughter's Christmas gift. Everything came as stated. My daughter loves her gift. I ordered this online for pickup and the service was great. They never had me waiting for more than 2 hours, and when I came to collect it, they greeted me and were very kind.
