I grew up playing Nintendo as a kid. This is by far my favorite console! It took me three months to finally get one. For those that are trying, don’t give up, I added to my cart EVERY day and it finally went though! Battery life needs an upgrade and I wish it could connect to my Beats headphones - but I still give it five stars.

To be clear, I'm an owner and avid player of all three major consoles, I even have a ps vr, new 3ds and a vita. I think im in love with this little machine, the biggest appeal of the vita to me was the occasional fantastic exclusive title and the mostly functional remote play function. xbox, same thing, especially living in a household with a baby, it was nice to remote play to my pc in the other room etc etc. these features were mostly functional, occasionally laggy but usually worth the effort of playing your console through a secondary device. I NO LONGER HAVE TO DO THAT. ALL HAIL THE SWITCH LORDS. Playing zelda? Gotta take off? slide that mofo outta the dock and youre playing zelda on the go.

It's worth buying just to play 4 person Mario Kart racing.

I got this so that my 11 grandkids could have fun playing video games at my house

It's a good console for those that want to play either at home or on the go. It's affordable, and this revision is the one with a longer battery life. Be sure to get this one and not the other one (Which I'm sure can be told by the price difference.) Though one gripe I do have is the small amount of storage. I mean sure, it's enough for maybe one or two triple A games, but if you by a lot of games online and take screenshots, you best be getting a big Micro SD card.

Bought this system primarily for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it has not disappointed!

I think the console is great. The portability is the winner for me. On the downside, all the digital games from my Wii and Wii-U library are not and cannot be played here (yet, fingers crossed). I feel that this is the first nintendo system that skips being hyper kid (10 and under) friendly in that the game cartridges while very similar in size to 3ds game cartridges cannot be easily swapped while the system is docked for t.v. mode. Again, I say for kids 10 and under. Not a common issue and does not cause immediate problems, but I believe that the pressures and fumbling by the children aforementioned can cause connection issues down the road. Beyond that, Nintendo is winning for hardware; and Zelda Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece introduction to the world it transports you to. Bring on Smash Bros and a dedicated online service (maybe we get chat)...!
