Great gift for younger gamers, easy to use & set up

Bought this for my kids and they are super excited.

My family had felt burned by the Wii U. We'd invested in it, only to have Nintendo sunset it for the Switch, so we were reluctant to reinvest in their next console. However, after reading reviews and the games to be released we took a shot, and glad so far we did. The joycons put an interesting spin on interacting with games, and the system's portability factor allow you to play the same games in travel - even multiplayer. We're very pleased!

I've been saying for awhile now that cutting edge technology is seeing diminishing returns and the Nintendo Switch is a perfect example. Is it the most powerful, newest piece of tech out there? No, but that's fine. What it lacks in power it makes up in performance, design, and versatility. And when it comes to games, I don't need the most realistic HD intense graphics. I want a good game. I want games that I can play with friends, both local and online. I want to be able to take my games with me when I travel. The Switch provides this and the game lineup for the coming year looks fantastic!

This is what the Wii U should have been. I love this console. The ability to play AAA games like Zelda breath of the wild while I'm at break at work. The come home and keep playing where you left off on tyne big screen at home is amazing. You just drop it in the dock. And the game resumes where you left of. Graphics are better than the wii u. Not huge, but notable difference. The wii u died due to being a game pad that lost connection when I walk to the kitchen. Horrible. Games on the wii u are great . But the switch is a portable wii u with better graphics. The system feels comfortable in my hands. Easy to set up. Light enough to put in my work bag, but too big to put in my pocket. If you love nintendo and portable consoles this is a win.

The Nintendo Switch is a pretty cool gadget. It’s like you get 2 devices for the price if one! You could play your video games at home on your tv, then attach the controls to the portable unit and take it along with you when you’re on the go. I’d say it’s about the size of a PSP (of you remember what those were). So it does have a little weight to it when you use it as a portable video game player but the device is pretty slim and the graphics are pretty sharp. The screen is a pretty good size too. I would suggest buying a case for your Switch of you plan on taking it on the go. I wish there were more games and if they weren’t so expensive. Would’ve been awesome if you could play DS games on the Switch.

Great product. Have so much fun playing especially when it comes to playing the mario games!

Very easy to set up and easy to play with on the go

These have been hard to find, but get one when you find one. No other console embraces family play like the switch. I’m sad that Sony and X-box have moved away from group play games- Nintendo has stayed true and my family has had a blast playing with the switch.

I haven’t had a Nintendo console since the Wii. And this was an awesome re-entry back into it. You can close your eyes and pick a random game to play and it’ll keep you smiling from here to hear, tough yet fun and challenging games await, not just for kids!

Excellent Nintendo switch my kid love it. Perfect for kids age 8 to 14

Got this for my kids for Christmas and they were over the moon about it. Setup was a breeze and really fast. They were playing in a matter of minutes. As a parent, what I found really cool was the free app for my smart phone that accompanies the console. I can log in on my phone and monitor the amount of time they play and what content my kids are exposed to. I can set parental controls and most importantly, I can setup how long they can play every day and once they hit the limit it shuts down for the rest of the day. Unlike the Wii U, this console can be played throughout the house and even on the go. Having bought just about every gaming system for the last 20+ years, I am seriously impressed with this product.
