Can't imagine how I would've gotten through 2020 without having this around. Probably my favorite Nintendo console since the Nintendo 64 and it has been such an awesome addition.

I haven't used Nintendo hardware in more than 10 years. I was not a fan of the direction Nintendo took with the Wii & WiiU, nor the Nintendo DS and 3DS. But when I saw that that they had finally returned to something more traditional when it came to a console and its controller, I became open to getting this. And as soon as Mario Kart 8 came out, I couldn't resist. This is easily the best portable games console I've ever had and I'm enjoying it a great deal. It's great to see Nintendo adopt universal standards like USB-C. The buttons feel good, the construction feels good (other than the kickstand), and it's just sheer joy to be carrying around a system that is capable of multiplayer all the time. To be able to prop up the system, slide off the controllers, and play impromptu multiplayer anywhere? Just surreal! Here are the flaws though. As great as the screen is, it should be 1080p instead of 720p. There aren't enough games to play on the system and third party support has been limited thus far. The online multiplayer system is bare bones and is not going to be free anymore come this Fall. If it's worth paying for, it has to be a lot better than what it is. Where is the bluetooth support for headsets and headphones? Where is the virtual console library of classic games that we all want to start buying from? Finally, and possibly worst of all, this thing just doesn't have great battery life. It depends on the game, and sure, you can play around with brightness settings and play on mute or with headphones, but you will never get more than 3 hours of playtime with this thing. For extended or marathon gaming sessions, that isn't going to cut it. Also, as a home console, this thing has not earned the right to be in my home entertainment center. No support for streaming media services? 70 dollars for the pro controller? A lackluster online service that doesn't support voice chat? No thanks. Honestly, I never thought I'd be open to getting this system. But this is the most modern Nintendo console ever. Playing online Mario Kart and Street Fighter 2 with my friends has been a ton of fun, even without voice chat and even with friend codes. The Switch is missing a lot of things but as a portable system, I haven't had this much fun with a Nintendo system in a long time.

Amazingly good game console. Can be hooked up to a Smart TV or played alone on its own.

I have always owned a Nintendo console, so there is the disclaimer. I have owned both the Nintendo home consoles (WiiU, Wii, Gamecube) and the handheld consoles (3Ds, DS), so this is the perfect device for me to bring those two worlds together. I love the ability to "Switch" from TV to handheld and they fact that it has two controllers built in is perfect for those who love to play multiplayer on the go. I also had an issue with the joy-cons, but Nintendo fixed it for me for free.

I've heard so much about this game system and so happy we were able to find one. We haven't used it yet as it's a Christmas present (yes we start early) for my son. He'll be so excited!

Love it! It has a good battery life and performance is great. I would suggest to start off with Zelda and Dance Dance (Even if it seems cheesy)

The Switch is exactly what was promised. Transferring from dock to handheld and vise versa is flawless, just like in the advertising. Putting it into sleep mode is also instant, allowing you to go back to the exact spot you were in when you turned it off, even in the middle of cut scenes. It also saves your game right before your console dies when in handheld mode so you don't lose any progress! Battery life is about 3-4 hours depending on screen brightness and what game you're playing, it does support external batteries to combat that issue.

The Switch's best feature is its portability and it works flawlessly. I get about 2 1/2 - 3 hours of Zelda in between charges. The transition to my tv is also smooth if I want to keep it docked. A lack of must own games (aside from the fantastic Breath of the Wild) and extremely pricey accessories keeps this from being five stars

I absolutely love this device! I wasn’t sure which model of the switch I wanted. My brother has the handheld one, which I considered getting, but I ended up getting this model so that if I had friends over we could play on the TV together. I do not regret my decision at all!! This device is so neat in that you have so many different modalities to play your favorite games.

I was lucky to be able to find this item in stock shortly after Animal Crossing came out and when it seems like the whole world wanted one too. This is our second Switch so we are able to visit each other's island on Animal Crossing and play various games together. Two drawbacks though, 1) the kickstand that is on the Switch is pointless and I advise not to use it; 2) video options limited to Hulu and YouTube.
