The concept is great. Being able to game on the road or at my TV with ease is a brilliant move. This device delivers on a big promise; and it delivers pretty well. There's definitely a feeling of a rush to market being given off though. They clearly needed a rapid influx of cash to stay solvent. Pushing this device to market was a life raft for Nintendo. They could have waited a couple months and had a newer version of the Nvidia SOC that would have resulted in higher performance and better framerates. Not to mention better battery life, but alas it still seems to have worked out. Also, there's the problem with the left joycons that Nintendo refuses to acknowledge as a design flaw. I sent mine off on Monday afternoon for a repair and had it back by Friday morning. The fix is to enhance the antenna strength by installing a tiny piece of conductive foam on the transmitter's contacts. But at least it works!! So far I've played Zelda BotW and Skylanders...I must admit i've spent a lot more time in Zelda than Skylanders. This game is impressive! It's just a lot of fun and I don't typically go for open world games as they are too time consuming. I've taken to playing the console handheld far more often than on my TV. I seem to just enjoy it more. Plus it's a little easier to hold the controllers at that width for my big hands. The performance and sound have been spectacular. It's no XB1 or PS4, but it's a Nintendo and it's going to have a bunch of 1st party titles that are worth playing. Biggest complaint is the amount of time we have to wait for those new titles. Seriously though...This system is a lot of fun!

This switch is just like the previous model apart from the fact that it has a bigger battery and for a system that is meant to be versatile and mobile, it is a great addition! The new battery will last 3-5 hours longer than it’s original counterpart resulting in a battery that will last you from 5-10 hours per charge! If you play a lot of Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Smash Bros, the battery will last you plenty! To know that you have the newer model make sure that the box is all red and that the serial number has (-01) at the end!

Probably the best gaming system for my lifestyle at this moment. Yes, it could be "more powerful," but it runs games like Zelda and Fast RMX perfectly fine so I really don't have anything against the performance as I've experienced it. And it's VERY well built and engineered. Lots of people are saying there are too many problems with the switch right now, but I haven't experienced anything (no scratches, no dead pixels, nothing). And as far as the games go, no there aren't a ton out right now, but there are a handful that I enjoy. And let's be honest, who really needs 20 games right at launch? By slowly releasing them, those of us that do buy the system can play a game for a little while, and save up for the next release. Yes, I know, not everyone likes every type of games. I only liked maybe 3 of the actual launch games. But I already also know of at least $300 worth of games coming out this year that I want, and they're all pretty much big games, so I have no doubt the only shortage I'll face is with my wallet. I've wanted a system I can take on the go for a while now, (I travel a lot) so this system is absolutely perfect. If you're like me and want something you can easily take with you, then get this. If you have any doubts, luckily you have some time to get over them, since they're pretty much sold out most places at this point, but whether your doubts are with games, or performance, or just the fact that it's Nintendo, I have to say the whole experience with this system feels like a very different Nintendo than during the Wii U era. I look forward to what the future holds for the Switch.

Love the fact you can dock it to play on your TV or remove it from the dock and play on the go. Make sure to pick up a microSD card as the console doesn't have much memory.

Nintendo makes a comeback!! I had a Nintendo 64 back in the day and loved it! I had lost interest in Nintendo after the GameCube and Wii.. The Switch is by far one of the best gaming consoles you can buy! All the original games are available! I love it and my kids love it too! I love that I can hook it up to the TV with the dock and have a wide selection of controllers to choose from as well. The only complaint I have is with the joycons. They aren't very durable and are bit expensive to replace.

    Great Game Console

This is really a great game console. Nintendo is truly out there looking out for the "casual gamers" and is a family-oriented game company. They know who their average customers are and they are catering to what we're looking for. It's got good enough graphics that the average user would appreciate. We don't really need crazy high resolution. It comes with so many accessories that it's really worth it for the price. You know if this was other game companies they would make you buy each accessory piece separately to make the total price higher than this. I love the portability of this console. It has a kickstand that allows you to prop it up and use it as a screen instead of connecting it to a tv screen, so you could easily play on the go. I think this is the best game console I've ever purchased. We could use with more base storage than 32GB but it has a memory card slot and you could save space by archiving games then re-download when you want to play them again. And if you only buy physical games then you would have no problems. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is such a good game and the graphics are beautiful.

The anticipation for the console was very real for me. After the reveal went live I made sure to pre-order this as soon as possible. While the pre-order was successful for me, it was a painful process that left me worrying about whether or not I would actually get the item. But that's beside the point. The system itself is amazing: I may be one of the lucky ones since I have no joy-con issues and my unit is completely flawless. The joycon shoulder straps are a little difficult to remove, so games like 1-2 Switch where you constantly have to put them on and remove them make me worry that the rails will deteriorate faster than normal. I did opt to get a different stand since the kick-stand is off to one side is prone to tipping over, but for a quick fix the kick-stand works just fine. Right now the Switch is basically a Zelda machine, and since there are fairly frequent updates, gameplay has been smooth and greatly improved. I did get to play the Splatoon test fire and I can tell that game will also be a hit on the Switch as well. Going from docked to handheld mode is as easy as it seems, no issues to report. There is a slight issue, though, of the console switching TV input modes while the Switch is off: when the Switch is docked and asleep, it still has a tendency to send a signal to our TV which makes the input change over to the Switch input. We've had to unplug the HDMI cable to alleviate this; I didn't really look into whether there was a fix for this or not. All in all, great price, great console, and I hear the Nintendo customer service is great as well.

I just wanted something similar to the old Nintendo from years ago with the Suoer Mario abd Zelda games. Pros: game can be played anywhere hand held or 2 of the 3 version's offered can Bluetooth to your television. Cin: the only thing u dont like is tou cant hold more than 10 item's to help you on your the journeys.

After owning a Switch for a couple months, I can say without a doubt that it is one of the best consoles I've ever owned. The portability is a lot better than I expected it to be, and the battery lasts long enough for a good game session. While there aren't many games out for the Switch yet, the ones that have been released are more than worth it. The eShop could be better, but it should be updated in the coming months.
