This system was created to have whole family fun as opposed to the hardcore gamer type that the Xbox and Playstation pro systems bring to the table. The ability to go mobile with the game system offers users game play anywhere and everywhere. Yes, the performance specifications are not on par with Microsoft or Sony, but sometimes you just want to play a game. It is great for novice gamers, but the challenge is also there for professional/advanced gamers.

Best purchase! So happy I got this before the pandemic. My girls love using it and I love the time they spend together on it. Highly recommend game system for any age.

I like the value and being able to play multiple ways on the same system. I used a capture card on my Retina iMac to play Zelda @ 60fps and it looks really good actually.

great console, easy to setup, favorite thing is the classic games from NES and SNES but you will have to get the yearly membership with is very cheap compared to other console services

This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for a 5 year old. It was easy to work and performed beyond our expectations.

I bought this for my 6-year-old son. He loves it. The versatility of being able to go from handheld to TV screen is great. He doesn't have to stop playing to take road trips which is extremely important to his 6-yo self. As a parent, I am disappointed that the Parental Control is only a notification and doesn't actually stop the use of the game system. We have to be on the honor system here so be aware.

It really is a great console. It's small, very portable, and it's graphics are amazing. Now here's where it turns into a critique... There's not much you can do with it... for now. It doesn't have a lot of well known games... yet. The main idea here is it was rushed for release in my opinion, either that, or they're spreading out the release of games too much. Not everyone likes Zelda and can hang with it for a month. When it finally has all of its bells and whistles, it'll be an awesome console, but for now it's just great. Battery life is also pretty bad, especially if you're playing a demanding game. This is a system that is very powerful. BE CAREFUL if you're buying a separate charger, because it needs to be a pretty powerful plug. You might be wondering why I gave this 4 stars and not less with all the critiques I gave, and that's because this console has lots of potential and promises from Nintendo, if everything falls through, this could be a 5 star console, so 4 stars for now. I'll update and edit this as more things get released for the switch... it could be a while... lol

it was a slow beginning but the past of the game increased and became fun to play.

ive only had the console for a little bit but so far its great. I bought it for pokemon (when it comes out) but have spent a considerable amount of time on Zelda. I haven't played it on the tv yet but as a handheld its a great system! only two complaints are that I wish the battery lasted a little longer and the right joy cons stick was higher up (after a while my thumb starts to get sore). all buttons on the joy cons are nice and "clicky" and the console itself isn't too heavy to get tiring.
