Got the new standard switch and just for the better battery makes this purchase worth it. We get about 2-3 more hours of battery life verses our slightly older switch

Purchased the Switch for our grandson. We were going to purchase the Lite but this is so much better. He is ablw to download the games so no concern with losing the little game cartridges. Graphics are really good and its nice that he can play with his mom. We did purchase a memory card to add more storage.

Although I would not recommend getting this system early I believe this is a great investment of my money as it has many promising games releasing later this year alone. Although not as powerful as other modern day consoles I believe it's portability more than makes up for it. The fact that two controllers come standard with each system is great for quick sessions of local multiplayer anywhere in games such as 12 Switch, Super Bomberman R, Fast Racing RMX, Shovel Knight, and many more.

Really like the switch for graphics and games. Not super ergonomic and the device gets heavy to hold after awhile. It plugs into the tv. Also uses standard USB C charger (so works with laptop charger as well). Long battery life. Need to get online plan to use all the features. We've had trouble with the Joy-cons, but Nintendo's warranty covered it.

This thing has been tons of fun the past several months of ownership (got it in May 2020 - revewing in Dec 2020). The only warning i'll give is - beware, it's EASY to go well beyond the $300 base price buying accessories and such. So plan out what extras you think you'll need (extra dock, pro controller, extra joycons, carrying case, online membership, etc). Still a good value overall. Also of note, in the 6+ months of ownership, i haven't had any joycon drifting issues. BUt i also don't use the joycons/handheld mode that often - mostly pro controller in docked mode.

I actually bought this for myself after my ex bought one for my son. I primarily play Animal Crossings but it is super easy to use and haven’t had any issues.

Purchased this as an option for my kids. I am the one who has been using it the most. Working great. Having the option to play on your TV set or on the go is just great

The new switch has a much longer battery life than the old one. Still has a great sleek design and can play all your favorite games on the go. Now you can just play them longer.

Brand speaks for itself. Haven't purchased a console new since the GameCube came out. Quite pleased with the Switch. Options for popular and indie games are a-plenty.

Nintendo is an expert in creating fun, think outside the box games. the system is perfect to entertain one person or several. Best buy delivered as promised.

Bought this for my son for Christmas last year. He loves it. Great to play at home on the tv or take it on the car on long road trips. Good variety of games.

Bought it for my daughter who is in her 20's. She loves it. The system is portable so you can play on tv and take on road. Great graphics and games are fun. The only thing I would say they could improve on would be the control that comes with it. Way too small for anyone who is average adult hands. Made for kids but if you want to appeal to adults I would say make bigger controller and lower price on system and separate controllers why high for $70.00 per controller.

I was skeptic at first of the Nintendo Switch but the design, large screen and exclusive Nintendo titles convinced me to purchase early into covid quarantine and boy was it worth the price! I’m an older-ish millennial video game fanboy who fell in love with Nintendo at an early age, then Sega and finally PlayStation. The Dreamcast amazed me as a youngin’ and is extremely underrated, then I got a GameCube and Wii which changed things of course and finally a PS3 and 4. Every company / console had its benefits and faults but the Switch is the least of the new wave or the gaming wars. I don’t even plug it into my TV tbh… the portable screen is just fine. I’m not tempted to get the new even bigger portable screen option *sigh*. I can bring it anywhere I want and plug-and-play which, let’s be real, the PS5 might have superior graphics etc but it can’t go with my in my backpack wherever. I’ll eventually give-in and get a PS5 when the demand / prize goes down but for now, the Switch is a boredom lifesaver. I just bought and finished the new Metroid Dread and was blown away at the quality. Sure, Nintendo might have less game output but the ones they do finish deliver in spades. A+++++++

I've only used the Switch as a portable and, for that, it is fantastic. Used to have a PSP and this is leagues better. Haven't noticed the battery issue as I almost always have access to a USB or outlet.

We got this for our son since he’s been wanting since for a very long time. He loves to play Splatoon 2 on this and it’s difficult for us to make him stop to take a break. I would give this five stars!

I bought this for my grandson and he loves it! He’s 10 years old and it was easy to find games that he likes. It’s portable and the graphics are great!

Who needs another rave review of the Switch? I've owned every major video game system and many minor ones since the early 90's, this one is solidly ahead of the pack but from strictly a hardware standpoint, I wouldn't put it on top. It does everything it promises to, but it's the least excited I've been for a console since well, I bought a WiiU. While I'm glad Nintendo made something that indie developers are able to port their games to, at this point I know I'm only ever buying a Nintendo console to play a handful of first party games. That experience so far, has been phenomenal, and recommending Zelda and Mario isn't necessary, that is why you're getting a Switch in mid-2018. But I can't help but feel like for $300 this is hard to recommend over a cheaper Xbox One S if I only had to have one system. It gets even harder to stomach when you factor in the $70+ controllers and the $60 Nintendo games that almost never go on sale. I suppose it depends on who you are, where you are in life and what you want out of a gaming console, but the Switch feels like a compromise as a portable system and as a home console. The system itself just doesn't have the same build quality that I would expect from Nintendo hardware, it reminds me of a cheap Android tablet. The Wii and WiiU felt like they were made with nicer build materials, the matte plastic all over this bad boy and the dock are just kind of stale. This is an easy 5 star at $200 which it will inevitably get to, but this version of the console feels like the original fat DS to me and I'm looking forward to the DS Lite equivalent for the Switch.
