This is better than the DS!! My kids left the DS in the dust.

Got this as a portable/stationary gaming console for my son. Nintendo has always been a great '1st Console' and I expect this will do just that as well as provide entertainment for the whole family

First of all, let me just recommend, if you've been stalking Best Buy's website to try and get hold of one of these, call stores instead. Seriously. Any time you're near one and have a free few minutes, try. I'd been waiting for a restock for weeks, hoping to snag one, and just happened to be two hours from home meeting a friend for lunch, and called the store next door to the restaurant. Imagine my absolute surprise when the gentleman on the phone said sure, they had a few in stock, but 'only' the neon ones. Only, he says. XD The battery is honestly its weakest point in my opinion, and that's only because I'm deep into Breath of the Wild, and with a game so demanding, the battery lasts at the low end of the range, at just about 3 hours. A good quality battery pack will fix that, but I won't be using it for those 12+ hour flights back and forth from NZ without having to stop and let it recharge, and hope I can find an available outlet at the airport to sneak in some extra gameplay. In docked mode, I've had no issues with overheating or scratches, and my screen protector's adhesive hasn't melted away or anything like that. Although I have to admit I play it in tablet mode far more often (once you get into the game, you really don't notice the screen size or resolution that much unless you purposefully *think* about it. It's more than sufficiently sized for as close as you'll be to it in handheld mode that you won't have any issues). In tabletop mode, I highly recommend investing in a little $10-20 tablet stand so 1. It sits sturdier than if you just used the kickstand 2. More options for viewing angles than just the one the kickstand provides and 3. You can charge it while you use it, because as I'm sure you know, the charging port is on the bottom, and so can't be used with its built in kickstand while charging. I understand why they put it where they did, so there would be no need for extraneous cables to plug into with the dock, but it is a little annoying in tabletop mode to have to pause for it to charge or switch to handheld. The tablet stand fixes that. The Joy Cons are surprisingly comfy to use independently of each other, one in each hand resting on the table or at your sides while playing games like Zelda, and while I may invest in the Pro Controller at some point just so I have it to use, or as a spare for friends for Mario Kart and the like, it's not necessary, for me anyway (Of course, I'm a female with average sized hands, your mileage may vary!) I've had no issues with the left Joy Con disconnecting, in fact the only time I've had issues was playing Mario Kart in handheld and the left controller unlatched from the tablet. Don't trust the little animations on the sides of the screens when you reattach them, they aren't always accurate. Make *sure* you hear the tell-tale click. All in all, I recommend this wholeheartedly. It's a solid system, it does what it says on the box, and I couldn't be happier with it.

I debated forever whether to purchase the Console or the Lite, I am so glad I purchased this one. I definitely use the connection to TV features more than I expected. It is also very lightweight as I'm sure the Lite is and it was very simple to set up. Excited for more games to enjoy!

My kid loves to play on the go and this is the perfect choice

Definitely do not regret this purchase. Love our switch. It’s the perfect reward for a child to complete a weeks worth of school without complaining to earn 1 hour of game play.

Great gaming device, we loved the product. If you are looking for some decent product under $300 then is for you. But the games are little bit costly.

Love this little console. It’s speedy, powerful and so versatile. Take it in your car, play it on the big screen, switch that stuff in a minute. Awesome!!! Mario Kart is so mich fun with the little wheels. Get it!

I bought this mostly for exercise. That being, RingFit and Fitness Boxing. Both have their pros and cons, but overall I am getting a good workout. There are many games on the side that are fun too, and with access to an online marketplace there are many cheap games to buy there too.

I own the Wii as well as the Wii U and I appreciate how Nintendo has always been geared towards kid and family gaming. Other systems out now have very little option for good games that are appropriate for young ones. My 8 year really enjoys the classic Nintendo games and as soon as the Switch came out he has been asking to get it so I finally gave in and happy that I did because he thinks it is amazing. He has already taken it to his grandparents house to play it with them, the whole portability feature is pretty cool really. I do wish it came with 2 controllers so I didn’t have to go spend quite a bit more for another set of joy-cons or the classic controller but that would be my only complaint about the Switch. I would buy this system again for sure!

My switch was broken and we couldn't get it fixed but best buy came to the rescue i got a new switch and oickmin 4 overall its also a good console for playing

The versatility of this machine is what drew me to purchase it. It sets up extremely quickly right out of the box. It is everything it is made out to be! You have the fun of a system you can play on your big tv and the option to take games with you on the go! Have had it opened since Christmas and have enjoyed it immensely! Highly recommend!

This console is perfect for the home family. Was able to take on a family vacation to see family and was the perfect mix of portable and stationary gaming. Top notch games and functionality.
