The Switch is great for all different ages and skill levels. I play Mario Maker 2 online with my 7 and 3 year olds a couple times a week. We all have a blast trying out different levels made by players all over the world.

So I’m glad I waited to buy a Switch because they improved the battery life on the improved Switch. I love to watch tv and play it handheld. The longer battery life is great for commuting/traveling, too! Really love it and so glad I bought it.

    Best portable system ever

The screen is great being both touch and a nice personal mini monitor for playing with the controller separately. It hooks right up to the television and looks great as well (although, don't expect it to be the same experience as a PS4 or XBOX ONE, but that's not what Nintendo is about - they are all about just having fun with video games). I definitely recommend getting this version over the lite portable standalone: 1. you can replace the controllers on this machine and 2. you can share with others 3. you can play it on the big screen. Saving $100 is not worth eliminating these advantages. The only thing I'm not crazy about with the Switch is the tiny analog controllers that are not nearly as comfortable as the XBOX and PS controllers. You can get alternative controllers to remedy this issue though.

Have always loved Nintendo consoles. Have definitely found myself playing it until 4 in the morning since it can be used handheld. The controllers are small but still easy to hold and I like that you can easily bring it with you anywhere

This was a Christmas present and it was probably the best one. Portable, yet powerful...and fun to boot. Just don't get too addicted to it. Great selection of games, but right now, Super Smash Bros. has been the game played the most.

We ended up buying three Nintendo Switch games as Christmas gifts for each family of our three adult children with grandchildren. I am sure they knew more about this game than I did, (I am 78), but I liked that it was also portable and each were gifted a case with it. All three families were surprised and delighted. One Nintendo was purchased online and picked up at the store; this is when we decided to get a third (l for each). I compliment the Nintendo Best Buy expert at the Best Buy, Brown Road, Auburn Hills, Mi, store as he was quick and most helpful. He ordered the 3rd for me from another store. I was most grateful for his assistance. I hear each family is enjoying playing the games during this Covid time.

The Nintendo Switch is easily the best Nintendo console in the last decade. Dozens of great triple-A titles and multiplayer games. The on-the-go or play at home features provide the consumer with convenient options.

Good console and best in its class and only one in the class. Best part is your kids can play together without fighting and portability. Offers good choices of games as well. Good for family with more than 1 kid.

Bought this as a Christmas Present for our children. They have alot of fun games that are age appropriate for our 8 and 11 year olds. It is also convienient that they can either use the handheld or play it off of the television.

What can you say about the Switch? It is amazing!! I got super lucky to get my order in when it became available. Did take a little long for delivery but during these crazy times that is now expected. Bought it together with classic title of Mario Kart. The graphics look amazing. Lag and load time is really fast. I do wish it wasn't so expensive but that's part of the deal i guess. And you only get one set of joy sticks which can be split and used by two people but not as fun. The fact you can remove the switch from its console and use it as a handheld device makes it almost worth the price. We have gone on a couple outings and the kiddo was able to play in the car with no issues and battery lasted for over 1.5hrs in the car. This really is a great system.

The Switch is a fantastic little console - and the first to get me back into console gaming after years of PC gaming. The selection of games is incredible (they really will put Skyrim on anything), and the docking feature is wonderful for gaming at home. It's obviously very portable as well so gaming on the go is simple and enjoyable. Some accessories are a must to make up for the shortcomings of the device. You will want a carrying case to protect your gear and tote around any physical games you collect. You will want an SD card for your digital media/games, because 32GB just isn't enough. Finally, buy a nice Pro or third party controller. If you have large hands there is nothing about this console, the Joycons, or even the Joycon grip that is ergonomic/comfortable. I suspect this is an issue for hands of all sizes, especially after extended use.

I was excited to get this but was even happier with the system than I expected. The versatility to play on the TV or handheld is well thought out and the range of available games makes this a real Winner.

The Nintendo Switch is hands down the best console I’ve ever owned. And it all comes down to one simple, yet profoundly unique aspect. Portability. The ability to take home console games on the go - to play anywhere I want in handheld mode - is worth more to me than the graphical prowess of the PS4/PS5 or Xbox One/Series consoles. The second reason why I love the Switch, portability notwithstanding, is the massive library of games. And while I can’t count how many times I hear “but they’re all just ports”, my first answer is: No. They’re not. And my second answer is: Ports are awesome. Bring everything to Switch. I mean, seriously, the amount of quality games one has to choose from for this console, in addition to the ability to play anywhere, is just insane. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2, Monster Hunter Rise, Persona 5 Strikers, Skyrim, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dragon Quest XI: S, Divinity: Original Sin II, Bravely Default II, Pokémon Sword & Shield, etc etc etc. In terms of this specific model, it’s fantastic and I’ve had no issues whatsoever — and I’ve been playing it for over a year or so now pretty regularly. I’ve noticed a big difference in the longer lasting battery life of this model versus the original launch model. Otherwise, that’s about all I’ve noticed as being a difference between the two. But hey, that’s fine by me as I primarily play handheld like 95% of the time. If you don’t care about the upcoming, inevitable Switch Pro model that will be likely to launch around Q4 2021 or sometime 2022, then I can’t recommend this model enough. It’s an amazing hybrid console and the hours you’ll get out of it will not only be massive in terms of quantity, but also in terms of quality due to the amazing and ever-growing library of games. Do it.

Great versatility. Hand held plus being able to connect to the TV. Also the new games for this console are great. Great battery life for a few hours of play time and easy to travel with of you have a travel case.
