I bought the console as a Christmas present for my son. We have two Wii and Nintendo DS that we have been using for years. The Nintendo Switch can be used like the DS, like a tablet or like the Wii. The controllers are like wiimote, they are aware of your movements, vibrate and make sounds but are way smaller. The "controllers" can be used like one big controller or two independent wiimote... to convert the former to the later it is like playing lego, you dissemble them. Every time, I hope I do not break them in the process because they are not cheap to replace. I wish that there was some form of backward compatibility but no. The wii games format is DVD, the DS some big cards and Switch another format... no way to reuse games from one console to another. We have bought three games and they are fun to play. Resolution is better and more playable. Versatile is what I liked, I can play on the TV or in the car. Not super impressed with the games yet... I found the console expensive when not on sale... Also be aware that if you have more than one kid, they might want each of them their own console. It is a good console for family games. Nintendo has a lot of options for kids and preteens. I will continue to use the WIi but I will not buy wii games equivalent on the switch. If you have a Wii and DS, try it before buying it. If you do not have a wii, buy it...

Great system, easy to use, long batter life, and just very enjoyable. Thought i wouldn't like the handheld version, but that's pretty much the only way i play.

The best benefit of the Nintendo Switch is you can play it on a TV or portable. $300 seems a fair price. Kids love them because you have a lot of Mario Bros. games.

LOVE the switch. It reminds me of the Gamecube console. Bringing me back to my youth. The remotes are obviously very small when holding them individually. It's a little uncomfortable but still works. I am also a little bummed that after a few years it does not have access to Netflix nor does it have disney+. Hoping that'll change in the near future.

Bought this gaming system as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend's son. It's the newer version with the extended battery life, and he loves it. Make sure to look up if you're purchasing the older or newer version of this system because it's not that obvious. Best Buy will offer Super Mario Bros Smash (a very popular game) as an incentive to buy the older version. But there's no writing on the box to say it's the older version. I believe the newer version is the one with the red box. Also, got this game system and a game delivered to my home. Delivery came on time with no issues. I loved it! Thanks!

Nintendo makes fun. This condole is the best thing from them since the N64, 24 years ago. Buy one of these when you can. It's special. You won't regret it.

A great product that offers so much entertainment and convenience for the price! The selection of games available for this console are great, and many are wholesome enough to enjoy as a family together. Who doesn't like playing a character like Mario one minute then doing Zumba the next? The upcoming games also look promising. I like this product a lot!

We recently purchased this console to be used by our 4 year old while we were on a cross country road trip. Thank God we were able to order this console and have it arrive a day before we left for our trip! What was supposed to be a week long trip turned into almost 3 weeks due to mechanical issues and transmission problems. This device kept our little one occupied and entertained while we were stressing out and trying to get our mechanical issues fixed. It definitely helped us keep our sanity and made the trip a bit easier for our son. Well done Nintendo! :)

I love the Switch. I got it for my son's birthday, but we enjoy it together. It's versatile, so we can play on our TV, or he can play by himself. I forgot how much I missed playing Mario Kart!

Love the option of docking the unit and displaying it on the tv. It’s very versatile. The battery runs for hours and it’s nice to have on those long road trips.

The switch is phenomenal. Hundreds of excellent games, portability, it's just fantastic. Favorite console of this generation. I don't travel without it.

The Switch is a good system to use as both home entertainment and entertainment on the road. Just make sure to get a large enough card for games.

Great game system, my daughter loves it! It is great whether to play handheld or connected to the TV to have family fun with multiplayer games.

Got this for an older person, not an expert gamer. The machine is easy to learn how to operate. The controls are clear as to function. It can be used on a TV with the enclosed HDMI cable or as a handheld game. Easy to connect to the TV. Can purchase games on physical chips which can be switched out for other games. By joining the Nintendo club games can be downloaded to the machine and are always available to play without manually changing the game disc. Some games are free and others are at greatly reduced prices. The most popular cost list price. Overall, it is a fine machine.

I absolutely love this thing! I bought a Switch thinking it might be a good coping mechanism for the ongoing pandemic quarantine and boy was I right. I'm not a gamer, haven't played in years since my kids were little, but now I'm obsesses with Mario Kart and Animal Crossing and this little system is so much fun to use. It's great to have the option to carry it around and play it and it's really comfortable in your hands. It's also nice to dock it and play on the TV for multiple players and for a larger screen. If you can find one in stock, don't hesitate - buy it!!

I held out on not buying the first version of the switch and I'm glad I did. I forgot about the switch and had a nostalgia wave one night of Zelda. So being a grown adult I decided to order a switch and cannot stop playing. The improvements over the old switch seem to be the battery life, screen brightness, joycons (minor change), and the screen color accuracy 6700K. I notice I was getting distracted from daily home chores so I had to pull back unfortunately. It works, and Best buy had my order ready to go less than an hour. I recommend it for sure it you do not already own a switch.

Fun family entertainment. Easy to set up and use. The only thing that is an issue is storage. Make sure you get a memory card right away.

Good system for home or on the go gaming. Not as powerful as the competition, but it doesn't need to be. The games from Nintendo are really fun.
