I bought this for my 6-year-old son. He loves it. The versatility of being able to go from handheld to TV screen is great. He doesn't have to stop playing to take road trips which is extremely important to his 6-yo self. As a parent, I am disappointed that the Parental Control is only a notification and doesn't actually stop the use of the game system. We have to be on the honor system here so be aware.

Excellent console, very good games and the fact that it is a hybrid help to be able to play your great games everywhere. I am happy and also a good promotion that came with a $ 30 gift card

As a college student, many of my friends have a Switch. I thought Nintendo had mostly lost its touch for older audiences apart from party games. I couldn't be more wrong. The new Nintendo games are still amazing, Nintendo opening up to 3rd parties like Sony and Microsoft do has worked well and the switch itself is amazing. Satisfying to play, hold, or put in my TV. I love the "play how I want" idea. I have console power wherever, it's all I could want as a gamer.

Overall, it’s a great system. I enjoy the games and the controls are better than I thought. That said, there are a lot of accessories needed to make this thing safe for play/travel. You need a screen protector for the touch screen otherwise it won’t last long. I would recommend a protective case/grip case for travel or just for when it’s not in its dock. The controls are fine, but they are not really comfortable and don’t have a good grip. I would recommend a higher GB memory card as this will quickly fill up the standard 32 GB memory card, especially if you download games and the DLC content. Overall, I was careful with my purchases for this and the games. I made sure to shop the deals. I even made sure to try and buy the store brand/generic accessories to keep cost down. When all was said and done. I spent close to an additional $100 dollars on accessories just to make this safe/last a while. Great system, great games. It’s fun for both my family and I (when I am home we can play it together and I can play it on my commute while on the train). But there are several hidden costs if you want to take care of this system properly.

This console has an excellent selection of games and being able to take it on the go makes it so much more worth it

Got it at the mid night release with Zelda and a pro-controller and have yet to put it down. If you are more of an Xbox/ps4 gamer you really will want to go with the pro-controller bcuz the one that comes with it is Big and clunky and just isn't that good the joy-con controllers by themselves on the actual Switch system aren't bad and I've got pretty use to them while gaming on the go. If you love Nintendo and Zelda this is a must have, if not wait til more titles are released bcuz right now choices are very limited.

Love this system and the fact that i can be starting a game out on the TV and then undock the system and take my game on the road. Having a baby makes this really convenient to be able to game on the go! I didn't experience some of the screen bleeding issues others have suggested and so far have not had any issues with the hardware itself. The only thing is the joy cons if using them for 2 player games like Mario Kart are a bit small so I'd recommend just getting another set of joy cons to use.

I love the switch. I picked it up day one and have been dabbling with all of the various games ever since. Nintendo is still the master of high quality games and this is the perfect console to play them on with its flexibility to be a contending home console or a high end portable console when you need it. The joy cons are pretty cool technology too with all they are capable of, but for long periods of gameplay, I'd recommend snatching up a pro controller as well. Now for a cautionary tale. BE WARY OF THIRD PARTY DOCKS!! I got a Nyko switch dock that worked fine for me right up to the latest firmware update, and now my original switch is bricked and all of my original save data is gone. Nintendo definitely charges an absurd amount for their first party docks, but $70/$80 is far better than another $300 and losing your progress in all of your games. I still love the switch, and if you are cautious (and if nintendo catches up with the times and learns about cloud saves) you are sure to have a great time with this console.

This is the second Nintendo Switch, last one was damage and the BestBuy extended warranty worked excellent, my kid love the Nintendo Switch, and I love the BestBuy warranty.

Bought this for my family for Christmas and I love it. It has brought back a lot of games from my youth and is super fun to play. Wish the games weren't so pricey for it.

Battery life is awesome. Games are great. The wifi will not work past 15 feet from my router on 2.4 or 5 ghz.

First I have to say this is somewhat expensive, considering Mario kart game is pretty simple in terms of design and graphics, but still cost as much if not more than more complex games found on ps4. Neverthrless, once you can look past the cost, this is one of the few technology items nowadays, that allows the entire family to interact with each other, which is priceless. Rather than each person looking at their own smartphone, now everyone can have fun on the same screen.
