The true standout in the modern console era

Full disclosure: I've been a Nintendo Fanboy all of my life. When the Switch was announced, I knew I wanted one. I was lucky enough to snag one through Best Buy. It is truly my favorite console right now. It provides such a clean and crisp on the go presentation, but still has enough power to be a home console. This is not a jack of all trades, master of none. Nintendo worked hard to make a console that's enjoyable both at home, and on the go, whether you play by yourself or with other people.

I love my nintendo switch! It has been awesome to see the game library continue to grow throughout this year. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year! Don't waste time reading reviews, go buy one already!

Admittedly, I was skeptical about a combo handheld and console, but the transition between the two phases is seemless and amazing. The gameplay is fun and intuitive, and the motion controls are a nice added bonus.

The options available while playing on the Switch are fantastic! I love the option to be able to play in a hand held mode or to "Switch" to playing on the television. The joy-cons are a little pricy while buying separate, but when you factor in the amazing technology, the joy-cons can do so much. The Nintendo Switch has so many different types of games, both for children and for adults.

I'm an avid console guy and I love the 3DS. I thought this was GOING TO BE a super "tablet" experience, but it's far from that. It's a nintendo experience just like the wii where everything is kinda just magical.

The Switch is an excellent product, the ability to use the console on a TV or on its own works exactly as advertised and is extremely convenient. Software right now is slim-pickings, but Breath of the Wild may be one of the greatest games ever made, which makes up for an otherwise lackluster launch line-up. The console itself was a lot smaller than I expected, which seemed worrying at first but in practice still ended up being extremely comfortable despite being someone with decently large hands. Out of the box you get the two joycons (mini controllers on the sides of the screen), a grip that emulates the feel of a traditional controller and 2 wrist straps. The ability to break off each joycon to allow for multiplayer works better than you think it would (especially so in Snipperclips), provided you have the wrist straps attached which give more heft to the side buttons (which without the straps are nearly impossible to hit, making them somewhat mandatory). While I was unable to use a Pro Controller, the comfort grip boxed in works well enough. Personally, I played nearly all of my 60+ hours of Zelda with one joycon separated in each hand, which was insanely comfortable. The UI is the quickest out of any modern console. Home screen is snappy and game resume/suspend is instantaneous. Online functionality seems rather limited at the moment, but that's rather typical of Nintendo console launches. Overall it's a great system, though beware of the left joycon desync issues. While they weren't persistent enough to become an actual issue, it did occur enough to be noticeably irritating. The problem seemed to get worse when playing with my feet propped between the controller and the console or when my laptop was near me. Hopefully these issues will be fixed, but it currently seems to be a widespread issue (though it doesn't occur in handheld mode, only docked). I would definitely recommend it once it has some more software. Splatoon 2 is out soon and Mario will make a great holiday title. Solid launch all around.

What can I say, the switch has rave reviews across the board. Obviously it doesn't have the power of the PS4 or XBO, but what it can do is offer a great gaming experience at home or on the go. Our household also has a neon model, but I feel much better about using the gray model out in public. Build quality and battery life are great.

If you want to game on the go this is your ticket. I've. Been an xbox gamer since the 1st one and have been a gamer for about 15 years. When I bought it I was unsure if I was actually going to like it I had watched some YouTube reviews and read a few things on it so I thought I would give it a shot and I'm definitely happy I did. Unfortunately you can't play n64 games on it yet but lots of people clam its coming. But the new zelda breath of the wild is amazing

I always loved playing Nintendo. I got this system for me and my kids because we played it at the store and got hooked for a lil over a hour. This system is one you can play with the whole family at any family event. Loved this system so much i made my cousin buy her kids one. I will also get another one because it's also hand held. The only thing is connecting the controllers is complicated at times but once you get past that part the fun times begin

Nintendo switch 32gb console. My son preferred this over the lite version because of the joy-con. Plays this with his friends alot. Seems like a good quality game.

I enjoy playing games with my kids, this system is a lot of fun. I lucked up on buying this nintendo switch right before christmas as it was out of stock everywhere. I continued to check the best buy app and one day it was available so I quickly purchased it with no hesitation. I'm glad I did because within the next 15mins it was showing out of stock again.

I have minor issues with the Switch, but for the most part I really like it... and there are some really awesome titles available for it, which I have been thoroughly enjoying. (I recommend Breath of the Wild the most, but also Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!) My biggest issue isn’t with the system itself, but with accessories... the real moneymaker for the Switch. There is so much not included that is necessary to make the Switch experience truly great, and you’ll spend upwards of $200 or more on all of that... most of which are plastic add-ons. It also could have a better docking system; to connect to a TV you need to haul the dock around, which is far less convenient than if Nintendo sold a simple USB-C multiport adapter to HDMI and AC for travel use. (Third-parties make those, but can they be trusted?) But as for the system itself, all my complaints are very minor. (The Joy-Con straps feel cheap and breakable, for one, and the bezels on the Switch are MASSIVE)
