I wanted a system that would play games, and that's what I got. The graphics are outstanding (for Nintendo), the controller is comfortable, and the battery life is acceptable. I haven't had any problems with it and can't wait for more games to come out, since I'm done with Breath of the Wild.

Despite not having a lot of launch titles, the switch is fantastic. Great portable and docked device that is truly a console/portable hybrid! Minor issues with Joycon syncing and frame rate drops, but you can take a dull Loz game on the go. Really looking forward to Mario kart on the plane!

The Nintendo Switch is a much better overall gaming system than I expected. I was thinking it would be good for mobile gaming but didn't expect the video and performance to be on par with the PS4 and Xbox One. If you can only afford to get one system, and if you can find it, get this one!

Set up fairly easy. Confusing to power off. Joy-Con wrist straps are hard for a child to tighten themselves. Also wrist straps hard to remove from Joy-Cons when correctly installed. Probably my biggest dislike is the screen lag when playing Zelda on the TV. REALLY annoying at times but good picture quality otherwise and it's not an issue when playing on the device. My kids don't mind the controllers but they are uncomfortable in my big paws (though I've adapted some). I am constantly pushing in on the control sticks by accident . I see a Pro Controller in my future. Quality seems not as good as I expect from Nintendo but luckily /so far not having all the issues being reported. Dock is goofy, cheap and seems poorly done. Not as kid/user friendly as I would expect from Nintendo. Why no Gorilla Glass? Seriously, I'd pay $25 not to have a plastic screen we have to baby. That said the touchscreen sensitivity is excellent compared to other devices. Would I recommend the Switch? Hesitantly and with stipulations. If you're a huge Nintendo fan and you need/want portability; sure. For family, with young kids for a home gaming machine?... Maybe, but I still prefer the Wii U for ease of use with kids under 10. If you're concerned about the quality then I'd hold off and see how things play out. Overall I'd say this is next Gen in portable gaming but so far not a replacement for the Wii U as a family/home console.

Literally the only bad thing I can say about my switch after a year of having it is that the battery life isn’t the greatest. When using as a handheld it tends to only last a couple hours. Also that sometimes during play of during charging depending on what you’re playing or how long the device has been running as a handheld, it can get pretty warm to the touch. Nothing too hot. Just enough for annoyingly sweaty palms. Though when using as the console setup, I’ve experienced much longer battery life for the joycons.

Great gift for a 7 yr old. Good way to learn hand eye co-ordination

Being a heavy gamer and owning other platform I generally use the switch when on the go. Travel easy. Durable (but don’t go throwing it) and the games that come with it are fun and fun for everyone. Great for parties or small gatherings or just having fun with friends.

Great! My nephews absolutely love It! We are having trouble getting it connected to wi-fi though.

Even though PS5 and XBOX have much superior processing power and performance , the portability of a switch just offers some unique experiences. Would like to see some of the popular titles on this platform too. hopefully soon.

Very awesome console. I have had no issues at all. The sound is good, the battery is great, the quality is awesome, and it's definitely a well made console. Definitely recommend picking up a Nintendo Switch!!!

Great console. This is the 3rd one I have purchased. One for each of my sons and this one for the living room. Great for family game nights. Mario Party, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Additional memory card purchased with this item. The only problem is the joy cons tend to break after a while. I have bought a few wired controllers that connect trough the USB ports and don’t have a problem with those. I chose not to get the new model because this one is not used as a portable console it’s strictly for the living room play on the TV. I recommend getting the OLED if you are getting it for both as the screen is a little bigger and better quality pic.

Like it better as a hand held .Small controllers but easy to use.Wish there were more games but understand there will be more on way. LOVE the Tetris demo
