I bought it for my kids last Xmas and since I liked it so much I end up getting my own.

This system is so much fun. Would have been nice if Nintendo gave a price break for the holidays.

Unlike the Wii, which made me think "hmmm- I can totally see how I could play like this," the Switch makes me think "how have we not been playing like this forever?" The ability to seamlessly switch between handheld mode and TV mode- in the house and on the go mode-is a revelation. Currently, the total number of titles is low, but Zelda is a no-brainer.

It is a good system for kids to get started with video games. I love the MARIO games

I've owned the Switch for almost two years now and, honestly, I don't use it much. Most games that come out are better served using either a PC or a PS4/Xbox. So, if you are considering a Switch, be aware that it's primarily for exclusive titles- of which there aren't *that* many. On a technical level, the Switch isn't that great. In docked mode it tends to overheat during long sessions, which, I believe, caused some minor graphical glitches in some games I've played. I don't know if playing a docked mode will decrease the system's lifespan, but overheating is never a good thing. The joycons that came with it have also had some problems. The right joycon's stick is starting to suffer from drift, and the Y button on the left joycon is sometimes unresponsive. It's strange to me to have such technical problems from such an expensive device, since I've owned I don't know how many controllers from other systems and never had this issue before. Buttons may get sticky, but I've never had a controller become unresponsive or start drifting. When the Switch is undocked, the battery is paltry. The whole idea is to be able to pick it up and take it around- and you can, but only for a few hours. Apparently, the newer model's battery lasts a little more, but not by that much. If you're going anywhere away from the charging station, you need to take the charging cable with you- of which there is only one. You either plug it into the charging dock, or you unplug it and take it where you need to. It's pretty cheap that they don't even include a second charging cable, considering how annoying it is to unplug it from the dock. Overall, the console isn't that great. Outside of playing a few exclusive titles, it has very few apps on it. Netflix still isn't on it, neither is Disney+. Combined with the physical technical problems the console seems to suffer from, I just can't recommend this to anyone that isn't a rabid Nintendo fan.

My kids love this system. We love it because of the classic games from our childhood.
