I bought this for my son and he has played the heck out of it (mainly Breath of the Wild). The portability of the system has been excellent and it we want to put it on the tv it is extremely easy. The joy cons are pretty small but seem to work nicely. The only negative I can see so far is the placement of the joy stick on the right controller seems a bit to far down. Overall it seems like a great system so far.

My son loves his new Switch along with Nintendo Smash Bros. for his birthday. My daughter has one too with an account for him but she would hardly have him touch it. It was a easy to transfer his account from my daughters to his. Now they have fun one each other's Switch. Thank You Best Buy for having it on hand.

So far I am still playing Zelda and loving every minute of it. I cant get over how great it is as a handheld. I love being able to play on the big screen and if I am going somewhere I can just pick up the system and keep playing as I walk out the door. The screen is fantastic for its size. I put a protector on the screen just incase of scratches. I couldnt be happier with nintendo right now.

I’m so glad I got a chance to get this once it was in stock again. I got one for my boyfriend Christmas 2019, the same color and everything. Both work the same, and look the same. Some reviews I read were negative but I didn’t see any problems with it. Also, it was the same price as when I bought it the first time. No extra cost

As I get older and responsibilities continue to take over my gaming time it's been harder and harder to commit to long term RPG and extended story line games. BUT the Nintendo switch lets me take that experience on the road and play daily on my commute and make progress without weeks in between sessions but still take the experience to the big screen in the comfort of my home when time permits! Amazing system!

I've been a huge Nintendo fan for awhile. I've always really enjoyed portable gaming and this system has been perfect for me. In another year, when this system has a huge library, it could quite possibly be my favorite system of all time. Playing games on the tv and handheld mode has just been awesome. It's absolutely seemless. If you have the cash to spend and haven't touched Zelda yet, do it. Like yesterday.

    A rough launch

Console launches are always a little rocky and it basically comes down to buying on future potential. For the switch, the game lineup is completely barren outside of Zelda and it's looking like the next notable games won't be until summer (splatoon 2) and later this year (mario odyssey). So if you're a potential buyer right NOW, the question boils down to how badly do you want to play Zelda? Because as awesome as that game is, it's likely all the action your switch will see for months. As for the actual hardware it's hard to recommend right now as many things on it feel half baked or shortsighted. For example the docking bay comes with no padding on it and it can lead to small scratches on the border of the screen if you're not careful (and sometimes even if you are). You also have to hope your dock isn't bent inwards near the top like many people seem to be getting, which enhances the chances of scratches happening. The lone kickstand on the back of the tablet feels flimsy and since there's only 1 it doesn't offer the best balance. Looking at the back they could have easily fit a 2nd kickstand parallel to the other which would have improved this issue a lot. The operating system right now is basically just there. There's very few online or social features that you likely have grown to expect thanks to the other consoles and while this may be fixed in future updates there's no way to be certain with Nintendo. They have a rep for being a little behind the times in this area. It's not all bad though. For all the issues the system has, one thing it does right is arguably the most important thing and that's the portability of the console. I can play zelda on my TV and take the tablet out of the dock and the game immediately transitions to the tablet so I can keep playing. The ads didn't mislead here, it really does work and it's hard to say it's not impressive. A lot of the problems with the console can be fixed over time, but if this didn't work without caveats then the system would be doomed as it's the entire idea behind the Switch. The fact that the swapping out works so well, and that Zelda really is a game that needs to be experienced, is why I put 3 stars instead of 1 or 2. If you're ok with the game lineup for 2017 then I'd say it's ok buying the system now.

So far I am really happy with the Switch, which I pre-ordered along with Zelda through Best Buy and picked up on launch day. The system was virtually plug-and-play right out of the box, and the initial system update and game load times with the Switch are virtually instantaneous, compared to the nightmarish update/load times of the Wii U. The system itself is sleek and looks great docked, and when playing portable, it is easy to handle and not heavy. That being said, not sure I want to take it out of the house, given the cost. I do not think it is really fair to review at this stage, with such a sparse launch-day lineup of games, with no pack-in title or much downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop. Thus far I am enjoying Zelda, and have found it hard to put the system down. So I'll give 4 stars, and hope for more content soon!

I love the Nintendo Switch but the new version w/ the extended battery has a slightly cheaper screen. It has this weird effect where I can see the horizontal lines of pixels, almost like it's interlaced. It's a problem that very few people notice, but if you have good vision close up, it is noticeable. I bought five Switches trying to find one that didn't have this weird effect. I wish I would have kept my old launch Switch now because I never play the Switch anymore because of this screen. 90% of people don't notice what I am talking about, so buy this amazing console w/o fear. But beware those of us nerds who are extremely detail oriented.

I’ve been search for a Nintendo Switch for quite some time. There are so many games I want to play to relive childhood memories but the console was sold out for the majority of this year. Covid really impacted it. I’m lucky I found one. I’m beyond satisfied with my switch. It’s a console and a handheld when I need it. Extremely worth it.

What more can you ask for from a system? HD games on your TV? Got it. HD games on the go? Just pick it up and start playing. An amazing library of both new & classic titles? Yep, got that too! I've been a Nintendo player since the original NES and this system satisfies both my new & retro needs. Overall, the best Nintendo console to come out since the SNES!
