Not a must have console, but still pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you are the biggest Nintendo fan and somehow don't yet own a Wii U, or you are lucky enough to have to find one and have money to burn, I would wait until there's a mark down for the Switch. That isn't to say that the console's bad though. It functions rather well as both a home and handheld console, with the exception of it's battery life while handheld, and considering their size, the controllers feel rather comfortable in my fairly big hands. I find it hard to recommend going on that long arduous hunt for one though because it suffers one of the biggest problems that the Wii U: there are hardly any games to play on it, let alone good ones. That's subject to change, but as of now, you'll most likely be stuck playing the 1 or 2 good games currently out for a while. Like I said, if you happen across one, and have both curiosity and $300 to drop, I'd get it. Otherwise, feel free to wait until Christmas

kids love it, but joy con didn't last long

It was replaced (one time only) without having to use our extended warranty - evidently a lot of folks have had the same problem. The replacement was quick and easy.
