Nintendo's greatest handheld console... which also doubles as a decent home console. It's not even been a year since the Switch has released, and there are already a vast, diverse assortment of games to choose from (and more to come), 1st party & 3rd party alike; and many of them are top tier, GOTY contenders. Being able to play all these AAA style games on the go, is a dream come true, and for the most part the hardware handles them well. Some of the more modern 3rd Party titles like "Doom" look a bit blurred/low res when docked/on the TV; but actually look pretty good when scaled down on the switched 6.2" screen. 1st party titles seem to scale better on the TV when docked; many at or near 1080p. My only real complaints as of now are software/OS related - NINTENDO, give us CLOUD SAVES/BACKUPS - Virtual Console - & built-in online that doesn't require an additional tablet/phone.

This was a great purchase! My kids loved it. Hope more new games are available soon

What's not to like about the Switch?! We did have an issue with pickup and incorrect notification being sent but in the end it worked out.

Nintendo makes great games and now i can play at home on the TV or when i am out.

this machine is impressive, the design is sturdy and classy. love the joycons, and being able to play co-op without the need of additional controllers because THEY COME WITH THE UNIT! . what a best way to entertain yourself and when i want to leave the house or move around i just undock the console instantly and keep playing. the best purchase ive ever made.

Wonderful console capable of handheld gaming on the go. It's the perfect blend of both options. I primarily do my gaming at home, but the ease of taking it outside or bringing it with me when I travel has been a pleasure. I've owned it for more than a year, and my favorite aspect is being able to easily include other people in on games with the detachable joy cons controllers and the overall versatility of the console.

I'm only reviewing digdug since this is the only game I have played and the only reason I bought it. Plusses: It is exactly like the arcade game look wise you can set it to have three or five lives (and you'll need the extra lives after reading the negative) Unlike the Wii version if you turn the game off you can resume the highest level you played next time you play it. The BIG negative is the navigation is awful. Especially at the higher levels. Works great in the WII version but on this version the joy sticks don't navigate correctly all the time. I've even tried buying a third party larger joystick and using the arrow keys instead of the joystick on both that and the original controllers with no luck.

The Nintendo Switch has been even more awesome than I expected. I initially thought the joy cons were too small, but after playing with them for a while, especially attached to the switch, they feel great! I actually play Zelda in handheld mode more often than I play it docked, which is the opposite of what I expected it to be. It really is the perfect combination of a handheld device and a living room console. Superb job Nintendo! Keep it up!

Absolute Fun! Great selection of games and bunch of Eshop indie games for under $20. Kids love it.

I'm never a gamer but the pandemic had me to get this along with some other games hoping to move along (Ring fit and the dance game), i added few more games and Yoshi is my daughter's favorite. we did not purhcase an extra console controller, I like how some games let you split the controller so we dont need to purchase an additional one

We have greatly enjoy this product. Great graphics and game play. My boy is looking forward to getting smash bros and the legend of zelda to play next.

The console itself is great! Runs good, loads fast, and the games are awesome! However, the red controller “A” button only works about 90% of the time when it’s pressed down.

I’ve always been a Nintendo fan, especially for their portable consoles. So when I saw they came out with a hybrid portable console I knew I wanted it. I waited till the library of games had built up enough and pulled the trigger. The variety of games for the console is its strong suit. It has everything from original games and Wii U ports all the way to great indie titles and amazing pc ports. The only criticism I have is the joy cons are awkward. The work ok for single player but are almost unusable for multiplayer. Portable mode is the only time I find myself using them. Otherwise I use a power a controller (similar to the Nintendo pro controller). This makes gaming sessions on the tv far more tolerable. If you’re a Nintendo fan this is a must have. If you’re not it makes a pretty decent alternate console for gaming on the go.
