I now bring this with me when I work. Have just the right pouch to fit all the essentials. I take it out between breaks and play a couple parts. And instead of waiting in traffic for an hour, I play this before leaving work, so I lose no game time, and I avoid the traffic. People can say “I can do this with my DS or phone or PS Vita, etc” but those devices never felt like they had the power of an actual console. I’ve played with a switch before owning one. It didn’t feel special and at the time, choices of games were very minimal. I felt like it really wasn’t worth the money then. Now having own one, and just swapping between “on the go” to playing on my big screen... it finally clicked why this console was so great. It is like the feeling you never really get until you own it and the capability becomes “the new norm”. The only thing holding this console back is probably still the library of games. Fun must-have/unique switch only games would be what I’d like to go for. (But I’m well invested in what little I have so far. Lack of games not an issue for me) Because for me, I have the PlayStation 4 as well and to be honest, if a game is on both systems, I’ll be getting the PS4 one. But only because I feel like I’m getting more for the PS4 than the switch. (There is a trophy system afterall, plus most of my friends play on PlayStation). I never thought I’d be able to carry the full (or almost full) power of a sedentary console in such a light and quick package. This console is several times what the Vita aspired to be and drastically failed to do, (which I also own) and I can only expect great things to come portabilitywise from Nintendo. To attest its use, I’ve also bought LoZ:BotW, and logged over 110 hours in the first 2 week’s owning this console. If you need an upgrade for portable console gaming, then this is almost a no brainer

So glad I was finally able to find a switch console! Between always being out of stock and the high price, I had been holding off. Made the right decision! It’s amazing!

Debated between the switch and the switch lite. There are so many more options for playing with friends, and hand held versus hooking up to TV. So glad I chose the Switch.

Bought it as a birthday gift and my nephew has yet to out it down.. He really likes Mario and the graphics are really good! I love the versatility and the different ways you can play

I can’t believe it took me so long to purchase a Switch. I’m not the most adamant gamer so often times I find myself leaving games unfinished on other consoles or even struggling to find something to play. The switch has a plethora of amazing games to choose from which won’t just tire you out after a few weeks, but keep you coming back during any free time you have, and with the portability, that gives you even more ways to enjoy.

Bought this for my teen daughter and she has so much fun sharing/ playing with her friends! I love that it can be handheld or connected to TV for playing games as a family!

My son loves his switch! It is easy to use and is great for someone of his age. Loads of educational games on it too!! Has access to Hulu! Couldn’t be more happy with this product

Purchased this system as a family gift. Every one enjoys playing with it. The games have great graphics and we love the portability of this system as we are able to take it on road trips to keep the kids busy.

The original switch was already a good system. But the battery upgrade that this new model has makes the new switch the one to buy. More useful for long trips due to extended battery.

I was just trying to find a switch to play the new Pokémon and with the product being scarce I finally got one after searching for a month and I was not disappointed I love it

Kids love it. We love it. Controller splits in two and can be used by two kids. If one kid is using the TV, system comes out of base and can be played on its own. Absolutely no reason to fight over anything...

The game itself works fine! However I think it's a rip off that the games are not on there and that I have to buy cartridges! That are not cheap! And you have to buy a memory card! For the price of the game it all should have came together! You should be able to go to the play store and download what u want! Now my son has to wait another month to get a $50 game!!

My 9 y.o. son also has a Switch Lite, but hasn't even touched it since he got his Switch! He loves the multi-player feature, and loves to play with Dad using the joycons!

First things all, the Nintendo Switch is a home console capable of being taken outside with you wherever you go, at any time of the day. This makes it extremely unique from all the other entries in the video game industry. While it may not be as "powerful" as its competitors, I'm very, very amazed to see that this tiny device is capable of pushing out the graphics at high resolutions. Breath of the Wild looks amazing on it! The system's controllers, known to all as the Joy-Con, are two halves that make up a whole, or can be used separately in certain games if you so like. There is a Pro Controller option for those who wish to game for extended periods of time and need a little more comfort hitting those buttons. The Joy-Con is very small- its buttons are very much in line with those on the New 3DS systems. There is also a Joy-Con grip accessory to help those with holding onto the Joy-Cons and using all of their buttons efficiently. Last but not least, using the system by itself and on the TV screen is as simple as night and day! Simply place the console into the included dock and BAM! The Switch will start displaying images on the TV after a very short delay. Simply remove the Switch from the dock to swap to portable/tabletop mode. The console charges on the dock or using the AC adapter directly attached via the USB-C connector. The Joy-Con can be charged by leaving them attached to the Switch while it is charging.
