I had been wanting a switch for a hot minute, and finally gave in on my birthday to get one, with Animal Crossing New Horizons coming out. I would have gotten the Animal Crossing style one, but it was completely sold out for a while by then, so I opted for this one. The battery life is amazing, and compared to my little brother's switch (he has the 1st version), mine lasts way longer. The joy cons are super easy to use, and I love that I can play on the TV or on the console itself with the screen. The colors are gorgeous, and the system itself is very user friendly. It was important to me that I'd actually play on the switch before buying. I am in no way a gamer, and actually struggle a lot with games, because I stress out or don't know what to do. I currently have Zelda: Breath of the Wild (favorite game right now, definitely get it as your first), LA Noire, two of the Lego games, Stardew Valley, and Civilizations VI. So far, I have enjoyed playing all of these games on the switch, and have used my switch quite a bit since picking it up. The use will definitely go up once Animal Crossing comes out. Overall, I am in love with this system, and definitely think it is worth the $300 price tag. I wish it came with a portable charger and a basic case, but other than that, it's fabulous!

This was a replacement for seldom used Switch that was purchased in December; original unit would no longer charge. I was very disappointed that I had too purchase a new two (2) year warranty for one that had only been in affect for five (5) months. From a customer service perspective, I think the costs of the new warranty should be prorated of the remaining life of the original warranty; will see how long this one lasts.

I have personally been attached to many different games that have taken me hours upon hours to finish. They have all helped me relax, release all of my stress, and have all put a smile on my face. There are even many cross-platform games, meaning that you can play with your friends who have a different console than you do. More and more games are being released every day, all of which can be purchased on the device itself, and are adding to the already massive game library. This great game assortment is definitely worth noting, and helps establish a foundation of why the game console is so good. MY BEST BUY CREDIT CARD WAS USED ILLEGALY AND THIS WAs PURCHASED AND PICKED UP WITH NO ID CHECK FROM BEST BUY STAFF. I KEEP GETTING EMAILS TO REVIEW ITEM. I was told I would get a phone call from the store to press charges and no one has called me. After numerous calls made to them. Stay away from Best Buy.

son has had it for less then 1 month. One of the handles doesnt clock in place anymore. will be retruning the items for a new one

portability is ok for what it is but this console is overpriced and late getting normal games.

Minnie version of the larger game units, WII, Xbox, PS2. Will not play Disc as others will. High priced for what it is capable of.

It’s a fun tool but that is my second one because the first one stopped reading the cartridges out of the blue. Soo annoying.

I am loving the Switch so far! First thing-there’s a nice weight to it. I was worried it was going to be too lightweight as it is supposedly 13% lighter than the 3ds xl. It’s not heavy but it’s not light to where it feels cheap. So I’m happy with that. I love the different ways you can play as well. You can play it as a handheld, you can remove the joy con controllers and basically use the switch screen as your tv, or slide the switch into the dock and play from your tv. I personally will probably be playing it more as a handheld/portable console. I’ve never really been crazy about playing from my tv. Also , I know a lot of people have been saying there’s not really a lot of games to choose from. I honestly think they have a good collection so far especially being a newer console. I’ve gotten Mario Kart 8 and Mario Odyssey so far and they are amazing. The picture is so clear. And they both so fun. I plan on getting Zelda and Skyrim next. I’m really hoping this console continues to do well and doesn’t flop like the Nintendo Wii U. I’d love to see a full Pokémon game and an Animal Crossing hit the Nintendo Switch as some point. This is probably my favorite console so far. It’s so much fun! I really only have one con so far and that is the price of extra joy con controllers. About $80 ! Wild. Not a huge deal but definitely a bummer. Other than that though I have nothing bad to say. Awesome job, Nintendo!

Interface is complicated to use bya 6 years old. Where does it turn off?

Great graphics, good performance, wonderful packaging and easy to follow instructions when setting up the switch. All in all, something I'm considering for getting my brothers' as my experience with it is great.

Was super excited to get the game but ran into immediate obstacles. Mine came without an instruction manual. I thought? Huh! Now they don't even print that? I used YouTube to hook it up with many calls to Xfinity and Nintendo. The joysticks fit awkwardly into the holder... Which doesn't power them anyway so either don't have it or have it as a charger port. Overall rating is Poor.

went thru the setup process and it would not view on tv, defective dock per geek squad.

Worst customer service, when ever I go to Union City they are busy on their ear phones. Will not help in the best effort but just answers questions like a answering machine. Their Answers says it all, of their magnitude of customer satisfaction priority they have. Hopeless customer service but nice store for electronic needs.

You’ll get a trial for few days and that’s it you’ll have to spend anothe 60$ to get a decent game

This console is disappointing for as much hype as it got, it also had lots of issues with automatically switching inputs on my TV
