Affordable, fun, and easy to use, the nintendo switch is one of the best consoles for sale right now.

A fantastic portable system that also doubles as a home system as well... Or is it the other way around? Either way, if you're a fan of Nintendo new or old, this system has something to offer you: Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter (almost certainly), Pokemon (also almost certain), Splatoon 2, ARMS, Sonic Forces, and the list goes on. It'll be seeing a lot more 3rd party support soon too. Here's hoping for a Dark Souls trilogy remake or some other new "FromSoftware" title, but I digress. It's great console but right now the library is a little thin. The biggest (and debatably best) titles out now are Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe; however, in a month's time ARMS will be out (June 16th), and Splatoon 2 a month after that (July 21st). Both are intellectual properties of Nintendo (like Zelda, Star Fox and Mario), so they'll undoubtedly be good titles. The AAA game drought can be easily filled with many of the new Indies out now (See: Shovel Knight, Snake Pass, Kamiko, Snipperclips, and The Binding of Isaac) or that are coming out (Hallow Knight, Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove, Shakedown: Hawaii, and Overcooked! to name a few). By the time the holiday season comes around there will be a very full library of games. The real problem will be getting one of these things. If you remember the original Wii scarcity problems it's much like that, and it doesn't look like the demand is going down any time soon. Good luck getting one, but if you manage to get one you'll enjoy it.

It is everything I expected it to be. It is great on trips or at the office during lunch.

I got this for my parents for Christmas and it was the perfect gift!

I was given the Nintendo Switch as a gift 3 years ago. Having grown up with every Nintendo console since the classic NES, it was the last console to be added to the collection. At first I thought, as an adult with responsibilities, I might be too busy to sit down and play video games like the good old days. However, the Nintendo Switch has been an absolute game changer in the video game world. The console switches easily between handheld mode or docked mode, making it a breeze to go portable or be docked back to the TV. If you’re a Nintendo fan like I am, you might feel unsure about the controls, especially since this is the debut of the Joy-Con, but the controls still feel natural and intuitive when using the Joy-Cons in their various play modes. I’ve also noticed that the user interface in both the system menus and in the games, are simple enough to accommodate players of all ages, which means no one gets left out during family game night. One negative is the paid membership required to access online capabilities for many games. Even if you’re connected to the Wi-Fi that you probably already pay for, a yearly subscription for family members to be able to play together online from afar is $34.99. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this game console to both kids and the casual adult gamers with responsibilities, like myself. The graphics, portability, and usability will keep you fully immersed in the game and experience.

I've been a Nintendo gamer all my life and I'll still keep playing Nintendo games for as long as Nintendo keeps making them. Their latest console the Nintendo Switch, I really enjoy. The graphics looks great, it's portable and has great battery life, and there's a lot of fun games. The only cons I can see are that it only supports 1080P, graphics aren't as good as a PS4 or Xbox one, and the controllers are a little small. Other than that, I think anyone should purchase a Nintendo Switch that wants a great game console.

Though the concept of playing a game at home and on the go (Monster hunter 3 Ultimate Wiiu/3DS and Vita/Ps3 games) is hardly new, Nintendo steps up their game with making the whole system usable both at home and on the go. And while the Switch may not have the power under the hood that other home consoles have... You can't take those other consoles out with you on the road. Lets face it though, what really makes a system worth getting is its games and with Zelda: Breath of the Wild a day one launch, the switch is coming out swinging.
