Best console right now just like the wii u but it portable and u can take it with u on the go. On the wii u can watch tv and play on the tablet or play the game on tv but the switch u can play on tv or take it anywhere. There are some glitch to the system controller and any game u playing.. But overall it a good system to have.

    Nintendo is back...

Nintendo is back and better than ever in my opinion. I grew up playing the NES and also owned an SNES, N64, GC, Wii, & Wii U and loved them all. Let's be honest there first-party titles are usually the games that sell Nintendo consoles and that may be true for the switch as well. However now with the huge third-party support that they have from all the other developers this which is a must-have console for casual and hardcore gamers.

    Completely satisfied after semi-impulse buy

Nintendo got my attention with the Switch when they showed their reveal trailer at the end of 2016. I forgot about it until the week leading up to release. I did not preorder and on release day I decided to go down to the local Best Buy on my lunch break to see if any were left. I even called a friend of mine to tell me why I shouldn't buy it because I really didn't need to be spending money. Ended up buying it because I didn't want to be left high and dry like I was with the Wii when it came out (ended up buying an Xbox 360). So glad I bought it. Later got a Pro Controller and it is worth every penny (I was skeptical of a $70 instead of a $60 price like most first party controllers cost). Only complaint about this system is the lack of games, but a lot of consoles at launch suffered from the same problem. Also, the price of the extra dock ($60) that doesn't include any cables or the AC adapter is outrageous, but that's not this actual product (the console). Portability, convenience, "instant on" is so nice to have. I can get into Zelda in a fraction of the time it takes my Xbox One to load to the home screen.

I love how you can turn one controller into two controllers. The ease of use. The free online service. Wish it had more titles.

    Decent Console

Its an amazing idea of a console, but falls flat in a number of departments. First off, the power of this console is so dated. It was dated by many years even the day it was released. Now in 2020, even more so. Games looks absolutely terrible on this console and the frames arent any better. Games look like they belong on a ps2 and Id say some ps2 games look even better. Also, you have Nintendo. SO that means they will do teh bare minimum many times and you will almost always have to pay full price for games because they never lower the price of their games. Also, they have had a lot of hardware issues with the controllers, I thankfully havent had issues yet, but I dont play it that much and not with the joycons usually.

I love the Nintendo switch because I can take it on the go. I think I've played it more in the handheld version than on the TV, even when I am at home. Personally, I find this device shines as a high end handheld device. It's great to know that when you're headed on a trip you can pick up where you left off.

    Great when it works

The Nintendo Switch is a great product when it works. Most handheld games don't feel like "full games" but that is not the case with the Switch. It really does feel like a handheld "console". I also have a PS4 and some of the same games on both consoles. The convenience of being able to play those games on the go is amazing and there is no significant drop in quality. Now for the bad part. We bought our console almost 3 months ago. From day 1, one of the joy con wrist straps did not click when sliding into the joy con but we just let that one go because it seemed like it was still locked in place. The real kicker was when a few weeks ago my fiance complained about her joy con moving by itself when she started losing in Mario Kart. I brushed her off and thought it was a joke. Then I noticed it myself while playing a single player game. The left joy con motion stick would drift by itself every now and then. I looked it up online and found that many others had similar problems with "joy con drift." I tried all the different solutions that I could find: updating the controller, re-calibrating the motion stick, using an air blower to try and get any dust out from under the motion stick. None of these things worked. Now it has gotten worse. I've been playing an RPG game and randomly the cursor will move by itself and scroll through all the options over and over. It makes the game unplayable. We contacted Nintendo support and they sent a shipping label for us to send in the affected joy con because it is still under warranty. The problem with this is that though they sent a shipping label, we still have to buy a box to send it in and take time out of our day to bring it to a UPS to mail it in. Then on top of that, we can't use our Switch at home for a week or 2 until it comes back because we only have one joy-con. We are planning on mailing in the faulty joy con and strap tomorrow and hopefully, everything will be fixed. It's ridiculous that we spent $300 and encountered these issues within only 3 months. We had so much fun for the first two months with our Switch but this experience has left a sour taste in our mouth.

The Switch is a step up from its predecessor, the Wii U. The only huge con for me is its wifi chip has horrible signal range compared to all of my other devices in my household. My 3DS and Wii U have better range with no disconnects from the same location than my Switch does in docked and portable mode.

Absolutely loving my switch. This is the nintendo console I've been waiting for since the SNES days. Really well built and impressive piece of technology this system is. The only major flaws for me are obviously the short battery life, and the fact that it doesn't support bluetooth headphones. That's a big disappointment for me. Time to finish this review so I can go back to playing switch.
