Looks cool but let's be realistic.

I think Nintendo is on the right track with the Switch, The Wii U just couldn't compete with the superior graphics and online play that playstation and xbox have to offer, Nintendo has been relying on Pokemon and Mario for too long and needs to come up with a unique and working console that isn't some goofy contraption that no-one wants. I will say that one huge hurdle this console is going to have is that for people like me that have 4K tv's that support HDR and have already gotten an Xbox One S to act as a 4K blu-ray player, (it's the only console that supports 4K blu ray discs and HDR) why would I want to spend another $300+ just to play Mario in 1080p downgraded on my TV? The console doesn't even have a disc drive so unless you already have a blu ray player you will have to buy one to watch your movies so don't consider this console to be a perfect companion for your TV. I just wanted to share my god honest opinion about the console, I really do love Nintendo and was playing Mario at 6, but as a 25 year old I just can't see myself spending $300 for this thing when I could go buy a PS4 for the same price or even a pro for a little more and get access to all the games on the dark side. The other thing is that Xbox is launching the first true 4K native Scorpio console this year as well and I would much rather put $300 towards that. As usual sadly Nintendo is swinging and missing at the true hardware jockey/graphics nerds/movie buffs like myself and is trying to come up with some new hit thing which hasn't happened since the original Wii (which was amazing). I truly hopes it works out for them, maybe I will buy a Switch after it comes out and some real playtime get's put in?

    Best Nintendo Console EVER!

Out of many Nintendo consoles I have ever owned, the Switch is my absolute favorite. Despite the lack of backwards compatibly, this offers many great games as well as brilliant built-in features! Glad I made the purchase!

I absolutely love my Switch. Love having the ability to play on my tv and if I wanna go somewhere or someone else at home needs the tv I can continue to play while being mobile. Glad I purchased. Nintendo always ahead of the curve when it comes to gaming.

Best portable console so far! Specially because it can also be used with the TV. The only thing missing is Bluetooth.

Never have I been more excited for a console release then I have for the Nintendo Switch. Everything just feels right and I can't wait to come to Best Buy for the midnight release so I can pick up my pre-ordered Switch and Zelda: Breath of The Wild!

Without games, no game console can survive!

Most reviews here are based on how cool it is to play it at home, play it as a handheld or share the screen with friends anywhere. Yeah, it's cool, but so what if it doesn't have games. As a matter of fact, the more we can play it anywhere, anytime, the more games we will need since we would beat the games faster if we could only play it at home. But come on, the lineup games at launch sucks! Wii U even had more games at launch than Switch! Secondly, 3rd party support is even worse, Wii U at least had Call of Duty, Assassin's Creeds, Need For Speed,....And last, but not least, the quality of the games? Mostly indie games and ports (Just Dance 2017? Ultra Street Fighter 2? Mario Kart Deluxe? Even Super Bomberman is just a remake! And also, will we see graphic intense games like Zelda, Uncharted 4 in the future? I pretty much doubt it! Anyway, the bottom line is: we need more games, games, games!!! Also, both PS4 and XBOX One are not only cheaper but have way more (and quality) games. With Project Scorpio from Microsoft is out by the end of the year, I don't think Switch will survive even though Nintendo will cut the price by $50 which I think it probably will.

I saw the presentation and loved it. I have been following the Switch since it was code named NX and have been sold on the system since i heard what was rumored it could do. The Switch reveal trailer confirmed and destroyed many of the rumors.

Nintendo has finally gone back to its roots with the switch!! the potential of this new system is outstanding. If the hype of the console and its line up of games succeed to please fans,Nintendo might have the next Nintendo 64 on it's hands.

    Great console

Picked this up at best buy on launch day. The power of this system is unprecedented - I have a model 2 nvidia tablet, and the power in this thing is like a night and day comparison to that. Versus the Wii U, this thing wins especially, doing what the Wii U should've been able to do.

Nintendo rebounds after the Wii U

What a tremendously well executed idea coming to life. This system wins back the hardcore crowd Nintendo lost during the Wii-Wii U days. Zelda, Mario, and Smash Bros are better than ever, and more mobile than ever.

    Nintendo Switch Grey

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Launch titles are very limited but very excited to see more titles come out like Mario and splatoon. Everything except the Joy-Cons feel cheap to me but hey I spend $300 for a machine that plays nintendo titles and a sports car. The Eshop is nice and quick but very boring to look at with it's lack of titles. Couldn't believe their wasn't a game package in so it's not even really $300, but same goes for Xbox One and PS4. Hope Nintendo does it right, cause they got my money hooked in.

This is an amazing hybrid. The membership options are very low price and most games from other developers are cheaper. I only wish there was bluetooth but there's other options to gain that feature.

It might not be the most powerful console but it is really fun, for the whole family, handheld mode is amazing in most games, although the games are a little overpriced, and the pro controller, it is still worth it
