First this is not a console, it is a tablet with a HDMI dock. I really love the promise and potential of the Switch. The hardware and all the concepts are great. I've been having fun just transforming the system into all it's various configurations, the snapping sounds and switching the Joycons around is a satisfying feeling. However, we're paying for potential right now and that's it. Zelda IS amazing, but in a month it's going to be collecting dust. Nintendo is being shockingly arrogant or disorganized with their lack of communication. The system is here and we still don't know anything about their Online plans, when the Virtual console will launch, how the online chat features will work. What few announcements we have gotten has been worse than before. The idea that you can't transfer saves AT ALL - so if something happens to your "console" "Oh well...", use your downloadable games on other systems without formatting the SD Cards, or even transfer saves from the limited internal storage to the external cards makes this a deal breaker for me. It's annoying they announced these limitations until AFTER the launch doesn't give me confidence in what other "plans" Nintendo have. I'm probably returning mine in the next few days because of this. Don't buy this now, wait until the fall when we know what this Beta product is actually going to deliver.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. To say he was thrilled would be an understatement.

I love the Nintendo Switch. Some amazing games are coming out this fall and for the holidays. It already has a handful of games available already witch are amazing and next year is proving to be amazing.

Stupid Xbox and PS4 fans come to hate on positive comments and thumb everyone down. They've nothing better to do because they are away from home and angry they can't play your Call of Dumpcrap on the go.

I finally caved in and got this for my kiddos birthday and let me just say his level of excitement was out of this world!

Perfect Chritmas present! Kids were bot expecting it since it was sild out everywhere, but Best Buy saved the day!

The graphics and sound are so nice. The layout feels comfortable. I liked the gray better than the red and blue as it looks a little sleeker. Would buy as a gift.

This is Nintendo's comeback, the launch lineup is not as strong as I would like it to be, but there are tons of awesome first party games coming out this year and early next year!

If you choose to purchase this online, it will not arrive for two weeks even if you select expedited shipping. Was told by multiple people (online and on the phone) there is no customer service in the United States and will be forwarded to a call canter in India. That will leave you with no resolution and having to explain why Christmas gifts you told your kids were coming today are taking the slowest possible shipping method, aka 14 days with FedEx. Don't leave your gifting experience in the hands of Best Buy!

The switch is an innovative and fun piece of gaming hardware. It’s a smart hybrid for a home and portable console that is accompanied by so many great games.

Very fun and I love it, but Joy Cons are wearing out really fast. Don't know why, but the right joy con comes off without pressing the button, and the joy sticks don't "click" anymore. AKA the buttons don't work underneath them. Puts me in a hard spot because I don't want to pay freakin 80$ for new ones. Also the screen has a slight bend to it? don't know what that means.

The new Nintendo Switch is a great little system, but unless you are an early adopter or huge fan of Nintendo, you can wait until more games come out later in the holidays.

After owning this, software issues and poor user interface is able to be overlooked, but the controllers are cheaply made and have radio interference as well as wear out and break incredibly fast. This wouldn't be an issue aside they are the most expensive of the consoles out. The games are good for people who have young children or who have several people over frequently but are expensive. Compared to other systems the operation and use of the product is truly poor and under developed and the issues with hardware and constant fiddling while getting ghost inputs or no inputs is a deal breaker. I have faith with software updates this is fixable but I've spoken with many owners who have had similar issues, I guess I just have higher expectations for a gaming console.
