What a great buy!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this!! Very easy to use and the picture quality is way better than I expected. Very sturdy and fits in the palm of my hands perfectly. Would definitely recommend this! You can take it anywhere with you, and the kids just love it. Keeps them quiet throughout a long car ride as well. Worth every penny.

Best switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although the switch lite is small it has to be my favorite. it’s small, portable, and fits into any bag. i love to play games on the go and it fits into my backpack and doesn’t add any weight. i also think that the switch lite is great for kids! it’s cheaper than the other models and you can still play your favorite switch games.

Overall Good System for What it's Made For
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch lite is very nice if you want to play games on the go. Handled all Switch games fairly well that I've played. Only cons (which are technically features): -- No ability to connect to TVs via HDMI cables. Not just the Regular switch Docks, but also any socks that connect via USB-C are not compatible. --joy cons are the same as the switch. It will likely get stick drift at some point. I recommend the protection plan so it can be repaired or replaced if needed. --Capacity is small for memory. This is easily fixed with a microSD thankfully. Otherwise, its a good system that works as intended: a light weight version of the regular switch.

Best purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most people think it would be stupid to buy a switch lite if you already have the regular switch. But what compelled me to buy it was the beautiful color and that it’s 10000000 times better handheld than the regular switch (duhhhhh) every time I used the switch in handheld it made my hands hurt cause it was just too big for a handheld as well as I was uncomfortable to bring it anywhere like on trips cause it was just not as portable as it’s supposed to be. So I was interested in getting this for Handheld purposes and was gonna keep my original strictly as a home console. And it was honestly the best idea ever had. Really good console!

Adorable switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this for my sister so she could have something to do during quarantine and she loves it! The color is super cute although I would have liked it a bit more pastel pink, the coral color is also very nice. Rather than a pink pink, it has more of an orangey like coral. I think it’s a pretty unique color compared to the others so I’m glad I got this! Since I also own the regular switch the lite is smaller than it. For people with smallish hands I recommend the lite since it is a bit easier and more comfortable to hold on your hands. Love it a lot!

Can’t Miss
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Nintendo Switch and if you need something that’s more portable and affordable then look no more. The quality is lower than the original Switch but there’s a lot more upside as well. I never felt comfortable taking my Switch on road trips because of how bulky and all the accessories included. The Lite is my new on the road companion.

Great pandemic purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered April 22 and received April 28. Screen size and graphics are impressive. Battery life is as described, usually around 4 total hours of playtime before needing to charge. Encouraged me to fight with the scalper bots to buy the full size console from Best Buy so my family can play games together. Great purchase, make sure to put a screen protector on it.

Good alternative to the original
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basically a budget friendly Nintendo Switch that's meant to be more portable. Unlike the iphone 11 and iphone 11 Pro, Galaxy 10e and Galaxy 10, iphone XR and iphone X, etc it doesn't keep all features the same, just downgraded. In fact like the Nintendo 2DS (compared to 3DS) it actually takes away some features. If you already own a Nintendo Switch console, you can sync* or transfer from your profile/games/saves using your Nintendo account. Very simple; when you boot up system for first time it'll walk you through it step-by-step *If you sync or link one account to multiple switch consoles, the non-main one has to verify every few hours to play downloaded games which can be a hassle if you don't have internet connection Let's go through the list of changes: 1. Size, weight, portability Overall size in general: The Switch Lite is basically the Original Switch (I'll be referring it to 'Switch' moving forward) but with one of the joy cons detached. You think this will be more portable, but in practice from my personal experience it's not. If you consider size only The Switch can detach joycons for better storage. Downside is that you must be aware where you put the screen and joycons and attach them later. There is a difference if you pocket thing whole thing without detaching i guess Seeing the smaller size, there may be more hand cramping involved if you have giant adult sized hands Switch Lite is lighter in weight, but it's not a night-and-day difference. Not going to tell unless you have both side-by-side in each hand. Bezels are colored which is nice. It's not black like on the Switch, so able to distinguish where the screen ends 2. No detachable joycons Cannot detach joycons, making the logo snap/click sound clip that game trailers start off/ends with absolutely useless when referring to Switch line of systems in general. As one singular unit, fused into the system; feels more solid in the hand compared to original Downside is that it loses some functionality in some games You are not able to split controllers to let a friend play Some games that you can't play on Switch Lite out of the box (as of this review) are: 1-2 Switch Fitness Boxing Just Dance (Series) Nintendo Labo (Series) Nintendo Lano VR Ring Fit Adventures Super Mario Party Surgeon Simulator There are also other games that's not as convenient to play in handheld only like: ARMS Fortnight Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Mario Tennis Aces Pokemon Let's Go series Super Mario Odyssey Splatoon 2 Zelda Breath of the Wild You can buy joy cons to play on Switch Lite, but that costs additional $70 MSRP. Might as well buy a Switch at that point If the thumb sticks breaks or if there are drifting issues, you can have it fixed by Nintendo for $80. 3. Cannot be docked to TV, no kick stand No docking station. If you own the Switch with docking station; the Switch Lite cannot fit in it. As of right now, there's no official docking station for Switch Lite from Nintendo, and no 3rd party adapters No kickstand to play on tabletop mode. Seeing the smaller screen you wouldn't want to anyway even when a lot of controllers are sync and people squinting their eyes when huddled around the system 4. Has a D-Pad. Best feature of the system in my opinion. Better tactile feel when playing. Enhances gameplay especially when playing 2D fighters D-pad and other buttons (ABXY, shoulder buttons) are more muted when pressed which is great when playing in a public setting 5. No IR, HD Rumble The IR Motion Camera and HD rumble features have been removed. Games that support these features will not work on Switch lite 6. Better battery?? 4-7 hours versus the 3-6 hours of the original launch Nintendo Switch. If you buy the newer 2019 model of Switch (Retail box with a lot of Red), the battery life is better than the Switch Lite 7. New colors Comes in Turquoise, Grey and Yellow There's also a Pokemon Sword and Shield ( Zacian and Zamazenta) Edition edition 8. Smaller screen 5.5 vs 6.2 inch screen Resolution is the same at 720p, but more compact making it appear sharper with a 267ppi vs 236ppi Overall, I like the concept of a more portable (?), affordable switch, but I don't like the fact that it exists. If it's like the 2ds (with no 3d support). Devs (even first party) will eventually take away features in games in the future: motion controls, AR support, HD rumble, docked TV mode, etc to cater to a wider audience. They should have just made it smaller and kept everything the same Good buy for those budget friendly, but if you like more options best to go for the upgrade if you can afford it.

can't put down
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave this to my daughter who got dean's list last quarter. She loves it so much and couldn't out down. the color is so cute, just perfect for her. she's a college student by the way so this ain't just for little girls. she plays animal crossing which helps her relax especially when she needs a little break from her school work. if you want something to carry around and not planning on using a big screen to play your games then this is your best bet. it's less money with all the same fun as the usual switch with console.

Great, but Storage...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device mores like a charm, but the storage is a little on the downside of things. I have one game and it took almost half of the available storage.

My autistic son approves, as do I
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this console primarily for my autistic son since he loves playing on the regular switch we have. Got to the point we'd both game together regularly but some games he wanted to play required full controllers. Such as LEGO games and his train games on the device. Instead of buying a controller I decided to get him this, and he loves it! The switch Lite is as in the name, lite compared to the Nintendo Switch (old) fits better in my son's hands, the screen is smaller but I've noticed that the pixels seem more clean and crisp. My son was upset about the fact that the switch lite doesn't have vibration but personally with his autism its less stimulation. The battery is honestly solid, son and I spent a Saturday morning Grinding LEGO Star Wars the skywalker saga, bough a second copy so he had his own, and I was more surprised that my switch died quicker than his so thats a perk. Overall between my son and I we both love the little console, he likes the fact that it's easier to hold, easier to put in his backpack or in his words, "Not heavy in my pocket" Tempted to get the Zelda themed switch lite for myself, but I want to wait until we get his switch lite repaired. (Son wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and tripped and the console's screen is no longer responsive.)

Exceeded expectations
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a gift for my sister and she loved it. The color was better in person than I thought it’d be, it’s not such a bright pink. I gave it a star less on quality only because it is all plastic and can feel a bit cheap but serves the purpose of being robust which is great for kids. The Switch Lite is perfect for casual gamers who have no desire to play it on the TV and want a fun very portable gaming experience.

Mom's a Big Fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my mom as an early Christmas gift. She LOVES it and now plays more video games than I do! She's almost 60 and this is her first console, so I was a little concerned that it might be hard to teach her how to use it, but she was playing Animal Crossing after only an hour. She's always been a big fan of World of Warcraft but I don't think she's logged into it since she got this. It's so much cheaper to play games on the Switch, so my dad's happy, too.

Portable and Powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch Lite is a great handheld console for gaming on the go. It’s compact, lightweight, and the built-in controls feel comfortable even during longer sessions. The screen is bright and clear, and the battery life is solid for a device this size. I really enjoy being able to dive into games like Zelda or Animal Crossing wherever I am. That said, the lack of TV connectivity and detachable Joy-Cons means it’s not quite as versatile as the original Switch. If you’re only looking for a portable experience, it’s an excellent value—but if you want more flexibility, you might miss those extra features. Overall, it’s a solid choice for casual and dedicated players who prioritize handheld play.
