The Switch Lite is ,in my opinion, a better device than the original. I play exclusively in handheld mode and this is more portable,has better graphics and battery life. I"m keeping the old one in case I ever decide to play in docked mode. A good buy if you play primarily in hand held mode or are a first time Switch buyer.

I've been wanting a smaller version of the Switch since last year. The original switch it too big to take on the go. Switch Lite is a lot smaller, lighter, slightly better battery life. Best of all, It's easier to take with me where ever I go compared to the original. 5/5 stars. Thanks Nintendo.

Great if you want to play Switch games on the go, and aren't worried about hooking it up to the TV. Also makes for a great secondary machine if you have kids.

My daughter loves it! Right out of the box it couldn’t be easier to use.

Perfect for my needs. Wanted something less bulky and more portable than the Switch (I find the Switch is still too large in handheld mode) and this fits the bill! Great graphics, and great performace. It is also very comfortable to hold, and the different color options make gaming that much more fun.

The switch lite is a great handheld gaming device that meets expectations. This is great for kids, casual games, and those on the go. Be advised that not all games will be offered on Switch (such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc.) but there are still good games such as: Fortnite, Rocket league, (Coming soon) Apex, Witcher 3, and Skyrim. Of course you also have your Nintendo exclusives like Pokemon and Mario games. As a twenty-something this is great to take on the go or practice rocket league tricks on the couch. Reviewing the hardware, the console is very thin but this can cause some hand cramping. You will NOT be able to display this on a TV but that is the point of this console. The RB and LB buttons are very sensitive and easy to press which can get annoying when using it as a Hulu streaming device, but it is not a problem in games. The battery life is decent with 3-5 hours of gaming time depending on internet usage and processing power needed for game. Nintendo did a good job bringing back dedicated handhelds, but I do wish Switch would consider allowing Xbox Gamepass and XCloud. This was an offer put out a while back which would let the Switch stream intensive games that are not offered on Switch, and it would also let you bring games from either console. But that is a topic for another forum :) Definitely worth the price, and would be a great B Friday, C Monday item to purchase for the holiday season. Especially since it looks like Covid is spiking again and we may be heading towards more lockdowns! This review was written in 10/2020 so it may be outdated by the time you read this. I can't believe that I waited so long to get a switch. This is AWESOME. Unlike prior handhelds (DS, Gameboy Advance, etc. . . .) which played stunted, graphically weaker versions of games that bore little resemblance to their console counterparts, this device plays the EXACT same games as its television capable counterpart. I like the lite version in particular because: 1. Cool color (I love this blue) 2. Better battery life 3. integrated controls with a traditional D-Pad (the separate joycons always "off" to me). At some point I am going to go ahead and pick up a set of joycons (and a separate charger since you can't charge them using this device) just so that I can take better advantage of motion controls in some games (looking at you "Arms"). I think it's very cool that I have this option (the advantage of integrated controls with the option for external if I want them). Memory is somewhat paltry at 32GB. I'm going top have to pick up an SD card to supplement the internal storage. "Smite" and "Paladins" appear to take up a little less than 20GB each, so I'm thinking that I don't want to get anything less than 128GB if I'm going to put "Rocket League" and "Fortnite" on this as well. So far, this has been absolutely great. I strongly recommend this console.

I love the lite as a portable and easy way to pass the time. However, if you do have the extra money to buy the full switch, I would recommend you do that. I'm actually considering finally making the switch to the full one (even though we already have one in the house). It's a little sad that it can't connect to the TV to play on the big screen and if you have issues with the joysticks, you can't just go out and buy new ones as easily as the full version. I recommend the lite if you're really just wanting to stick with the compact console feel and you're tight on cash. I got mine at the beginning of the pandemic because it was impossible to get the full one. I still enjoy it, but each has their own perks that you'll have to weigh before buying.

My teenage daughter loves this switch! It is portable and an appealing color. Money well spent
