If you are looking to buy a Nintendo Switch but really don't want to spend a crazy amount of money, go with the Lite. The console is attractive and feels light and easier to fit in the hands. The display is slightly smaller and does not have the ability to be displayed on the TV but if you are like me and enjoy playing directly on the console, this is the better option. It also does not have removable joy cons, which i enjoy. They don't die like with the original one. I highly recommend!

Full disclosure I am an entire adult and do not have children and do not even have to be around children. With that being said I have been losing my mind since the mass quartantine started and while I understand I needed something to do other than drink and panic. It's very user friendly and the digital downloads were surprisingly fast considering the Lite doesn't have as much space available. I strongly suggest getting a microSD card if you don't intend to have physical copies of your games because I can only comfortably fit two games on it as is. But there's no lag and is as reliable as Nintendo has always been.

I have a full Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite. The Lite has a slightly smaller screen but there is a notable weight difference. This can be important if you get wrist or hand pain from long gaming sessions. Otherwise it is a great console and there are tons of games for it. Be mindful of the differences in the Lite vs the full Switch. Some games will have limited functionality or worse. So get familiar with what you are going to play before deciding to jump in. Also, at the time I bought it you cannot move your game in Animal Crossing from one console to the other. That may factor into your decision.

If you like your switch but just don't play it on your tv, this is a great alternative for you. Lighter, sleeker and smaller, it's perfect for on-the-go gaming. And although it's lighter, it doesn't lose any of the quality feel you get from the switch. It doesn't feel like a knock-off or cheapskate version of the switch. Additionally, I wish it was as easy to access the Switch' micro SD card as it is on here.

The Lite is a decent portable system if you have never used a regular Switch and have no idea about its features, most of which are missing here. It cannot dock to a TV, the screen is small and average quality, it has poor battery life, worse sound, no rumble, no kickstand, and the joy cons can’t be removed for local multiplayer. But you know, aside from all THAT it’s pretty okay. It’s a frustrating handheld because the buttons are actually far better than the normal Switch’s joy cons, and it’s lighter in the hands, yet it’s worse in just about every other area. It makes you wish you could just take those buttons and put them on a regular Switch, or the OLED. I’m not sure why Nintendo doesn’t update their joy cons with these better buttons. It makes their whole Switch lineup maddening because no matter which Switch you use, your experience will be lacking compared to another model. There is no perfect Switch, not even when you factor in third party accessories. So have fun with that I guess!

I bought this gift for my Sister on Christmas since i never bought anything as a brother so i decided to suprise her with this gift which she loved a lot, i told her that if i saw her playing it i would buy her any game she would want as a gesture for appreciation it.

Durable enough for kids, portable and sleek enough for adults. If you don't want a system to connect to your TV and just want to play handheld, this works great. But if you even have the slightest reservation about wanting to play Nintendo games on your TV or want to play with family and friends, just spring for the regular Switch. This is definitely a personal device, not one to share with others.
