We have the Switch but my son only plays it in portable mode. It’s annoying how the controllers slide off sometimes so this will be a good way for him to play.

If you know you'll never use your switch on your TV this is perfect. Also the battery lasts longer than the regular detachable Switch.

Awesome product! You can really tell that they had a portable console in mind when they made it. It fits perfectly in your back pocket.

I have a full Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite. The Lite has a slightly smaller screen but there is a notable weight difference. This can be important if you get wrist or hand pain from long gaming sessions. Otherwise it is a great console and there are tons of games for it. Be mindful of the differences in the Lite vs the full Switch. Some games will have limited functionality or worse. So get familiar with what you are going to play before deciding to jump in. Also, at the time I bought it you cannot move your game in Animal Crossing from one console to the other. That may factor into your decision.

My 4 year old love his switch lite. He gets addicted to it, so I have to set a maximum time limit. It’s great for long road trips or for those boring rainy days.

Great game systems for the kids and take it everywhere

My older son has the Nintendo Switch, but the Switch Lite is perfect for my 5 year old! He loves it!! Very happy with the purchase.

If you like your switch but just don't play it on your tv, this is a great alternative for you. Lighter, sleeker and smaller, it's perfect for on-the-go gaming. And although it's lighter, it doesn't lose any of the quality feel you get from the switch. It doesn't feel like a knock-off or cheapskate version of the switch. Additionally, I wish it was as easy to access the Switch' micro SD card as it is on here.

Bought this at the beginning of the pandemic for my wife to play Animal Crossing. She's put probably over 500 hours into it and it's been great. No issues!
